Chapter 8

It all started with a summoning charm.

It didn’t take long for Harry Potter to realise that he would need to take care of himself while he was at Hogwarts or he would be taken advantage of. He also realised that Albus Dumbledore wasn’t the good kindly eccentric old man he makes himself out to be. Harry also knew that Ron Weasley, his so-called best friend, wasn’t a real friend either. He wasn’t sure why Ron acted like a friend one minute then had a go at Harry the next minute and for no reason.

Only a week after Harry Potter found out that it was Sirius who bought the Firebolt, he found it missing. When he began asking if anyone saw it, Hermione said Ron borrowed it to go for a fly. Harry was furious and it took him a while to calm down. Then he decided to wait and see if it happened again. Harry found out that Ron had been borrowing the map and his dad’s invisibility cloak. Everyone that knew of the cloak knew that it was the only thing he owned of his parent’s, yet Ron felt he could just take it whenever he wanted. He now kept the cloak and map on him so Ron couldn’t take them.

It was during the last year that Harry realised that he only stayed friends with Ron because he was Harry’s first ever friend. Now though, Harry had a lot more friends, even with how Ron tried to make sure no one got close to Harry. First there was Hermione, so even though Hermione annoyed him, a lot, she was still a friend. Neville had also turned out to be a good friend to Harry, but Harry could spend time with Neville without all the questions he got from Hermione.

But what surprised him was there were students from other houses that had begun to speak with Harry. Susan Bones and Hannah Abbott often spoke with Harry, they were both in Hufflepuff. Luna Lovegood always said hello to Harry, she was in Ravenclaw. Even a few Slytherin’s would speak to Harry and they were friendly. Harry realised all these other kids were real friend, not like Ron.

Three times over the next week Harry found his Firebolt missing and Ron flying around the quidditch field. It was time to do something since anything Harry said to Ron that he can’t touch it, Ron didn’t listen or didn’t care. Harry was sick and tired of how he was treated by everyone. It was time to change tactics. If he wanted to get anywhere in life and not be used and hurt, then he had to return to his old beliefs, that some didn’t deserve the life they had. Harry knew that seemed hard and cold, but if he didn’t take matters into his own hand, he might not live to reach adulthood, or he would always have people taking advantage of him.

Harry used his cloak which he had taken to keeping on him so Ron couldn’t take it. He took one of the old school brooms from the shed, busted it into pieces then made sure the pieces were scattered around the quidditch stands and the pitch. When he noticed Ron walk past with the Firebolt, Harry followed. He knew he had to be quick. As soon as Ron got around seventy feet high, Harry used the inbuilt charm that quality quidditch supplies told him about. Owners could instantly summon their broom’s back if they did not give permission for the person to borrow it. There had been a few instances when an apposing team summoned brooms from their opposition. It’s against the law now, but the broom makers decided it would be best to charm the broom, it only worked on owners now for their own brooms. The person riding it would not be summoned, the broom would just disappear from under them. Anyone that read up on the Firebolt would know it had inbuilt safety features linked to the owner.

When the Firebolt was back in Harry’s hand, he looked over to where Ron was lying on the pitch, not moving and Harry knew he if he wasn’t seriously injured then he would be dead. It would be a miracle he could survive a fall from that height but miracles do happen. The broken school broom would make everyone believe Ron was flying one of those. And everyone knew they were old and dangerous.

Harry knew he probably just killed someone, but he didn’t feel guilty. Ron would keep walking all over him but he was also making it hard for Harry to learn what he needed if he was going to pass his tests, but also to survive in the world of magic. Harry learned long ago that he would need to do anything to survive, he had for years at the Dursley’s, now he needed to do it again at Hogwarts. He had no one to help him as he got older, so he had to rely on himself.

Harry stepped into the Gryffindor common room with his broom, ‘I thought Ron borrowed that again,’ Hermione said.

‘He stole it without asking me, so I used the inbuilt summoning charm. Ron must have realised when it disappeared from his hand, but he headed towards the quidditch pitch anyway. Probably took one of the Slytherin’s or even someone else’s broom. But I’m activating another charm that the company place on the Firebolts. It will refuse to fly for anyone that is not the registered and magical owner.’

‘But he’s just having a fly Harry, it’s not hurting anyone.’

‘Oh, so if I went into your trunk and took your diary then that would be okay. Good to know Hermione, I’ll get Angelina to get it for me.’

‘Harry, no, that’s personal.’

‘So is my broom, it means a lot to me as it’s the only gift I got from…him. I have no family, he’s all I have so this means more to me than anything, including my ex-friend. If you want to stay friends with Ron then it seems we’ll be no longer friends.’

‘Harry, don’t be like that. The three of us can get past this.’

‘No, we can’t. He’s a thief and a liar and not someone I want to have as a friend. So, what’s it to be, friends with me or stay friends with Ron who is a thief and a liar? You can’t have both, so I want an answer now.’

‘I won’t just desert Ron Harry, not when he hasn’t done anything wrong.’

‘He’s a liar, a cheat, a thief and a bully. But you can stay away from me…Granger, I want nothing to do with you ever again,’ Harry snarled, even Snape would be envious of the look Harry gave Hermione. He turned and hurried up the stairs to his dorm room. He locked his broom in the wardrobe then pulled out his homework.

Harry found he was able to work easier without Hermione’s nagging or Ron always telling Harry to do it another day. Harry had began to tell Ron and Hermione he was tired and go to bed early, but really, he was doing his homework. Over the last couple of months since he began doing his work behind his curtains, his marks had already improved. He didn’t just get good marks in defence, now he got good marks in charms and transfiguration. When he found out what divination was like, he switched the ancient runes and he was keeping up with the rest of the class. Ron had talked him into taking divination, he said it was an easy class. But having Trelawney predict his death during every class, Harry said enough and went to McGonagall. Now he was glad, he really liked ancient runes and it was turning into his favourite class. Normally he sat with Hermione, but from tomorrow he would sit with one of the Slytherin girls who took ancient runes and who would talk to him.

Just before dinner, Harry packed up his books, quill and ink, stuck everything in his trunk then made sure it was locked before leaving the room. When he got to the common room, it was full.

‘Is something going on for every Gryffindor to still be in here when it’s nearly dinner time?’ Harry asked but not anyone in particular, just the room in general.

‘McGonagall told us to remain that she needed to speak with us,’ Neville said.

Harry looked around, ‘Okay, but Fred, George, Ginny, Percy and the thief aren’t here.’

