29-Oct Letters from Home
28-Oct
How are you, Ava? My mother just told me that we will be going to the Battersea Park Fireworks for Bonfire Night next weekend. Will you get to do anything exciting at your school?
I have been getting together with Ronan after school recently. He isn’t you, but I’m finding I don’t mind that. We have a lot in common. He and I joined a pick up rugby game at the park the other day. Our team lost, but at least we had a lot of fun!
What were you doing in your fencing club that you got hurt the second session? I hope that you don’t get any more injuries! How are your classes going? Mine are boring. If I get one more little note from my teacher about my handwriting needing to be more legible, I might scream!
Write back soon and tell me all about this Halloween Feast! What kind of foods will you have? Will there be candies or costumes?
I miss you! It’s too bad I can’t call you.

Dearest Ava,
Baby Dawn and her mother and grandmother are all doing well. I haven’t actually seen any of them since you went back to school, but Mrs. McAllister and I have spoken on the phone. Just the other day, she told me how Dawn is starting to smile at everyone and giggle!
Your father has been very busy at work and I haven’t gotten to see him much recently, however he asked me to tell you that he loves you very much.
We are beginning to make plans with your grandparents for the Christmas Holidays. I hope things are settled down for him so that we may all enjoy the holiday and your time at home.
Make sure your work very hard on those shielding charms if you are going to be in the dueling club! I would venture to say your shield charms are the most important since they will prevent accidents like the one you have described in your letter. The obstacle course sounds fun, although I shudder at the idea of you flying around on a broom!
How are your studies? What have you been learning? I do hope you are keeping up your grades! I’m glad you have joined a club, but do not slack on your homework! Let me know how your classes are going. Now that you’ve been there a couple of months, do you have a favorite class?
How are you getting along with your new friends and classmates?
Write back soon! I know you are very busy, but hearing from you is the most wonderful thing.
I love you so much, sweetheart.
