Best Birthday Present
Your 14th birthday had come around the corner, and it was even more of a blast than usual. The twins had arranged for after the party in the common room for there to be a smaller party of friends to gather in the Astronomy tower. With amazing music, dancing, pranks, and food your birthday was absolutely the best and amazing. When you had finally gotten to the Astronomy tower with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Violet, Scarlette, and Ava, you had a great time talking and playing games. When you saw Harry was there, you thought since you had not properly introduced yourself that you should. “Hey Harry! Have you had a good time?” ”Yeah, it's been great! You're on the quidditch team, right? Your really good!” he said “Thank you, and anyways, how is Hogwarts? I know it was like finding a part of me I never knew I needed to find. Kind of like a safe haven.” “Exactly like that! The Dursleys don't really like me, so that's exactly how it feels!” he replied. “The Malfoys aren't my biggest fans, so I get what you mean. Did you have any cake? It was really good.” “Yeah, and anyways happy birthday!” he said “Thank you Harry!” and with that he went back to his friends and you went back to yours. Ava and Scarlette had officially told you all that they were dating and were heavily congratulated for being open about not being ashamed to show people who they are. George went to his dorm to get you your present, no matter how many times you have told your friends you will refuse birthday and christmas gifts. “Close your eyes!” he said just before you could see him. “They’re closed” you told him and sensed him walking closer. “Annnnd… Open them!” he said just after sliding something over your wrist. You looked down to see a blue and orange bracelet with a small gem flashing opaque as to be able to be worn without being distracting. “It's gorgeous!... What does it do?” you asked ”Its 2 bracelets that are connected that show the other’s heart beat. I thought you might like it, but if you don't-” ”George, I love it! I presume that you have the other one?” you said while cutting him off. “I do” he had said while holding his wrist up to show an almost identical one with green and yellow with another gem showing your heartbeat which had slightly increased.
When it was just the two of you since everyone else had headed off to bed before the prefects and head girl and boys started doing their rounds. You both got up, and all you could think about was kissing him. He’s just so perfect in every way you could imagine, so you did it. You decided to just go for it but before you could he had kissed you. Oh merlin i’m kissing him you thought at first, but then continued just as gentle as he was. “Does this mean-” “We’re dating? If you want it to,” you finished for him. He just smiled and lifted you up in the air and twirled you as if you were the one true thing he loved. You both headed to your dorms, and if he didn't have the map you both would have walked right into the Ravenclaw head girl.