‘We think it involves one of the Weasley’s, we’re just not sure if it’s one of them or something about their parent’s,’ Lee said.

‘I hope nothing serious has happened,’ Hermione said.

Harry ignored her and sat beside Neville. They started talking, mainly about what they might hear. Harry knew exactly what was going on but no one would ever know that he caused Ron’s death.

The common room fell silent as McGonagall and Dumbledore stepped into the room.

‘We bring sad news,’ Albus said solemnly but he gazed at Harry, ‘Earlier today, Ronald Weasley was killed when the broom he was flying fell apart. He plummeted to his death.’

‘See, that would have happened if you just let him use your Firebolt,’ Hermione screamed.

‘He stole it so I summoned it back. It’s not my fault the school brooms are deadly. I mean Neville already fell, it’s lucky he’s robes got caught. But I got sick of Ron taking my things without asking. It was my right to summon my broom off him when he took it without asking,’ Harry glared at Hermione before he stared towards the fireplace, ‘Don’t blame me for the way the idiot died.’

‘That is uncalled for Mr Potter, all your comments are uncalled for,’ Minerva said sternly.

Harry shrugged, ‘He was your friend,’ Albus said kindly.

‘Was being the operative word. I hate thieves as much as I hate liars.’

‘Show the headmaster the respect he deserves Mr Potter,’ Minerva said glaring at Harry.

‘Right, well, I don’t respect or trust him or any adult in this blasted castle so I showed exactly how I felt,’ Harry got up and headed upstairs leaving shocked silence behind.

‘I’m with Harry,’ Neville whispered then hurried up the stairs to the dorm room.

Albus was shocked, he could not believe how Harry Potter spoke, nor the fact Harry doesn’t trust him. If Harry doesn’t trust him then he would never listen to him about Voldemort. Albus had a feeling this had to do with Sirius. Maybe it was time to speak with Madam Amelia Bones about having a trial for Sirius Black. If Albus worked it for Sirius to clear his name then Harry would have his godfather. The trouble with that is, Harry would want to live with Sirius and Sirius would want Harry to live with him. If he could guarantee Sirius had a place that was warded that could at least give Harry some protection, then Harry could live with his godfather.

Neville wasn’t surprised that Harry finally had enough of Ron, most of the Gryffindor’s didn’t like Ron, even Fred and George didn’t like their brother. Neville was sad that Ron died, but he felt sad for the family, Harry would be the same since he was friendly with all of the Weasley’s.

Neville had been surprised with how Harry had spoke to McGonagall and Dumbledore. But he knew why Harry was upset with the headmaster and the other teachers. Harry had explained to Neville about his godfather. But that wasn’t the only reason. Snape was the big reason Harry will never trust any teacher inside Hogwarts. Neville couldn’t blame him, Snape was an adult who bullied all students not in Slytherin. Neville and Harry were the two who got most of his malice and vicious remarks.

Since the beginning of the year Harry and Neville would sneak off into an unused classroom and make their potions. They knew there was no use trying in class with the way Snape acted, so they didn’t bother. They didn’t even care about points since Snape made a mockery of the point system. It was Fred and George who first told them that none of the Gryffindor’s bothered earning points since it wasn’t worth it when Snape would just take them for breathing too loudly. The only ones that did earn points was Percy and Hermione. They also said that Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw don’t care about the house points either. Ravenclaw may get treated better than the others but they still lost a lot of points to Snape. Neville’s gran had decided to teach her grandson potions during the holidays. She said that it would be the examiners that tested him in potions for his O.W.L.s, not Snape, so all he had to do was practice at home. That’s what gave Neville the idea to go into an old classroom with Harry. Now they could make all their potions, without one accident or mistake.

After Albus had spoke with Amelia Bones about Sirius, he began to question the portraits. Albus used the portraits to listen in on students. It would give him information if there was going to be trouble or if any student was having a hard time. The people in the portraits would visit other portraits to let them know the headmaster needed to speak with them.

One by one Albus asked what any of them heard from Harry Potter. Most said he had been angry with Ron for taking things. They also said he had been spending a lot of time with the Longbottom boy instead of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. One portrait did mention that Harry was pissed off because of his godfather and forced to live with muggles. This is what Albus was hoping, now if Amelia could get Sirius a trial then Harry would trust the headmaster.

Albus decided he would keep questioning the portraits occasionally, just to get an idea of Harry was changing his mind about the him.

Harry sat with Neville in every class they shared. In ancient runes he sat with Daphne Greengrass and Tracy Davis. They might be Slytherin’s, but those two girls were friendly towards Harry. They did tell him that they never approached him before because of Weasley and Granger. They had nothing against muggleborns but they did not like the way Hermione acted. Ron’s manners and they way he called all Slytherin’s evil instantly made all Slytherin’s despise him. Yes, many of the snakes like Draco Malfoy caused most of the problems with other students, but not all of them were blood purist and wanted to follow the dark arts. Many in Slytherin who were like Daphne and Tracy, came from neutral families. When Harry told them he felt the same that he wasn’t dark but he would do more than what the light side would do when it came to protecting himself or his true friends. The two girls realised that Harry Potter, the-boy-who-lived was more like them than they realised.

When Sirius Black was finally cleared of all charges, Albus hoped Harry would see he had been trying to help. He had spoke with Sirius about having the place warded so Harry would be safe. Sirius said he would but they were not going to stay secluded inside the house. He wanted to show Harry the world, starting with their own country. Albus knew this was reasonable, even if he was worried that someone may try to kill Harry Potter.

At the end of the year Albus spoke with the portraits again, this time he ended up shocked. Harry and Neville had both called Albus Dumbledore a dark lord that had his own pet death eater who liked to terrorise students. The portraits told Albus that Harry said Dumbledore was just like Voldemort who liked to torture children. He might not do the actually torturing but he allowed Harry, Neville and other students to be abused by his pet death eater, Snape. Harry had been mistreated by the Dursley’s and Snivellius, Neville by Snivellius and they had heard other students say Dumbledore must be dark since he allows Snape to mistreat and abuse children and allow children of dark families to get off. To them it was proof that Dumbledore supported the dark. Albus couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He knew Snape was hard on all the students, but by the sound of what he was hearing, Snape was more than hard. He would need to do something before he lost Harry Potter for good.

Harry had spoken to Dobby about working for him instead of Hogwarts. Even before Sirius was cleared, Harry figured Dobby could make sure Harry ate, but also use magic on the Dursley’s. Harry wouldn’t care if the three Dursley’s died, but he knew he, Harry would be the one everyone would suspect if they died. So, Dobby decided he would like to be owned by Harry. Harry agreed but made a deal, he would still give Dobby money to buy his own clothes that way he could still wear all the weird and brightly coloured outfits he wanted. Dobby agree, so they bonded.

