Dear Starboy,

As if it were possible for me to pick ONE favorite friend! They’re all special to me in different ways, you know?

Let’s start with Harry. He pushes me out of my comfort zone and I feel like I am unstoppable and so powerful when I am with him. He’s the reason I sometimes bend the rules, so maybe he’s a slightly bad influence, but I like that I can push my boundaries with him and get a lot of once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

And next, Ron. He is the funniest person I know. He never fails to give me a good laugh, and I know I can always count on him to cheer me up. Even if he is supremely annoying at times, I love that I can let loose around him. He’s a great reminder that sometimes I just need to relax and have fun!

As for Ginny, she is my voice of reason. I can talk to her about anything and she is always there to be a listener. She’s a much more social person than I, so I know I can always count on her for the best advice in those scenarios. She was actually the first person I talked about you to. She helped me with the initial shock of finding out who you are and navigating a new relationship. No matter what happens, she is always my biggest supporter.

As such, I don’t really have a true favorite, per say. But, don’t tell Harry or Ron, but I think Ginny might be beating them by a tiny bit.

Anyways, take your time in telling your friends. I don’t want to pressure you. I know how annoying and mean Draco can be (except I don’t think he would kill you). I’m really not in any rush to make this public either. I like that this is kept between us. It’s our little secret.

Love,

Bookworm

“So… don’t you think it’s time to tell her who you are? For real, this time?” Blaise commented.

“Yeah mate, she thinks you’re mean and annoying,” Theo added.

“But I’m the one writing to her, and she likes Starboy,” Draco retorted.

“You’re just confusing her.”

“Yeah, when she inevitably finds out who Starboy is, she won’t know what to think. She has this idea of Draco that is negative, and it won’t line up to who she thinks Starboy is. You’re not doing her any favors by continuing to lie.”

“Dude,” Blaise’s eyes widened, “when did you get so clever?”

Theo smirked, “When I became Starboy, duh.”

Draco rolled his eyes as Blaise side-eyed him. “In all seriousness, Draco, you need to tell her.”

“Since when do you lot care?” Draco scoffed.

“Since this has been driving all three of us insane! You can’t publicize your love so you’re miserable. I need to walk around pretending to be Granger’s boyfriend,” Theo commented with a disgusted face, “And Blaise can’t say a word about this, and Blaise loves to talk. Can’t you see you’re hurting him?” He pointed at his dark-haired friend, who put on his best fake pouting face.

“Even if I were to tell her the truth, don’t you think I’m in too deep?”

“Salazar’s sake, mate! If you don’t tell her, you’ll get in even more deep!” Blaise exclaimed.

Draco sighed, “You’re right… Do you think it’s better to ease her into it or catch her in a shock and just come out and say it?”

My dearest Bookworm,

Deep down I always knew you found Weasley annoying. But enough about that. I was thinking that next weekend, the two of us could spend some alone time together. Like a date. Maybe not in public, but I would love to see you in a context that is just the two of us. I am looking forward to it.

Love,

Starboy

P.S. Draco was not ever, is not now, and will never be a killer.
