Plan and Regret
The next morning the girls were in the dorm again. Everything was the same, only Mattheo was still in my bed. When I woke up they were looking at me like I had done something. But I shook my head and woke Mattheo.
"Hey. We have to get ready for classes. I'll see you in potions" I told him as I got out of bed. Mattheo stood up but I grabbed his arm. Alice and Pansy went into the bathroom and I leaned into Mattheo's ear. "And don't forget. Potter pays for what he did. Meet me in the courtyard during our free period" I smirked and left to get ready. The door shut as Mattheo left the dorm. When I entered the bathroom Pansy was smiling at me.
"Soooo. Mattheo, huh?" She questioned. I chuckled and looked up to face her.
"He was just helping me sleep. I was lonely"
"sure. And you have both been staring at each other for weeks but nothing is happening"
"Not yet" I said under my breath. I turned at knew they heard me.
"Oooooo" They both said. I rolled my eyes and went to do my makeup. I applied my mascaera and eyeliner. Then I waved my want to put my hair into dutch braids. I wore a brown and white off the shoulder knitted sweater with ripped jeans. I found my black healed boots and my favorite wand holder.
Alice and Pansy had a free period first period so I left without them. I met Mattheo, Enzo, and Draco in the common room. As we left the common room, a first year I recognized was being punched by some Gryfindors. Immediatly, I ran to help him as fast as my heals would allow. I heard someone running right behind me.
"HEY! Dickhead! Get off him" I yelled. The kids looked at me and didn't seem to realize who I was. They went to come over to me, as they were considerably taller than me. I felt the presence of my boys behind me and the kids backed off. I smirked knowing they were terrified. Draco and Enzo had beaten kids up before and some ended up in the hospital wing. Mattheo, well, he was Voldemort's son so people were just scared of him. As soon as they ran away, I lept to the floor to help the kid. He was crying and I knew who he was.
"Hey, you're the boy who was being bullied by a kid a few months ago right?" I asked and he nodded. "Hufflepuff. Nice. What's your name?" I asked. He was crying and looked scared from the super tall guys behind me. I rolled my eyes before helping him up.
"Jacob. Jacob Haf. That's my um.. name" He replied quietly. I smiled and took his hand to help him through the halls. I took him to where he said his friends were and told him to get me if he ever needed anything. Then me and the boys left for potions. We got there just in time.
"Ah, welcome. Take a seat wherever" Slughorn said. I walked to the back as Draco and Enzo went to the front. Mattheo sat next to me. "So, students. We will be reviewing everything you should have learned and then going over anything we still need. Tommorow we will study Antromeda so be prepared" He explained. We spent the entire lesson taking notes on previous years lessons.
"What's the plan? I mean, how do we know Potter will be there during our free period. Also how do you know that's his free period?" Mattheo whispered to me. I kept writing my notes and making them look nice. He kicked my legs and I glared at him. Mattheo raised his hands slightly to surrender. I leaned over to whisper a response.
"Everyone with potions first has the same free period. And I have Potter all sorted out. Just be ready to get some blood on you" I told him. I leaned back over to my side and began making my notes look fancy. Markers did all the work as I added a lot of color to the pages. The bell rang and I left for Astronomy. It had always facinated me and I studied it a lot. Astronomy was a part of muggle witchcracft, which was something I studied.
Even if it was daytime, there was still so much to see. I peaked through the telescope and watched the moon. It hadn't set so I could easily see it. We had a project coming up and I chose to do it on the moon. Nothing was more facintating to me that the moon. It had the ability to control the water on Earth yet still gave us light at night. I sat and took notes on what could be seen to the naked eye. Someone was using the telescope so I had to wait.
I got up to use the restroom and began walking through the halls. I heard a noise so I grabbed my wand. Luciana was walking in my direction.
Mattheo Riddle
No one came back to the dorm so I slept on the floor. It didn't feel right leaving Orabelle alone after the encounter. I felt bad as I was there and should have protected her. But now I could only stay amd comfort. The bed began to stir and she sat up. Orabelle looked magnificent, with her hair somehow perfect and her natural beauty shining. I sat up and hugged her. She seemed so small in this moment. I left to get her food but when I came back she asked me to stay.
"Can you stay?" Were the only words I heard from her. I sat next to her, aloowing her to become drowsy and tucked her under the covers. But once again, she asked me to stay. So I pulled up the covers and hugged her. Orabelle looked so vulnerable from when I first met her. The tough girl attitude was gone. I felt terrible.
I should have paid more attention when she was dancing with a stranger. A stranger that handed her a drink. But I went and danced with a girl. Aurora Pierce to be exact. She was my ex and I'm sure everyone knew that. Before people knew who I was, they saw me pick her up and drop her off at Kings Cross. But last year, I had been fighting with her when we got there. I broke up with her as we waited for the train. Everyone was staring. And I ended up leaving. Since that was at the start, no one saw me get her from the station at Christmas or end of year. As far as I'm sure, she stayed at Hogwarts for the first time. So this would have made Orabelle upset.
I had been so keen on making her jealous, that Orabelle had slipped past me. I had asked around after a little and no one saw her leave. One person said she left with some boy so I ran into the corridor. And that's when I heard it. The blood curtling scream. Not one of pleasure, but pain. So I ran to the source and a door was locked. I banged on it till someone came. Immediatly, I looked past the person and saw Orabelle. She was crying and looked as though she would pass out. When I tried to enter, the boy stopped me. I didn't even see who it was, I just punched him, making him drop to the floor. Orabelle took one look at the scene and passed out.
She layed naked on the table and I knew she was being raped. So I took off my jacket and wrapped her in it. Then I carried the unconsious girl to her dorm. Orabelle didn't wake so I laid out a blanket and pillow for myself. But now, seeing her crying, I felt so bad. I could have just paid attention and this would not have happened. But as I lay next to her, she seemed comforted by me. I took my arm and placed it around her, pulling her closer to my chest. Orabelle snuggled up to me and I smiled. I had one goal and that was to protect her at all cost. Even if it risked my whole life.
