...Surprise?...Please don't kill both of me

Harry barely got a chance to think before Sirius started firing off spells at a rapid pace.

He would like to say that he effortlessly dodged them but that would be a lie.

Hey, it was hard when wearing an invisibility cloak and trying to protect the baby version of himself from harm! He may be a skilled auror but he isn't Merlin. He's prone to make mistakes too!

"I know you're there," Sirius almost growled in a low voice. "You might as well give it up and reveal yourself already."

Harry sighed. "Okay, okay. Just hear me out before you jump to any conclusions."

Harry, not waiting for an answer, held baby Harry in one hand and took off his cloak with the other.

Sirius was clearly surprised that Harry had used an invisibility cloak instead of a spell but didn't say anything. Instead, he chose to disarm Harry.

"Before I begin...can we please make this conversation private? I have a lot of confidential information that we both really don't want to be made public," Harry almost begged his Godfather. "It would probably be wise to obliviate the muggles too".

Sirius was silent for a long time, so Harry awkwardly rocked baby Harry and shushed him to fill the silence.

"Fine," Sirius bit out as he cast a spell. "Now get talking before I do something you don't like".

"My name is Harry James Potter and-"

"Impossible," Sirius growled.

"-and I am apparently a time traveller".

Sirius stared at him in disbelief. Time turners weren't a secret but there is no way that an obviously adult 'Harry' had come back to the date of 'his' parent's death.

"Please Padfoot," Harry willed his Godfather to understand as Sirius' eyes widened and then quickly narrowed. "This is baby me. Once I got sent back, I had to come back for him. This night went very differently in my time. I just wanted to protect myself, you, and Moony. Is it so bad that I wanted at least one version of me to get a normal childhood?! Is it so bad that I wanted little Harry to grow up knowing his Godfather?! Is it?!"

Sirius was speechless. Merlin. That was a lot. He had so many questions. How does he know about Padfoot and Moony? How does he know that Sirius is Harry Potter's Godfather? The man seemed so angry and so hurt that Sirius was almost convinced.

It was then that Sirius had a great idea.

"You're coming with me."
