Hawkins

Dustin, Lucas, Will and Mike were chilling, playing D&D. They were just sitting down when a golden chain with an hourglass pendant appeared.
"Okay, who threw that?" Mike asked as it had interrupted the game.
"Not me," The other three boys said at once.
"Well SOMEONE did!" Said Dustin, irritated.
"What's all the yelling about?" Nancy Wheeler said, having heard the boys bickering.
"Yeah what she said," Steve said, coming behind Nancy.

“Guys-” Jonathan barely had time to say before the redhead he’d seen earlier smashed into his knees, knocking him down.
But rather than falling onto the soft, long, dewy grass, he kept falling. He had all of one millisecond to see a flash of black before the squeezing sensation returned. Again, it lasted a mere 2 seconds before he collapsed onto the ground. Except this time, as they all noticed, it wasn’t soft grass, it was a run down, cracking paved road. But not just any run down, cracking paved road, THEIR run down, cracking paved road.
Jonathan looked up to see a familiar sign:
