Hogwarts
13-year-old Lily Evans reached for her time turner underneath her thick, wollen orange sweatshirt. Her heart skipped a beat.
Rather than the cold, smooth metallic time turner, Lily was met with raw, warm, pulsing flesh. James took his eyes off Regulus and looked back to the Gryffindor table.
“What’s wrong, Lils?” he asked, seeing his friend’s mortified look.
“Nothing.” Lily squeaked before rushing out of the great hall.
Lily paced and paced on the grounds. Hours later, it was nearing nightfall. Marlene went out to check on a still panicking Lily.
“Lily?” she said.
“IT’S GONE!” Lily whisper-yelled aggressively.
“What’s gone?” Marlene said reproachfully
“My…My… *time turner*” She whispered the last words.
“It can’t possibly be that far!” Marlene assured Lily. She made towards the lake, when a group of kids about their age, but not in robes, appeared.
“WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK.” one of the kids yelled. He had a blue, red & white hat on, and an American accent.
“I’d like you to tell me that!” an older girl with curly hair yelled aggressively. From what it looked like, there were four younger kids and three older ones. None of them had noticed the two British girls standing behind them. Just at that moment, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and James had come rushing down, seeing new people their age.
Unfortunately, the normally coordinated marauders fell victim to Pete’s fall and all came rolling down the hill by the lake, right into Marlene and Lily.
The six Brits barrel-rolled into the seven Americans.
Filch could smell chaos, so he came running. But just as he got there impact.
Every Hogwarts student present fell right into the legs of one of the Americans. Filch yelled. Mrs. Norris mewed. There was a flicker of gold, a time turner! Lily made to grab for it, but they were all swallowed into the ground.
It felt like they were being shoved through rubber straws with their eyes pushed in and limbs pulled out.
That lasted about 1.5 seconds.
When it was over, Lily stood up to see an unfamiliar sign;