Harry made sure that Dobby would pop in to Gryffindor common room to bring Harry and Neville hot chocolate or snacks. Harry wanted to annoy Hermione. Since she had told Harry she would stay friends with Ron, then Ron died, she no longer had anyone to talk to. There was not one student at Hogwarts that liked Hermione Granger. Harry would have remained friends with her but she chose Ron, so now she was finding out just how alone she was.

When she tried to have a go at Harry for owning a house elf, Harry cast a silencing charm around him and Neville then he shot her a smirk before sitting back to enjoy their snacks.

Even though it was the end of the year, the Gryffindor quidditch team wanted to keep training until the last minute. When quidditch training finished he made his way to the showers, along with the rest of the team. One by one they left, Harry was the last. He liked to take long showers since he never could at the Dursley’s.

‘Hey Harry.’

‘Yeah Neville, I’m still in the shower, be right out.’

Neville moved closer to the shower but kept his back to the stall, ‘I overheard Ginny and Hermione talking. Ginny might be upset about her brother, but she’s more upset because without Ron, it means you won’t be staying at the Burrow anymore. She really has a thing for you and hoped within the next year you would finally notice her.’

‘Never going to happen, she’s a fan girl and I hate fan girls. Anyway, there’s a girl I do like who likes me and not for the-boy-who-lives.’

‘So, are you together?’

‘No, we haven’t said anything, just a bit of flirting in class. I don’t want her to be victimised if anyone found out we were friends, let alone more.’

‘So that would mean she’s not in Gryffindor.’

Harry stepped out of the shower then grabbed a towel, ‘Slytherin.’

‘Oh shit, Malfoy, even Snape would cause trouble for her. Daphne, right.’

Harry nodded, ‘Yeah, her family were never involved with Voldemort, they stayed neutral mainly because they don’t believe in all that pure blood shit. But they don’t like Dumbledork, I can’t blame them.’

‘I knew the Greengrass family stayed out of the war. You know, you could just sneak around and keep it a secret.’

‘With how many portraits, ghosts and house elves in this place, there is no way anything is kept secret at Hogwarts.’

‘Use the shack.’

Harry pulled on his jeans then turned to Neville, ‘Who owns the shrieking shack?’

‘No idea, but it’s not Hogwarts or it would be inside the wards.’

‘I wonder if I could buy it, then I could get the goblins to ward it for me. Goblin wards would stop everyone then Daph and I could use it.’

‘I’ll write to gran, she might know.’

‘If she does then all I have to do is get the goblins to approach the owner and see if they want to sell. Anyway, let’s get in, I’m starving.’

Albus was having a heated discussion with Severus. His potions teacher kept saying the students were lying and he mainly blamed Harry Potter. Albus had to know how Severus treated not only Harry, but all students. He was able to take care of one problem in the hope Harry would end up trusting him, now he had another. Albus hoped if he fixed this one that another problem wouldn’t crop up. He would have to wait and see.

Sirius and Remus were waiting on platform nine and three quarters for Harry to arrive.

‘Mr. Black, I’m Molly Weasley.’

‘It’s nice to meet you Mrs Weasley. My condolences for the loss of your son.’

‘Thank you. We would like to invite Harry to stay for part of the summer.’

‘I’m sorry, but I’m planning on taking Harry on a world trip. We won’t be returning to England until it’s time for school to start again. But Harry did say he would be spending a few days with his best friend, Neville, before we go away. I will tell Harry about the invitation even though he won’t be able to make it.’

‘Very well,’ Molly turned and moved further down the platform. She was angry about Ron’s accident, especially when the accident could have been prevented if only the governors would have given Hogwarts more money to buy new brooms. She was also angry that Harry would not get to spend time with Ginny. Her daughter had told her how she feels about Harry and hoped that if they got to spend more time together that Harry would end up with feelings for Ginny. Now that will not happen since Harry would be living with his godfather, Sirius Black. When they were at Hogwarts, Ginny wasn’t in the same year as Harry so again, they could not spend time together there.

Harry and Neville left the compartment, but they saw Daphne and Tracy near the exit door. Harry gave Daphne his cheeky lopsided smile which made her blush but she did smile back. Tracy and Neville grinned before they left the train.

Harry noticed Ron’s mum and figured he should say something to her, even if he didn’t really like the woman. He said he was sorry about Ron, then she asked about visiting. Harry told her what Sirius did, he was going away overseas for the entire holiday.

Harry and Neville said goodbye then Harry left with Sirius and Remus. They arrived outside a beautiful large two story country home. They showed Harry around the house before showing him his room.

‘This is great Sirius,’ Harry grinned as he stared around at the large bedroom, one that had a door that lead to its own bathroom.

‘You like it?’

‘It’s brilliant,’ Harry turned to face Sirius, ‘She asked, I knew she would.’

‘Yep, she asked me first, but she still spoke to you about it. I could see her daughter staring at you so we know why.’

‘I’m hoping next year a certain girl will agree to go out with me.’

‘Do I get to know who this girl is?’

‘She’s a Slytherin but they aren’t supporters of Voldemort. They stayed neutral during the war since they didn’t like the leaders from either side.’

‘There were many that didn’t want to follow Albus but they weren’t crazy or dark enough to join Voldemort. So, what’s her name?’

‘Daphne Greengrass.’

‘They’re good people, met them a few times. Gwendolyn was beautiful.’

‘So is Daphne. She gets to hex a lot of boys who think they have the right to touch her. She shrunk one boy’s cock when he wouldn’t leave her alone.’

‘I would say her mother taught her a few ways to protect herself. Anyway, a couple of days then we’re heading overseas.’

‘And you won’t tell me where we’re going?’

‘Nope, it’s a surprise.’

‘Fine, I’ll wait and see.’

‘Get cleaned up and meet us down in the dining room.’

‘Okay,’ Harry grinned then went straight into his private bathroom. He couldn’t believe how great his life was, finally. He never had to see the Dursley’s again. And now he had two months to spend with his godfather.

Harry had the best time with Sirius and Remus. The first place they went to was America where they spent two weeks apparating to all the different theme parks. Sirius and Remus spent two days teaching Harry to apparate, now he didn’t have to be taken by side-along apparition, he could do it himself. Every day they would get back to their hotel, exhausted but extremely happy. They decided on the theme parks first when they found out that Harry had never been to one.

After the theme parks they went to many different places in America, just seeing the sights, some muggle, some magical. They found out that America, like many other countries, didn’t have restrictions on underage magic, not like Britain. They just said to make sure they didn’t use magic in front of muggles. They found out that America was different in many ways, ways that Harry felt were a lot better than the English magical world.

After America, they went from country to country, some they stayed longer than others, but every place was interesting. Harry enjoyed seeing the sights and again they visited muggle and magical sights.

The last places they visited was New Zealand and Australia. Harry, Sirius and Remus enjoyed the beautiful beaches in Australia. They even found a few beaches that were warded so muggles could not see them. It allowed many witches and wizards to use things like bubblehead charms or gillyweed so they could explore the underwater world. Even though it was uncomfortable at first, Harry preferred gillyweed. Since he had only just began to learn how to swim, using gillyweed gave him gills and webbed hands and feet. He spent the entire hour swimming around the great barrier reef.

Australia and New Zealand’s magical communities were a lot like America, they didn’t have underage magic laws. But Harry also found out how their schools were run. He spoke with Sirius about it and asked if there was any chance that he could transfer to either America or Australia. Sirius said he would find out but wanted Harry to seriously think about this as it would mean a big change, not just in Harry’s life but also in Sirius and Remus’s lives.

Harry said he would think about it, but he asked Sirius for a promise. If anything dangerous or even looked like it might be dangerous would happen again at Hogwarts that he would get Harry out of Hogwarts and transfer him to another school. Sirius gave the promise since he knew what had been happening at Hogwarts and especially to Harry. Harry did say he would speak with Neville, maybe his friend might want to change schools as well. The only thing Harry didn’t like was he would not get to spend time with Daphne. He had really begun to like her, now he might end up leaving. He wouldn’t know for a while, so all he could do is think about her and the other schools.

The last two weeks before the students returned to Hogwarts, Harry would visit Neville. That gave Sirius and Remus time to do what they wanted as well.

‘It might be something to think about Harry. I mean so far, we have three classes that aren’t worth the time. It would have been four if you hadn’t told me you were changing from divination to ancient runes.’ Neville said.

‘We only got to see a bit of these other schools and the magical community, but it was a hundred times better than Hogwarts and how the ministry is here. It’s just something I’m seriously thinking about. I get that you might not be able to, but I’m not going to stay if there is another dangerous thing going on at Hogwarts. I wrote to Daphne and explained. She said her parent’s had considered sending her to Beauxbatons because of how Snape allows boys like Malfoy to get away with anything,’ Harry looked around to make sure Neville’s gran wasn’t near, ‘She said some girls had been raped, yet the boys who did it never got into any trouble. It’s why her mother taught her some seriously dangerous spells. It was just so she would be protected. Astoria also knows the spells, but Daphne taught Tracy. It’s like Snape doesn’t give a shit about any of the girls, just the boys.’

‘We’re about to start our fourth year, many kids our age start dating. It could mean those boys will try harder. Why does someone like Dumbledore allow Snape to get away with all that? I wonder if he knows about what’s gone on in Slytherin house.’

‘No idea about that. But for some reason he wants Snape and let’s the bastard treat us like shit. I want to spread the word that Hogwarts is not the best magical school in the world, not like it used to be. It began to drop in standing around ten years ago.’

‘Around the time Snape would have started. But also Binns. How do they expect us to learn any history with Binns droning on?’

‘Then you get Trelawney who keeps telling students they are going to die. I knew she was a fraud the moment I saw her, so I didn’t take her seriously. But it’s why I transferred to ancient runes. I wonder about other kids, ones that are really sensitive.’

‘Like I used to be. If she did that to me a year ago, I would have ended up a nervous wreck.’

‘Yeah and we know there are some shy or uncertain kids at Hogwarts. Would your gran seriously consider allowing you to transfer if she thought you could end up in danger at Hogwarts?’

‘Yes. I know gran is a hard woman and not very affectionate, but she does love me and doesn’t want anything to happen to me. I told her a few things that you were involved in and she wasn’t happy. She was glad I wasn’t involved. If I was, I think she would take me straight out of Hogwarts. I mean it’s not like I’d have a problem seeing gran on the holidays. I could just get an international portkey.’

‘Like the people that went to the quidditch world cup from other countries. That’s the only reason Sirius brought us back early, so we could see the world cup. He’s worried about those death eaters that made an appearance.’

‘Do you think this might be the first major sign that…he will be returning?’

‘Sirius seems to think so. And after I saw his face on Quirrell’s head, I would say he’s been working on a way to return. Again, the defence class is not helping students learn to defend themselves. If anyone had to fight, only charms and transfiguration would be of any use. I spoke with Remus during the holidays and asked why he didn’t teach us fighting spells, even ones for our age. He said Dumbledore wanted us to learn about dark creatures before we learn about dark spells and how to fight them. Remus explained it like we’re not to learn any of that until our fifth year. If anything is happening then that’s too late. But really, we could start off with some basics from second year. We don’t need to wait until fifth. I don’t know Neville. I have this feeling things are going to get worse.’

‘I hope your wrong mate.’

‘So do I,’ Harry sighed. He decided he wanted to forget all the serious stuff, so he talked Neville into flying with him. He took days but Harry was able to get Neville up on a broom. He never flew high or too fast, but Harry understood. Neville was scared when his broom took off on him during their flying lessons and he got hurt. Now at least Neville knew how to fly and he got to see how much fun it is without putting himself in danger.

When it was getting close to dinner time, Neville’s house elf called the boys in for dinner. Harry found Sirius and Remus talking to Neville’s gran and it seems Harry, Sirius and Remus were staying for dinner.

‘Before we eat, Sirius has found out some information that could mean some changes,’ Augusta said.

Harry instantly got nervous, ‘Is something dangerous going on?’

‘Yes and I can’t believe Albus or the rest of the staff agreed to this,’ Sirius ran his fingers through his hair, ‘The department of international cooperation and the department of magical games and sports have decided to restart the triwizard tournament and it’s being held at Hogwarts.’

‘What’s the triwizard tournament?’ Neville asked.

‘A dangerous contest between the three largest European schools. Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. It was cancelled a long time ago due to the rising death toll.’

Harry groaned as he slumped, ‘I knew it, I just felt something was coming.’

‘We’ve been talking for the last couple of hours Harry. Both of you are transferring to the Salem Academy of Magic. I sent a letter to Gwendolyn and Mathew and explained about the tournament. I asked them to meet us so we can discuss this. They should know what Durmstrang is like and how some of the boys at that school treat woman, or girls. Durmstrang has a nasty reputation. They teach the dark arts and use the dark arts. They treat woman as their property and usually get away with crimes against girls. They hate muggleborns and it would be easy for one of them to assault or rape a muggleborn and they would get away with it. The headmaster is a former death eater who got out of Azkaban because he named names. This is not just about the tournament, but about Durmstrang. Those students are dangerous, not just to the girls, but to all the students who will interact with them.’

‘Do you think Daphne and Astoria will leave Hogwarts?’

‘They will be. We didn’t even need to meet. They knew what Durmstrang was like. Right now, Gwendolyn and Mathew are working on which school to send the girls too. They kept thinking of Beauxbatons, but they know having friends with them will help them settle in first. They plan to let us know, but I have a feeling the girls will end up going to Salem,’ Sirius said.

‘We are not informing Professor Dumbledore until you two are enrolled,’ Augusta said.

‘If he knew before hand, he would stop us, somehow. Is there any way Dumbledore or the ministry could force us back?’ Harry asked.

‘No, it is the parent or guardians right to choose which school the children go to. There are many from this country that go to other schools. Some of the real dark families send their children to Durmstrang. I know Lucius Malfoy and his lot want their children at Hogwarts because they are hoping to get rid of Albus,’ Augusta said.

‘Lily and James spoke about schools for you and the other children they planned to have. Like what we saw Harry, James and Lily thought America and Australia were two of the best schools around. They visited those schools while on their honeymoon. The main problem with Hogwarts is that no one here likes change and their stick to traditions even when those traditions just do not work anymore. I like some traditions, but some are causing the students of Hogwarts to be more divided and their education is lacking compared to other schools who are changing and advancing the education they give their students.’

‘The separate houses don’t work. I mean Ron brainwashed me into believing all Slytherin’s were evil and death eaters. After meeting Malfoy before I started Hogwarts, told me I wanted nothing to do with him. But Daphne, Astoria and Tracy are great girls and the three of them are Slytherin’s. Then we know that not all death eaters came from Slytherin. The rat was in Gryffindor. Then you have Snape who causes more hatred towards Slytherin and his causing a bigger rift. In muggle schools the students are sorted or separated by age and the year they are in. They don’t have houses. I know they work on separating the kids for sports events, but that doesn’t stop you being friends with others your age even if you compete against them.’

‘The houses don’t work anymore. It was different when the founders first started Hogwarts. Salazar Slytherin caused the first major problem which divided the students. It just got worse after he left.’ Remus explained.

They kept talking through dinner, but they worked everything out for Harry and Neville for when they transferred to another school.

Gwendolyn and Mathew Greengrass decided to send their daughters to Salem. They had spoke with the Davis’s who also decided to send their daughter to Salem. Tracy was classed as a half blood which could mean the Durmstrang boys would probably cause trouble for her. They didn’t want to take the chance with their daughter. Since Durmstrang were linked to the dark arts those students will probably sit with the Slytherin’s which would put most of the girls who aren’t pure bloods in danger. But they knew that even pure blood girls would be in danger.

Sirius had received the portkey for Harry from the principle of the Salem academy a few days before they were due to leave. He heard the that the Longbottom, Greengrass and Davis families also had their portkeys sent to them.

Sirius had helped Harry buy new clothes and multi compartment trunk so he would have everything with him until he came home for holidays. There would be times when Sirius, Remus, Augusta, the Davies and Greengrass’ would go to America to have a holiday and spend time with their children in that country. It would give them a break at the same time.

The large group arrived in a room with large windows. A woman, who was smiling introduced herself as the deputy principle, Sharon Price. She said the principle had been delayed but would be with them shortly. She asked her new students to fill out a few forms, mainly about their classes and what they would like to do when they finished their education. Also, on the forms was if they excelled in any skills, whether in class or in sports like quidditch.

While the students were filling out their forms, Sharon spoke with the parents, or guardian in Sirius’ case. The principle arrived, he introduced himself to everyone before he sat down to get ready to interview his new students. He knew who Harry Potter was, but his godfather, Sirius Black had explained how Harry hates attention or being called the-boy-who-lived. Sirius even said that Harry keeps telling everyone he was just Harry.

Taylor Cain, the principle, thought his new students were all very bright and brought many different skills to his school. He explained that the students were sorted by year and two students to a room. Harry would share with Neville, Daphne would share with Tracy, Astoria would share with a girl her age.

They were given a tour of the school before being shown to their rooms. Right after the tour, the parent’s or guardians said their goodbyes. Sirius had handed Harry a package and a letter for him to open that night after he got into bed. He wouldn’t explain more, just that it was a surprise.

They said their goodbyes and the group settled in before they were shown to the dining hall where the principle announced the new students. Harry and the others were glad that the principle didn’t ask them to stand or speak. It was already unnerving with hundred of kids staring at them. But it wasn’t as bad as it would have been if he had been alone. This time he had Neville, Daphne, Tracy and Astoria with him.

When Sirius, Remus, Gwendolyn, Mathew and Augusta returned, they all arrived inside Longbottom manor.

‘It’s time we let Albus know our children are no longer students of Hogwarts. We just don’t let them know which school they are now attending. It will get out eventually but by law they cannot touch the children or force them back,’ Augusta said.

‘I feel so relieved now the girls aren’t going to be subjected to those Durmstrang boys, but they also won’t have to put up with Snape anymore,’ Gwendolyn said.

‘I get you there. I’m glad Harry’s away from all the danger he seems to find himself in. And like you, I’m glad he’s away from Snape.’

‘Neville and Harry showed us their potion skills and both could go on to get their master’s in potions. It was thanks to Augusta who began to teach Neville, then Harry joined him using an unused classroom. So many had to change their careers because of Snape,’ Remus said.

‘Let’s get these letters sent. Dory,’ Augusta called. The little elf appeared, ‘Take these letters to Professor McGonagall.’

Sirius, Gwendolyn and Augusta handed over the letters to the elf, then the adults all went into another room. They wanted a drink and they wanted to talk some more.

Minerva McGonagall was shocked when she read the letters that Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Daphne and Astoria Greengrass and Tracy Davis had all transferred to another school. The wrote it was for many reasons, danger, prejudices, bad and cruel teachers. Another reason was Hogwarts was behind many other schools. That was one thing all of the letters said was the students were behind in their learning compared to other schools. Also, only the English ministry keep the children restricted from using magic outside of school. All other countries allowed the children to use magic from the time they get their wands, as long as they don’t use magic in front of muggles.

