Accidental Time Magic?
Accidental Magic is a child's magical core expressing itself in a time of heightened emotions. Some it can be happiness, fear, overwhelmedness, or in extreme cases of life or death. A child's magic will do whatever it takes to protect its host. Some say that a child's Accidental Magic is the closest to the olde way magic existed before formal training with wands and the establishment of Hogwarts. So when a child’s magic activates and goes to an extreme to try and find a way to protect them even if it's to take them out of the situation they are in.

Magic hung in the air as a young boy with black hair and emerald eyes, stood there in a torn shirt and dirt shaking like a leaf. He had been dragged by the collar of his shirt, which now barely hung on his frame, as he stood there not sure where he was as people looked at him. He was only 4 years old and he felt the need to hide. Unknown to him, his magic was screaming out to the nearest bloodline to him. A figure was walking down the street when his family ring flashed twice for a branch member’s magic reaching out. t The well-dressed Lord of the House of Black saw the child standing in the street as if he was about to shrink in on himself. He saw that the boy was no older than his second son but looked to be half starved. He walked up and tilted his head as the child looked up. and magic flashed in his eyes as he then passed out.
Quick reflexes were all that saved the child from the road. Quickly sweeping the child into his arms, Lord Orion Black took the child to St. Mungo's hospital to get checked over. He could feel the magic in the child calming down as he walked on. He could feel it settling against his own magic and it seemed to soothe the raw edges of the magical core of the child. When he stepped into the medical hall he gathered the eyes of the nurses who quickly came to him to see what he needed.
"How can we help you today, Lord Black?" Said one nurse as she looked over the child in his arms worriedly.
"It seems one of my branch families has mistreated one of their little ones, I need a full work up for him including his name," he said moving so that the nurses could take the child but his magic reached out and latched onto the safe adult keeping him tethered while the child was unconscious.
"It seems Lord Black we will have to take you both to the exam room," one of the senior nurses stated as they led the way.
With a sigh, Orion Black nodded and walked behind the nurse, curious why the boy's magic kept them tied together for now. He made way to sit in a chair but found himself motioned to the exam table.
"We need him here if you don't mind Lord Black," said one of the nurses as they tried to not draw too much attention. Nodding, Lord Black moved and settled on the bed.
The nurses worked quickly as they did a full bloodline workup. He would have to wait for the workup to come back from what they needed to do, but the initial workup on what caused his magic to spike so harshly and call out for the nearest Lord of his line was quickly gotten as diagnostics charms were woven about the boy.
A scroll of parchment was made as Orion sat there. He saw how it curled on itself and frowned. A child of this age should have maybe a sheet of parchment but a scroll did not bode well for anyone who had been holding this child in their care.
The head nurse was called in as the one who cast the charm began to read the scroll. Eyes widened as they worked through the scroll and looked at the child laying there.
"Lord Black, the bloodline work up had just finished when I was called here, magic is protecting his parentage from us but indicated that they were not who was in custody of him at the time of his magic bringing him here." The head nurse began.
"What did it say? What is the boy's lineage?" He asked, looking at the nurse.
"He has the noble house of Black but it's the rest of his lines that are interesting, I will let you see them so they are not spoken of right here in open company, seeing as you are the Lord that was available to claim him, it might be best if you handle reaching out to any other bloodlines and seeing if they will take him in if you wish not to," the nurse said letting Lord Black take a look at the bloodline test.
Orion read over the parchment and frowned; his birth year was obscured as we're his parents. That was odd.
Name: Hadrian James P~~~~~~

Orion blinked this boy was black lineage twice over so it made sense that his ring picked up the distress call first. He ran a hand over his eyes as he looked at the other lineages that were listed there. So many bloodlines would have this child be politically powerful. If he could claim them. But he knew the potter heir, a spoiled thing that his son had taken a liking to at various events.
The names of the founders made him curious about what a blood test at Gringotts would show. Details the medical one did not possibly. He was worried as he looked at the sleeping child in his arms. He would take the boy in and raise him properly and let him have the heir training alongside Sirius. If he could claim any of the other heirships when he came of age, it would be interesting to see what the world would become when he joined the wizengamot.
Orion knew he didn't have to take the child in, but something about him kept him from wanting the child to leave his sight. He looked back to the diagnosis charm scroll and began to read what ailments were harming the boy.
As he read, he wanted to curse whoever had been the boy's guardians more with each line he went through. So much happened in three years. He made a notice that after one hallow's eve the babe seemed to be neglected and abused getting worse each year until the line that stated someone attempted to choke or strangle the poor child, which led to the magical exhaustion that finished the scroll.
He let the nurses treat what they could for now, but the most pressing point was the magical exhaustion right now along with the need to correct his diet.
With the nurses working quickly, he got the prescriptions for the potions the child would need and was allowed to use the floo to get the child home. He would have to register him as a dependent after they got a Gringotts test done once he was magically stable. He saw Kreature welcoming him home.
"Lord's son regulus is resting already, Heir Black is in the study learning with Master's sister," Kreature said bowing.
"Thank you Kreature, you may attend to Regulus when he wakes and your other duties until then," Orion said dismissing the house elf.
As Orion walked through the house he listened to the lesson that Sirius was having now.
"An heir of an ancient and noble house must know different ways to greet someone, we will start with someone of equal rank first," Lucretia said as she began to demonstrate the greeting.
Orion stepped to the doorway as he watched Sirius attempt to mimic the same greeting. He found Sirius didn't fight as much about lessons now that he was not being taught by his own mother.
The world had wanted Walburga gone with a quickness after Regulus was born. He had maybe nine months with her before she got sick with something that had attacked her magical core and led to magical depletion in a mere two weeks. Nothing had been able to be done but none of his children had been affected and everyone else remained healthy. Some say she dabbled with the wrong spell and that caused the sickness that happened so suddenly.
Drawing himself from his thoughts he watched as Lucretia seemed to handle Sirius with the lessons and hated that he would have to interrupt.
"Lord Black," Lucretia said, bowing to her head of family. Sirius turned and bowed as well.
"I see your lessons are going well," he said, holding the child in his arms still.
"They are father," said the young boy of 6 years who wanted to smile and grin as a 6-year-old should normally.
"That's good, go to your room for a bit and read your Etiquette books okay, I need to talk with your aunt for a bit," he said and got a grin from the child who nodded and bounded off.
"What's wrong brother?" Lucretia asked as she noticed the sleeping child in his arms.
"I found a child of the Black line alone in Diagon Alley, took him to the hospital, and found he has not had the best of upbringings. I will be taking him in from here on out" he said. "But it is his lineages that I worry about, I will have you swear not to reveal this to anyone else," he said to Lucretia who raised a hand to her lips gasping. It was not often that Orion called for swearing on the Black family line to keep information hidden.
"Of course brother, you need not ask, I will always keep the family secrets," she said as she watched Orion nod as he cast privacy charms around the study that they were inside. He looked at his sister and the ring shined for a moment to recognize what was said next with Family Magic to protect her from unsavory means of information retrieval.
“This child is the heir to at least 8 magical lines, He is the heir to all the Founders, I don’t want him to be used as a pawn in anyone's plans, not with him having Black blood twice over,” he said pulling out the sheet of parchment and letting Lucretia read it over. She was shocked and it showed in her eyes.
“But how is this possible?” she asked as she looked at her Head of family.
“That is the mystery but it has to be tied to the magical exhaustion he had when I found him. I do believe, I wonder..” Orion said as he thought about what was going on, It seemed like the Magic that had brought him into their lives was the most extreme kind of Accidental Magic. He took a deep breath and would call Cassiopeia to talk about his theory.
Lucretia watched Orion as he seemed protective of the child in his arms. “So how will we keep him safe from being used? He has Potter on his lineage, do we tell them or just let it go? Should we just give him a name and hide him within the Black Family? Or should he take one of his other titles once of age to do so?” she asked as she looked at Orion.
“I will claim him as a member of the Black family, if what I am thinking is true, he might just need that when his magic deems him safe enough. I will set everything up for the young boy to succeed,” he said softly as he looked at the child. He would have three sons now, one being the son of a distant relative that passed away. This would be the start of Hadrian Black.
