You were running late the next morning, and accidentally bumped into a 5th year Hufflepuff Prefect. ”I'm so sorry, I should have been looking where I was going-” “Hey, I don't mind. Are you alright?” “Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry you dropped your papers though, let me help you.” “No need. Nymphadora Tonks, and you?” “Sorry, um, Celeste Malfoy. Nice to meet you!” ”Great to meet you as well!” Nymphadora had kept going her way, and Celeste made it just in time for a quick meal. ”Where were you? You can't keep disappearing like that on me!” Violet said when you got to the table.”Sorry, I didn't hear the alarm, and accidentally bumped into Nymphadora Tonks on the way here.” “Are you alright? I've heard she can be quite mean for a Hufflepuff.” Scarlette said. “Well actually, she was really nice when I met her.” “Wait, what! She told me off because I looked at her the wrong way!”Adoni Eurython from Ravenclaw said. Then the boys came over and the girls relayed the information. “Geez, I heard that when somebody asked about her hair changing colors, she hexed them! I have no idea how you got away with bumping into her!” Lee said. “So you're telling me her hair changes colors? Was that from a charm or is she a metamorphmagus?” you asked. You always have kept your own abilities a secret, even from the Malfoys. “Yep. Born it, and if you ask me I'd say they're all like that. Never met another one, but it seems to be true.” said Fred “Hey, that's rude! You shouldn't judge her because she gets a bad temper a lot! She probably just feels mis-understood or found it offensive!” you told Fred and abruptly left. Little did you know that at that moment you couldn't hide when your hair turned a bright red as you strode down the table not stopping until you get outside despite them calling your name and saying they were sorry.
You avoided them the rest of the day, not wanting to assess the hair. After your last class, you study in the Astronomy Tower, where George comes to talk. ”I thought i’d find you here,” “Seems you guessed right. If you say ‘I hate you’ I wouldn't blame you.” “Actually, I came to check in on you. If you asked me, I'd say I like your colors. And if you want to change, I'd like that about you too. I don't care who you are or what you look like, I care for what’s inside of this.” and he pointed to your heart. You felt nothing but butterflies in your stomach, and could feel your cheeks getting hot. ”There are some parts about you that you might not like, but that doesn't mean the right person isn't somewhere out there waiting for it.” You saw him start blushing and then he looked away. You don't know what made you say it, but it just came out and felt right “I like you George. I know you might feel the same way and I know you might not, but you ought to know.” He looked at you and just smiled, then said “I think I like you too.” and with that your hair turned a shade of pink and you saw George’s smile grow wider. “Do you feel like heading back?” “I’d like that.”. Off you two went hand-in-hand to find the others in the common room looking gloomy and Emma yelling at Fred that it was his fault you disappeared. George cleared his throat and everyone turned to look at you. You didn't like the attention, and George must know as he covers you with his body slightly. Still holding hands Ava asks “Celeste, are you alright? Violet had a panic attack when you disappeared.” “I’m good. Don't worry, it won't happen again. Well, I take that back, but I'll never leave you Vi!” Violet got off of their couch and hugged Celeste, whispering in her ear so only she could hear ”Someone left a package for someone. Left it outside our dorm. I got scared, that's all!” When she pulled away you had confusion written on your face. “Who is it addressed to?” “You, but there is another name on it too. I'm not sure if you know them though. I don't recognize the name at all! Follow me.” Violet started sprinting up the stairs to the girls dormitories, where on your bed lay an orange parcel with blue ribbon and tag. You open it cautiously, to find a necklace wrapped up neatly with precision and care. It was a pendulum, probably diamond as it was clear and crystal-like. “It doesn't seem cursed or anything. Oh-there's a note.” You opened the note which read the following.
Orange as a fox, Blue as a lake
The gift will arise on your 13th Birthday
You put the necklace on, and didn't feel even an ounce different, and usually you are good at sensing even hidden spells.
In a years time, you will understand…