Minerva knew this would cause problems for Albus and the rest of the staff the moment everyone finds out that the-boy-who-lived is now going to school in another country. She knew Harry Potter’s main problem had been Snape, but she also knew he had found himself in danger quite a few times. It wasn’t normal danger a student would find themselves in due to it being a magical school. The danger Harry found himself in could have cost him his life.

```````small time skip```````
Sirius was sitting with Remus and Augusta, ‘So how long should we give it before I speak with Harry?’
‘When they announce the first task is over.’ Augusta said.
‘I hope your right Remus,’ Sirius said sounding anxious.
‘The goblet of fire would have picked up the magical signature of the person who put the parchment in the goblet, not what was written on it. It’s a safety measure so no one else can enter someone who doesn’t want to compete. It’s not in the rule book but I found the information in an old history book from when the tournament began. People fight, especially students, so it was worked out that if students hated each other then they could not force the other to compete. The magic around the goblet of fire hasn’t changed, only the rules which isn’t linked to the magic of the goblet. They just don’t tell the students that. I’m also sure some, if not all of the committee wouldn’t know about it unless they read the original book on the goblet of fire.’
‘So, we’ve got about an hour or so to keep listening,’ Sirius said. He had his mirror in his hand as he listened to the wizarding wireless network and the commentary of the first task of the triwizard tournament. One that had Harry’s name entered as a fourth champion.
When Harry’s name was called, even though everyone knew he wasn’t a student at Hogwarts anymore, the crowd went silent. They weren’t sure what was going to happen since it was supposed to be magical binding. Would that mean Harry would have his magic bound and if so, could it be reversed.
It was three hours after the last champion faced the dragon before Bagman and the committee announced the first task was complete. Albus Dumbledore believed Harry Potter was either a squib or dead.
‘Call him and just hope he’s in his room,’ Remus said.
Sirius nodded, ‘Harry Potter.’
It took a few minutes before Harry’s smiling face appeared, ‘Hey Padfoot. I wasn’t expecting you to call today.’
‘I know but I needed to know something. Can you do me a favour and cast a spell, any spell?’
‘Sure, but why?’
‘I’ll explain in a moment, just cast something.’
Harry nodded but he grinned at Sirius in the mirror before he produced Prongs. Harry held the mirror so his godfather could see his patronus. What he didn’t expect was a shout of jubilation.
‘What is going on Sirius?’
‘We didn’t want you to worry and we weren’t going to let them pull you back. But someone entered your name into the triwizard tournament. The first task was today, it was officially ended a few minutes ago.’
‘Okay, I still don’t get why you sounded so happy when I cast Prongs.’
Remus’s face appeared in the mirror, ‘There is a binding contract to the tournament Harry. If one of the champions pulls out, he or she would have his magic bound, which would render him a squib. There is also a chance the person could die. They can only pull out if they’re injured and too severely injured to keep competing. But I found some information from when the tournament was first invented and the goblet of fire was first enchanted. The person who placed the parchment in the goblet of fire would be the one bound to compete, so they would lose their magic or die. It’s bound to the person’s magical signature, not the name. You weren’t there so you didn’t enter so I knew you would be safe, or your magic would be. It’s not in the rule book so I believe that most have just forgotten about how it all was worked out when the goblet of fire was first enchanted.’
Sirius appeared, ‘Even though I believed Remus, I was so nervous that Albus or someone else did something to force you back that you could have had your magic bound. We’ve been receiving many letters from Albus, he was trying to force me to bring you back since you were entered. We never answered him and sent the owls back with the letters. We wanted them to believe the owls couldn’t find us. But we didn’t tell you as we didn’t want to worry you.’
‘I get that Sirius and I’m glad you didn’t tell me. I would have panicked and probably want to go there so I wouldn’t lose my magic. So, do you know what happened now the first task is over?’
‘Augusta will be visiting a few friends who were at Hogwarts watching the task. She’ll let us know.’
‘Can you contact me again right after Madam Longbottom finds out?’
‘Of course I will pup. It’s all good though, so you don’t have to worry.’
‘It’s not that. You said after the death eaters appeared at the quidditch world cup that it’s the first sign that Voldemort could be returning. What if this situation in linked in some way? I think Dumbledore did it to get me back, but it could be linked to Voldemort, so I would like to know, just in case,’ Harry sighed.
‘I get it Harry and I don’t blame you. What I might do is take a trip to Hogwarts and use the map. Maybe Peter entered you to get you killed. If he’s at Hogwarts even using his rat form the map would show up.’
‘That’s why I left it with you Sirius. I have no use for it now, where you might have use for it.’
‘Yeah and I will use it. Alright, I’ll call you back at this time tomorrow, so be in your dorm room.’
‘I will, thanks,’ Harry put his mirror in his bedside then saw Neville standing there, ‘Someone entered me in the triwizard tournament. The first task was today. They waited until it was officially over then called me to ask me to do magic.’
‘Why?’
‘The binding contract. If a champion changes their mind about competing, their magic is bound. They basically become a squib but there’s a chance the person could die. Remus found out that the goblet of fire which chooses the champions senses the person’s magical signature who places the parchment in the goblet, not the name on the piece of parchment. He said it was in an old book about the tournament, but it’s not in the new rule book. He believed it was just forgotten. Even though it was a risk, I’m glad they didn’t tell me.’
‘I don’t blame you. But you were right, you would have ended up in danger again. Sirius did find out the first task was facing a dragon.’
‘Yeah, it would have eaten me. I have no idea what spells would work against a dragon. Anyway, your gran is going to speak with some friends who were at the tournament today. She will find out if anything strange happened when the first task was officially over.’
‘Gran will find out. How about we forget about it until tomorrow.’
Harry nodded. Even though he was safe and still had his magic, he couldn’t help thinking this had something to do with Voldemort.
Harry hardly slept that night. He ended up doing all his homework while it was quiet. He spoke to the principle about what had happened and Mr Cain saw how tired Harry was so he gave him permission to skip classes that day, he would just need to catch up using his spare time.
Harry and Neville were sitting quietly waiting for Sirius to contact them. Harry had tried to call Sirius but he never picked up his mirror, neither did Remus, which meant both men weren’t at the house.
It was thirty minutes past the time Sirius said he would call when he finally did call.
‘What happened?’ Harry asked anxiously.
‘What, no hello, no how you going? You need to work on your manners pup.’
‘Stuff it, Sirius, just tell me what happened. I haven’t slept since I spoke to you yesterday.’
