Freds first date
Hermione woke up feeling much fresher. She was beginning to get her head around this whole thing. She had always loved spending time at the burrow, mostly because she loved the Weasleys. Now she would get to live the best times of her life for ever.
She was looking forward to some alone time with each of them. Tonight was Fred and he had planned something exciting apparently.
After breakfast she went to her new home to sort out a few thing, Mrs and Mr Weasley went with her.
Molly took a good long look about the house, checking every nook and crany, making sure it would be perfect for her boys.
Hermione looked round the bedrooms, she chose one over looking the gardens. It had a balcony, she could imagine herself sitting out there on warm evenings, sipping a glass of wine and reading a book. She put up her plaque on the door or her new room. She stuck it with an unmovable charm, just in case any of those pesky Weasleys tried to take her room.
She started on the library, getting rid of any dark magic books and sent them by object apparition to the ministry. She then started to catalogue the books in her system.
After what felt like hours she stopped working and apparated back to the burrow to get ready for her date.
He told her to wear something warm. She wrapped up in jeans and a fluffy pink jumper.
She walked down the stairs and saw that Fred was waiting for her. He looked handsome and slightly nervous.
He took her hand as they walked into the garden. She assumed they were going at apparate, but they walked down the road leading to the burrow and then a left, along a path she had never been down before. They arrived a pond which was magically iced over, Fred said a quick spell on both their shoes and he started to skate.
She followed him. She glided along the ice, hesitantly at first the with more confidence. She could see Fred glance at her and smile. She couldn't help giggle at how much fun she was having.
The skated over the ice for about half an hour before Hermione got too confident and tried to a jump and twirl but landed funny and twisted her ankle. Fred was over to her in a second. He pulled cast a quick healing spell, helped her up and they skated over to a blanket with a picnic.
Pouring her a glass of wine , he handed it to her.
"Thank you Fred, this was amazing. I often forget to have fun. I get so focused on things that need to be done and just forget to make time to just enjoy life. So thank you." She told Fred with a bright smile.
"I will make sure you take plenty of time to have fun, I'll make it my mission to make you laugh once a day." Fred told her as he started to feed her a strawberry before snatching it back and eating it himself.
She mock gasped and punched his arm slightly.
"Ow!" Fred said with a grin. His eyes were locked on hers. She felt her butterflies. She contemplated kissing him, but decided she wasn't quite ready for all this to be that real yet.
They finished eating and tidied up. Starting to walk back as the sun was beginning to set, Hermione took his hand. They walked in silence, just enjoying each others company.
"That was a fantastic first date. I cannot think of anything that would have been better." She told him, gave him a quick peck on the cheek then entered burrow.
