Hogwarts is Real?
Summary
Just a fun project i wanted to try. The idea is to write diary entries on real days as though from the perspective of a hogwarts student.lets see how well i do and if i can make it interesting...if it goes well, i'll do more than one year. TO BE CLEAR: A year will take a year.I can't say i'll write every day, nor do i totally have a plot planned out. I do hope that i can keep up a creative concept.I will update tags etc as I go along.***July 7, 2024: For those reading Power of Three I *still* haven't forgotten it. My writing muse has been all but dead the past year; Lots of not happy chaos. I am trying to reignite my muse and get back on it. Don't give up on me yet!***

Ugh. I never imagined I would have so much homework at Hogwarts!

I’m sorry I haven’t written much, Diary. I’ve just been too busy! I need to write back to Lottie and Mum and Dad, too, or they might think I forgot about them!

First of all, since I last wrote in here, I have attended all of the classes on my schedule at least once.

Flying was both amazing and terrifying!
Madam Hooch (I think she’s the same witch as from the Harry Potter books!) had us flying a few feet off the ground and completing a sort of arial obstacle course to help us learn to control the broom. It was thrilling to be flying, but I’m glad we haven’t been allowed to fly too high yet. I’m scared to go any higher!

Astronomy has been interesting, which is good. Otherwise I’d fall asleep. Currently we are studying Cygnus, Draco and Cepheus. I have a test tomorrow; I’m going to have to draw them and identify each star in the constellations with nothing but my telescope, quill, parchment and memory. I don’t think I’ll do very well…

Charms is another class I’m confident that I have the same Professor as Harry Potter! Professor Flitwick has been teaching us Wingardium Leviosa and other levitation charms just like he taught Harry and his friends in his first year! No one has managed to make their feathers blow up, though. Haha

Professor Calderon is sick, so today and last Friday, we have had a free period during Wizarding Traditions. I don’t have much to share about it because of that.

But Potions! I think Professor Malfoy might be the proof I needed that the Harry Potter books are real! Lyra doesn’t look very much like him, but I’m afraid to ask her if they’re related. I haven’t spent a lot of time with her yet.

Wether or not Professor Malfoy is Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter books, he is very nice. We have only had one class so far, but I can’t wait for the next one. He told us we would be making our first potions if we do well on the test he will give us when we arrive. He refused to tell us what the test was on, but since he had us learning all about safety in the potions lab and what to do if something goes wrong, I think that’s what the test will be about. However, I’ve been reading the textbook and studying it as well.

I have to go, Geoff and I need to go to Transfiguration. I took too long in here; it’s a good thing my homework is done because I wrote in here so long I didn’t leave myself time to study!