‘Sorry pup. I should have realised this would make you anxious. Okay, Mad-eye Moody, who was teaching defence against the dark arts, collapsed when the first task was officially finished. He was taken to the hospital and discovered to be a squib. About twenty minutes later, he changed. It wasn’t Moody, but a death eater who we all believed died in Azkaban. He was using polyjuice potion. It was Barty Crouch junior.’
‘That bastard,’ Neville yelled.
‘Neville,’ Augusta scolded.
‘Sorry gran,’ Neville said as he tried to calm down but he handed the mirror back to Harry.
‘So, this death eater entered me. Why?’
‘Amelia Bones questioned him since she was at Hogwarts to watch the first task. He was there for Voldemort, who wanted you for a ritual which would restore him. He was going to use your blood, blood of the enemy, he would get your mother’s protection. Harry, Amelia took two full squads of aurors and found Voldemort, along with Peter.’
Harry sagged, ‘Did they take care of them?’
‘Peter was given to a dementor straight away. He was too high a risk of escaping. Just when they planned to do the same with Voldemort, Dumbledore spoke with Amelia. I can’t find out what is going on but Voldemort is now with the unspeakables but he had been given the draught of living death.’
‘Why not just kill him? What is the old man up to?’
‘We don’t know, but I’m going to find out. As your guardian I can legally get any information that involves you. If Amelia knows she will tell me. It just might take me a bit Harry. Everyone at the ministry is scared and worried. Crouch named names, so did Peter. People like Lucius Malfoy was arrested. I will get back to you the moment I find out, I promise. But no matter what, you will not be returning here until you are an adult. If for any reason this information is about you, then you may never return to England.’
‘No, I won’t risk it. The old man is up to something, we just don’t know what, but I don’t trust him. Okay, this is a good time to contact me as I’m usually here getting ready for bed.’
‘Alright, but don’t just sit there with the mirror in your hand. It could take me weeks to find out. Just live your life Harry, forget about all this until I can get the information. But I don’t want you to be alone, just in case. You know how to stay safe, you listen to everything and watch everyone.’
‘Okay, I will. As for living my live, I’ll try. I’m sure Neville and the girls will keep me distracted.’
Time skip
Harry Potter, who was now married to Daphne and Neville who was married to Tracy had packed ready for their trip back to England. None of them had been there since they left, but they were constantly told what was going on. It took more than a year, but Albus Dumbledore eventually explained how Voldemort was able to survive. They knew that even after all these years the unspeakables still had Voldemort until they could work out how to destroy his items that has kept him tethered to the living world. There had been many attempts to rescue Voldemort by death eaters, all had been caught and sent through the veil with only a few being sent to Azkaban. The ones who had pleaded imperius curse after Voldemort first disappeared went through the veil once it was proven they lied. Apart from being guilty of many crimes that they got out of any punishment after Voldemort disappeared. They have been committing crimes ever since. Their punishment was death by the veil.
‘I know you’re nervous sweetheart, I don’t blame you,’ Daphne said as she slipped her arms around her husband.
‘Yes, nervous, but I do want to see everyone and I can finally visit my parent’s graves.’
‘I’m sure if they are watching they would understand why you haven’t visited their graves. Augusta, Sirius, Remus and my parent’s has been keeping us informed and the unspeakables believe they are close to being able to send Voldemort through the veil.’
‘I know love, it’s just knowing his still alive that has me worried. The soul piece behind my scar is gone, so are most of the others, they just haven’t found the last one. Maybe we should wait until that has been found.’
‘We talked about this Harry. If anything looks suspicious then we portkey right back home. Both of us have a portkey so even if one of us has to disappear quickly, the other will know and do the same. No one can force us to stay there. This is our home now as we are now American citizens. We’ve spoken with the ministry so they know what to do if my parent’s, Sirius or the others contact them about us. The English ministry would be overrun by our aurors that they wouldn’t know what to do. I doubt they would want to start a war. And remember, the unspeakables along with Madam Bones were informed that the unspeakables here were able to remove that bit of soul from behind your scar. Which means no one has any reason for trying to detain you.’
‘I know, I know,’ Harry sighed, ‘So even though we’re both independent people, I’ll stick with you. You’re my wife, I don’t want to take the chance that anything could happen to you because they want me. I know you’re right, nothing will probably happen, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.’
Harry and Daphne used the portkey that would take them to his old home he shared with Sirius. Neville and Tracy were going straight to Longbottom manor. They planned to meet up the following day.
‘Settle in then just relax,’ Sirius said giving Harry, then Daphne a hug.
‘Okay, but tell me first, any news?’
‘No, but we did tell Amelia about the diary, she spoke with Albus and she questioned Narcissa Malfoy. They believe like I do that if he gave Lucius one of his items then he probably gave one to another. Amelia plans to use veritaserum and legilimense to find the answer. Go settle in then we’ll talk.’
‘Come on love,’ Daphne took Harry’s hand and pulled him up the stairs.
‘We’ll tell him about the prophecy after he relaxes a bit. But I think we can have a drink before we do,’ Remus said.
‘Good idea. I’m just not sure he will want to do it, not after everything.’
‘He’s still worried that Voldemort will escape. If he was told that would all be over if he sends Voldemort through the veil, I’m sure he would do it.’
‘I know you’re right and if Harry thinks about it, he will realise this is what he needs and the world needs. He won’t care about anyone apart from us, but he would also want closure.’
Harry and Daphne joined Sirius and Remus only a few minutes later. They all had a drink before they sat down.
‘Now I could tell there was something you were holding back, so how about you just tell me,’ Harry kept his eyes on the two men as he took a drink.
‘They found and destroyed the last one, it was in the Lestrange vault.’
‘Then why haven’t they destroy him yet?’
‘Because Albus Dumbledore didn’t bother telling anyone until recently about a prophecy made about Voldemort…and you.’
‘I knew, I should have stayed away,’ Harry growled.
‘Listen first Harry, then you get to decide. But no one is going to force you to do anything,’ Sirius said kindly.
‘Do what?’
‘In the prophecy, it says either has to die by the hand of the other. Everyone is worried that even though the soul vessels are gone, if they send him through the veil he might not be truly gone since it would need to be you.’
‘So, you’re saying that Harry has to be one to push him through the death veil?’ Daphne asked but her eyes were on her husband.
‘Yes. We’ve all thought of just doing it and wait and see, but again we’re worried that those souls that were destroyed might join with him. If he could somehow return, then he could begin to split his soul again. If he did, we may never find them,’ Remus said.
‘I’ll do it as long as the old man is not involved in any way, but I want Snape dead as well, so he goes first. One of the aurors can send him through the veil.’
