Nadia Weasley is the biological child of Fred Weasley and Russian witch Alina Levin. Before she was 4 months old, she had lost both parents. Fred died during the final battle of the Second Wizarding War. Alina committed suicide 6 months later. Nadia was adopted by George Weasley and Angelina Johnson when she was 5 years old. They have been “mom and dad” for as long as she could remember. She was 6 years old when her twin siblings, Freddie and Roxanne, were born. As the first granddaughter, she was very spoiled.
Growing up, Nadia heard stories about her “uncle” Fred and the antics that he and George got up to. It wasn’t until age 10 that she found out George was not her biological father. It wasn’t until age 18 that she found out what happened to her biological mother. Nadia is the first Weasley related by blood to not have red hair. She is blonde like biological mother.
Nadia is very close to her aunt Hermione Granger-Weasley. She was a very curious child, always asking questions. Hermione was the only adult to try and answer all of her questions. She is also a bookworm like her aunt. Hermione always made sure to provide her with the best books and discussed them with her later. Nadia is also very close to her grandmother, Molly. Molly taught her how to bake from a young age. Nadia has a major sweet tooth and bakes when she is stressed.
Nadia has a wonderful relationship with her younger siblings. When she gets too into her books, the twins often remind her to come up for air and have fun. Prank wars between the three of them (and George) happen more often than not at their house. Nadia, Freddie, and Roxanne have matching tattoos on their biceps. Each sibling has one of the “three wise monkeys”; Nadia has 'hear no evil'. Their mother was livid when she found out; their father just laughed.
Nadia was on a broom before she could walk. Her mother, Angelina, was a chaser for the Montrose Magpies; she made sure Nadia, Freddie, and Roxanne, knew how to handle a broom. When Nadia was 7 years old, she snuck out of the house to fly by herself. She ended up three towns over, lost. It took 6 hours to find her.
As a child, she was close to cousins Victoire Weasley and Teddy Potter. She is also very close with Amaya Jelani, who is George and Angelina’s goddaughter. They grew up like sisters. Nadia and Teddy were a year older than Victoire, meaning they started Hogwarts without her. Nadia was sorted into Ravenclaw house. She is the first biological Weasley to be sorted somewhere other than Gryffindor. While at Hogwarts, she met her best friends: Remi Miller, Samuel Bell, and Adam Reynolds. She also became good friends with Katie Shackelbolt and Logan Campbell.
At Hogwarts, she was at the top of her class. She understood the lessons quicker than her classmates. Other students often asked her for tutoring. Her best subject was charms. By her 7th year, she was a teaching assistant for Professor Flitwick. In her 5th year, she was appointed as a prefect. Also in her 5th year, she became a chaser for the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Her most embarrassing moment happened in her 2nd year. While in class, she accidentally ate a Canary Cream ™ and burst into feathers. Her classmates called her “Tweety” for a week. She graduated Hogwarts with high honors and was valedictorian.
At age 10, George gently explained to Nadia that her real father was Fred. Fred had died 3 months before she was born, and George had immediately stepped into the role as father. Nadia accepted this explanation. When she was 18, her relationship with her parents became very strained. Previously, they had only told her that her mother had died when she was a baby; they never told her much more than that. George and Angelina sat her down and told her the truth: her mother had moved to the UK from Russia and met Fred right before the War had started. They dated in secret and didn’t tell anyone when her mother, Alina, had gotten pregnant. They didn’t meet Alina until the day of Fred’s funeral. They, along with their close friend Odessa Jelani, had helped Alina cope with Fred’s death, moving her into Fred’s empty room in George’s flat. Once Nadia was born, Alina suffered through postpartum depression and was largely unable to care for Nadia. One night in November, Alina ended her own suffering.
Nadia was hurt that her parents had kept this information from her for so long. She left them, angry, and didn’t speak to them for three months. During those months, one question went through her mind: why wasn’t she enough? It pained her to think that she wasn’t enough for her mother to keep living. These thoughts sent Nadia into an identity crisis. She lost herself for a bit. She started partaking in risky behaviors, like drinking too much and partying with muggles. Her friends and her sibling saw what was happening and was able to pull her back from the edge. Also during this time, her friends were well stocked in baked good; Nadia stress baked the entire 3 months. She eventually came to terms with the information she had learned and forgave her parents. To honor her mother’s memory, she taught herself how to speak Russian. She also tracked down her aunt in Russia and started a relationship with her.
Nadia is an introvert. As said before, she loves to read and learn. She much rather stay in with a good book than to go out clubbing. Although she is a bookworm, she knows how to have fun and loves the outdoors. She often goes hiking and plays quidditch with her friends.
Nadia is currently enrolled at the University of London’s magic school. She is pursuing her charms mastery. While in school, she acts as a teaching assistant for her “spell and hex creation” class. She is also a student teacher at a wizarding elementary school.
When not wearing her professional teaching attire, Nadia likes boho and casual fashions. She loves Adele and Elton John (who are both magic). She loves watching muggle movies, especially dumb comedies. She currently lives in a flat close to the university with her best girl-friend, Remi Miller. She is dating Logan Campbell.
