The new house
Hermione woke up very early. Her mind would not stop turning. She knew that she had gotten actually quite lucky, the Weasleys were good men. It was more just that she had marry all six of them. Live with all of them. Have sex with them all. Or face jail.
It was a lot to take in. She didn't even want think about the anger she had seen Ron's face. He had never been the most logical and quick to anger. Was he angry at the situation, or her or himself.
She rolled over and looked at the clock, 6am. She did a quick cleaning spell that she hadn't used since they were on the run. He quietly headed down to make herself a cup of coffee. There was an owl waiting patiently at the kitchen window. She told the letter and say it was addressed to her. The owl flew off without waiting for a reply. She opened the letter eagerly.
Dear Hermione,
I offer my apologies once again for your situation but I assure you it for the best. If you ask Arthur he will be able to take you to Dolhov's mansion. It is now yours. It will be changed to Bill's name in due course as he is the oldest. You will also get access to all of Dolhov's funds as he no longer needs them. As for a job for yourself I know that you were looking to work in the ministry, unfortunately that is no longer an option. I am sure your new life will take time to get used to, but I am sure you'll find happiness. I am here if you need anything.
Yours gratefully
Kingsley.
She read the later several times to let it sink in. She was expected to be a breeding farm. No-one would hire her. She was fighting back tears as Arthur walked in.
"Morning Hermione, how you doing today?" He asked gently.
"I'm okay, got a letter from Kingsley along with the keys for our new house." She told Mr Weasley as she handed him the letter.
"Well let's deal with one thing at a time. I can take you all to the house later today if you wish?"
"Can we go now just us two, I need a little more time and to get more information." She asked him.
"Of course." He told her as took her arm and apparated.
They landed at the gates of a huge building. Mr Weasley tried the gates but couldn't open them. She tried and they opened easily.
"Kingsley must have set it recognise me and your sons." She added as they entered.
The grounds were huge, lots of room of quidditch. Once they entered the house she noticed just how beautiful it was. Marble staircases led to the many bedrooms, she lost count at 12. There was a library, one that rivaled hogarts in size. It still had thousands of books from the previous owner. She started making a list in head of things that would need to be done to make it home.
The kitchen was beautiful! She wasn't much of a cook , but she would be happy to learn here. There was also a potions lab, the twins would be happy.
Overall with a bit of work making it their own. They would be happy. Now for her to deal with the rest of the situation, being married to six men and no job prospects.
Mr Weasley apparated them back. Everyone else was up and having breakfast. She grabbed a slice of toast and took a seat beside Ginny. The other girl gave a her warm smile. Everyone seemed like they had as good as night sleep as she had.
Once breakfast was over Mr Weasley ushered Ginny and Harry out, stating they should discuss her marriage. Mrs Weasley left with a kiss to Hermione's temple.
She didn't know where to look. She could face a death eater easily but facing her husbands to be was beyond her.
"I know none of you asked for this. You will all have your own reasons for this to be hard. But if we work together we can do. Kingsley has given us Dolhov's old mansion and his fortune. Myself and Arthur went today and it was beautiful. My big worry is that I am no longer allowed to work at the ministry. No one will want to hire me. So that is my biggest worry. Oh also Kingsley told me that since there is so many of us in this marriage that we need to have eight children." Hermione told them all without looking at any of them.
"Well that was a lot. Hermione, we will help make this as easy on you as possible. " Fred said.
"Well, let's start with things slowly. I'll go visit the house later along with anyone who wants to. We can move in fully after the marriage . Which brings us to, the wedding, mum says she can arrange it fir two days before the deadline. Gives time to let it all sink in. Is this okay with everyone?" Bill asked the table.
Everyone nodded.
"I was wondering if before the wedding I could go on a couple of dates with each of you, to get to know you better and discuss anything that is worrying each of you. That gives just about three and a half weeks for twelve dates but we can make it work." Hermione said.
"I like that, Percy can you come up with dating timetable? To work around our schedules." Bill asked him.
"Count me out." Ron snarled.
"No Ron, it's a good idea, you may know her well but it's still a good idea. You do not know her as your future wife." Bill told him in his older brotherly tone. He addressed the rest of the group again. "I want us all to respect our future wife, so nothing more than kissing is allowed on these dates, or any point before the wedding." His tone left no room for argument.
"Hermione this is the awkward bit. You need to be intimate with each of us a month after the wedding. I think the dates will go a long way to making you feel more comfortable later on. None of us will ever force yourselves on you. Please know that. But we also must do what the law demands. I need to ask a really awkward question. Are you virgin?" Bill asked jer with out making eye contact.
Ron whispered "Krum" but Hermione ignored him.
"Yes I am." She told them.
"Well during your dates get to know each of your husbands to be a decide who you want to be your first. Someone you feel comfortable with, hopefully starting to get feelings for. We will all respect your decision. You will spend our wedding night with them. I would ask though that you do not include me in that. Not meaning offence I just..." Bill told them, not able to continue.
"I understand, umm yes that all sounds good. I am planning to do up the house over the next few weeks, there's nothing wrong with it, I just want to make it homey. More like us." Hermione told them, feeling a lot better about this situation. "If you could all visit the house and choose a room. And could we have a family meeting once a week before the wedding to discuss any problems. "
"That sounds good." Charlie told her whilst looking her directly in the eyes.
Hermione felt hot under his gaze and had to look away quickly.
After a few minutes of silence people started to get up and get on with their own activities.
Later that evening Percy gave everyone their date schedule.
Charlie gave Hermione a personalised room plaque that he had made that afternoon. It was a piece of wood with her name carved into, books and cauldrons were pictured around her name.
"Charlie it's beautiful, I did not know you could this, its amazing. Thank you. " She told him as she gave him a big hug.
"It's a simple spell just takes concentration. I'm making one for each of us. If the house is as big as you say then we need a way not to walk in on each other." Charlie told her blushing.
Hermione spent the rest of the day looking up magical careers that she coukd have and plan for her date with Fred the next evening.
