Wonders
That morning you both had quidditch practice and the both of you almost played better than usual, so much so that Oliver had said “Merlin Celeste! I didn't think you could get better!”. You both had changed and walked hand in hand down to breakfast. When you got some smirks from the girls, you gave them a sarcastic look. You had your usual toast and read a book before classes began. You however had an unusual feeling in you. Yeah you loved Georgie, but this was different. You had gotten to transfiguration, and as soon as you attempted to cast the first spell of the day, it made a giant explosion. “Is everyone alright? Is anyone hurt?” McGonagal’s voice rang out just after it happened. “I’m good,” you said in between coughs. When everyone was shown to be okay, the professor had said “If this is a prank, it is unacceptable and will be punished.” but saw your frightened face, and said “However I know you are friends of the twins, I would find it hard to believe it was a prank, but much rather an accident. Am I correct?” “You are.” you replied. “Do you have any idea why it would have happened? Have you been feeling even the slightest bit different?” she queried “Not the slightest idea, however I did feel slightly off this morning, but I didn't think it would affect my wand work.” you responded. “How about you just sit out for this one? Or until the feeling boils down?” She recommended to you and you agreed. How could a simple color changing spell go wrong? It was something you learned in your first year… What would that feeling be from? You had thought and then remembered the note with your necklace. It read that something would happen on your 13th birthday, and you felt the exact same thing then. I wonder what was happening? You felt the feeling bubble in you even more, and when the kind professor had checked in on you after class to see if you were alright or feeling any better, she seemed almost in horror that you told her the feeling had multiplied. She recommended you head to bed and see if you felt better, which is just what you did.
You had taken a nap and when you woke up around lunch to find that not only you, but everything in the dorm was floating, “CRAP” When you got scared everything had dropped and thankfully nothing had broken, and you landed on the bed. You were just trying to get out of bed, when it seemed that something effortlessly lifted you out of bed and on the ground. Your bracelet had started flashing very fast, as if George was running or flying, so you guessed he would be there soon. Just as you had expected, George came rushing in and said “Is-everything-alright? The-bracelet-was-going-fast-and-what-is-going-on-with-your-hands?!” and when you looked at them they were glowing blue and when you checked on the necklace, it had glowing orange and blue sparkling and swirling around in it. “What’s going on?” you said in a worried voice, and George’s bracelet was glowing in very fast spurts. George came closer to you to try to hug you and calm you down but when he did, you backed up and said “I don't want to hurt you!”. Fred came in and seemed to have read George's mind and got McGonagall. George had backed away from you, and when white orbs formed in the room he left at your angrily command. They had come in when McGonagall had gotten there, and said that for being a relative of the Black family, it had happened before and is controllable. She had said another student had it, and her name was Lyra Black. She doesn't have much information, but from what she does have, she can help with it. In Lyra, this happened from a development that allowed her to do great things, with or without a wand. For now until it does not come out in random spurts, she excused you from having to perform spells or using magic in your classes. Your hands stopped glowing, and George’s bracelet had stopped glowing as fast as it was. You had got to sit out for the rest of the day, and your friends brought you your homework. When the Halloween feast came, the DADA professor, Quirrell, ran screaming that there was a troll in the dungeon. Dumbledoor had ordered everyone to their houses, I suppose not thinking that the Slytherins have to go to the dungeons. Later you see Harry and Ron sneak out, and that is when you realize that Hermione had not been there when Quirrell came in. You told George and Fred who told your head of house. It turns out, they had defeated the troll to save Hermione, and lived to tell the tale. Quite odd for first years…
