Staring at the ceiling Edward Lupin chased thoughts round and round through his throughly peculiar mind.

He heard snoring, the tip tip tapping of a branch against the window, leveled breathing, but not much else.

Hogwarts was quiet. No loud buzzing lights. Just silence.

At least, during the night.

Loud children, screaming, laughing, noise noise noise.

Putting his hands over his ears and rocking himself back and forth, Edward calmed himself.

At least he had Nova. His only and very best friend. Nothing would happen to her.