‘Remus and I discussed this and we knew you would not want Albus involved. We also knew you would want something else done and it was to do with Snape. We can’t blame you, not after the way he treated you. When we found out about the prophecy, we also found out he was the one that told Voldemort the first part of it.’
‘He what?’ Harry growled.
‘Sorry pup, we only just found out and decided to tell you face to face.’
‘And the old man knew this?’ Harry’s eyes narrowed, ‘Then Snape dies first and we make sure he doesn’t use someone to take his place.’
‘I will speak with Amelia. They are only waiting until I tell them if you would do it or not. I’ll see her tomorrow, there’s no use worrying until we know what they will decide.’ Sirius said.
‘For now, let’s just enjoy our time together,’ Remus said.
The following morning, Sirius and Remus were going to speak with Amelia. Harry and Daphne were going to visit Godric’s Hollow. They were told about the monument, but only stopped for a minute. Harry couldn’t believe there was a statue of him and his parents. Daphne thought it was strange to see Harry, even as a baby, without his lightning shaped scar. They continued walking until they came to the house. Daphne wrapped her arms around her husband the moment she saw the devastation. Both of them realised that the most damage was upstairs, where Harry’s room was, where Harry was, as a baby. They realised just how lucky he was to survive. It might have been a miracle that Harry survived the killing curse, but he also survived when his bedroom roof and part of the wall were blasted away.
‘After the dementors were at Hogwarts, I had the memory of that night. Now staring at the house, I can picture exactly where my parents were. We’ve talked about having kids in a few years but seeing this, I can’t wrap my head around the fact that my parents had me when he was still around. Also, why did they stay in this country when they found out mum was pregnant?’
‘Have you ever asked Sirius about that.’
‘No, it wasn’t until we talked about waiting until he was gone before we had kids that I first thought about it.’
‘Then you can ask them later. They might not know the answer, but they might.’
‘I would like some of their things but I just can’t go in there.’
‘Then have Sirius and Remus do it for you. If it’s too hard for them, they could ask my parents. I’m sure mum and dad wouldn’t mind.’
Harry nodded. He realised Sirius and Remus would feel as he did so they probably wouldn’t want to go into the house where their friends, James and Lily, were murdered. He would speak with them first, then decide what to do.
They walked away from the house and towards the graveyard. Sirius had told them where to find their graves, so Harry and Daphne walked slowly through all the graves. As soon as they saw the white marble headstone, Daphne placed the wreath against it. Then, she introduced herself, as their daughter-in-law and the future mother of their grandchildren. Harry couldn’t help smiling at his wife, but he also thought of how his parents would take it hearing that in only a few years, they would be grandparents. From what Sirius and Remus had told him, his mother would be over the moon. His father on the other hand would think he was too young to be a grandfather.
Harry knelt down and began to talk to his parents, as if they could really hear them. Some people say that the dead watch over the living. Harry had no idea if that is true or not, but he didn’t care. He just spoke from the heart.
It was two days later that Voldemort would finally be sent through the veil. Harry was standing between Sirius, Daphne, Remus and ten American aurors. Harry asked for American aurors as he did not trust anyone at the English ministry. As soon as the unspeakable levitated Voldemort into the room, he nodded to Harry.
Harry glared at Snape before one of the Unspeakables levitated him through the veil. They had to silence Snape as he kept going on about this being murder and how Albus would help him. The American aurors had done every test they could to confirm it was Snape, they even waited to see if he may have forced someone to take polyjuice potion. Snape never stopped screaming until he vanished, now he was gone and no one would know until after the news about Voldemort was released and Harry and Daphne were back in America.
Harry then took over and levitated a silenced and potion-ed Voldemort. He could not make a sound but the potion he was given meant he couldn’t even try to fight. But Voldemort could see where he was and what was about to happen. Harry grinned as he levitated Voldemort through the veil of death. The moment he was gone, the prophecy orb that an unspeakable was holding, went Black. All Harry did was hold Daphne’s hand, then they activated their portkeys. They wanted out of England before anyone, like Dumbledore, tried anything.
The aurors told Sirius and Remus to also leave, they would follow, which they did. The unspeakables and Amelia would be informing the magical world that Harry Potter fulfilled the prophecy by killing Voldemort and this time for good. Amelia believed that having a statement from the unspeakables saying Voldemort was truly dead would make the people realise it was finally over. She would be explaining in her statement that Harry Potter did it for his parents, he then returned home with his wife.
Harry and Daphne asked everyone that knew they were married to keep it quiet. They did not want to risk Daphne’s parents. Now, everyone will know that Harry Potter was married and to who. Since Voldemort was dead along with many of his death eaters, the rest were in Azkaban, Daphne’s parents would be safe. Many would be happy for the saviour, while some would be furious and believed he had been cursed by a dark family. It was the reason Harry was also releasing a letter to be published in the Daily Prophet.
It was two days later that Sirius and Remus arrived in Harry and Daphne’s living room.
‘Albus tried to have you arrested for murder, until Amelia explained that Snape was sent through the veil for all his crimes and it was done by an unspeakable. He realised he couldn’t do anything to you,’ Sirius said the moment they sat down.
‘Everyone turned up at the ministry to say they wanted to thank you but knew your home was warded to all mail from people not on the list. They figured going to the ministry would have someone contact you or Sirius to know what they said,’ Remus said.
‘There were a few who tried to get the aurors to investigate to find the potion or curses someone had used on you,’ Sirius gestured towards Daphne.
‘We expected it so it’s not a surprise,’ Daphne said but smiled when Harry took her hand.
‘I could probably guess two, Molly and Ginny Weasley,’ Harry said.
‘Yep, along with Albus and Hermione. Amelia finally spoke to them to explain that she had spent time with both of you and then she lied. She said she secretly checked you for potions and curses, found none. She knew they wouldn’t listen so she figured saying she checked you might make them realise that Daphne did nothing except fall in love, just like you did. It’s all good pup and it’s all over,’ Sirius said with a smile.
‘We did get letters from the twins and a few others like Luna and the girls on the quidditch team, along with your old quidditch captain. They all said they were happy for you and Daphne,’ Remus said.
‘I would say ninety nine percent of the people over there support you and are happy for you. That’s all many of them want, for you to finally have a good life,’ Sirius said.
‘We have that now,’ Harry said giving his wife a smile. They did have a good life and very soon, they would add more to their family. To Harry, his life couldn’t be better.
