Chapter 1
When the earthquake happened - or that's how Katie described it - Gabriel was not on Earth but back at Paradise. She was called back for a meeting with the Head and it surprised them all since not only Earth was touched by it but all of the world, universe even. Then it somehow made sense after they learned that the Demon King and his precious pearl of a daughter had fought, why? Nobody could answer but the repercussions were visible and disastrous because two whole planets disappeared... along with the princess herself.
Gabriel doesn't know the princess or meet is the proper word and actually, nobody hadn't, she is like a myth, like just some fictional character, nobody knows what she looks like but all they know is that she is dangerous, vicious and a fucking serial killer but after all, that's what makes her the perfect Shinigami. They all know her by tale, only the habitant of Hell knows her and it's like they all made a pact to hide her from everyone and yet, the other members of the family as in the king himself and his four sons are publicly known. The king has five children: Delrios; the eldest, Antharos; the second child, Narcicious; the middle child, Tartarous; the fourth child and lastly Lucifer; the last child and the only girl. They are all dangerous and feared by the Angels and the other habitants of the planets knowing that Angles and Demons are not just myth. She hadn't had the pleasure to meet the four sons either but her father had and he was left traumatized, and it's her father they're talking about as in the most powerful and strongest Angel that had ever existed, then she appeared of course.
She sighs as she overlooked Paradise from where she was; only Gods know what Lucifer is going to do now that she is free as wind... maybe she should -
"I hope that you're thinking about me" said a playful voice behind her and she jumped before cussing out, making the person laugh as they hugged her from behind "or else I'll be offended~" she tried her best not to cringe or freeze up so she laughed and left the embrace
"I am thinking about what had happened to Lucifer and what's Shinigami's next move" she said in a serious voice and Nircas - her fiancé - scowled before sighing
"Gabriel," he said and she tensed up and pray to whoever up there to help her out "we need to -"
"Nircas." she cuts him with a tired sigh "can we not right now? We have a major problem to face here"
"Ah, cause our bonding ceremony isn't" He snarked with a frown and she frowned back, not in the mood for this.
"Nircas," she growled and his eyes widened "this is not the time for this. Lucifer is out there doing only Gods know what and here you are talking about a fucking bonding ceremony." she finished coldly, her voice even and her eyes glowing gold, hands twined at her back, the stature of a monarche. Nircas gulped at the sight
" Apologies Gabriel..." he muttered and she nodded in acknowledgement
" It's okay, and please never touch me without my permission. Ever again." she said firmly, looking dead in his eyes then nodded again when he lowered his head in submission. She left without saying goodbye, leaving a very pissed off and angry Nircas behind
" Fucking bitch..."
Gabriel walked toward the throne room, feeling somehow happy even after that thing with Nircas and she groaned just at the thought, gripping her tunic tightly. Don't get her wrong, she liked Nircas, they are childhood friends after all but since she needed a mate to rule - a soul mate to be exact - her parents choose a suitor for her who happened to be Nircas and since that day he hadn't stopped harassing her and forcing her to do things with him and that annoys her. Which is why she can't stand him and as always, she wished to find her soul mate, her real love, the one she may choose and not some substitute of a mate who annoys her to no end that makes her wish to terminate their bonding... And they're not even bonded yet! She growled out of frustration :
"Well, seems like someone is worked up," chuckled someone and she halts, blinking as she faced the throne and Monarch, her father "is something bothering you child?"
"Father," she bowed to him in respect "Yes, I am slightly worried about my friends on Earth... after... you know..." she trailed off
"I do" he sighed before they fell silent, eyeing each other "Child. Is that all?" he asked again and she pursed her lips, noddinv
"My friends really do... I really miss them" she said then adds "Especially Katie, so I thought that maybe it is tile for me to go back on Earth? With your permission of course" she adds standing straight as a rode and her father sighs again, there is something he knows it but he can't corner her line this. He knows his daughter well enough to not do that.
"Of course child, you can and please say my greetings to these friends of yours"
"Will do Father, thank you" she bowed again, face as stoic as ever and he wondered what it will be like to see her smile. He nods before she left the throne room and nods to every person presents here despite being their superiors.
After having her father's approval, she made her way quickly to the teleporter packing up her baggages, doing her best to avoid her mother and her fiancé to avoid fights - stupid ones - altogether.
She was so relieved, happy and free to feel the distinct air that Earth produce. She loves Paradise but it's just suffocating her, not to adds her mother who loves to remind her who she is and who she will be. It makes their relationship odd and stiff.
"Gaby!" called someone from afar and she sighs, a small smile tugging at her lips, she really did miss Katie. "Oh my fucking god, where the fuck have you been?!"
"Still swearing like a sailor huh?" she said when Katie reached her and thankfully Katie hadn't tried to hug her "Hi Katie"
"Don't fucking 'hi Katie' me bitch!" she yelled "where. have. you. BEEN ?!"
"I was at my parents Katie chill" she sighs, adjusting her backpack before walking to her house and Katie huffed "Did something happened? Other than the earthquake" Katie huffed again but then she lights up making Gabriel raise an eyebrow
"Ah yes, there is" and before Gabriel could ask, she goes on "Three months ago, after you left" she said with a glare and Gaby rolled her eyes, she often forgot that Earth and Paradise has two different time-line "A new girl appeared, she is Tanya's friend and they live together. The girl is so nice you should meet her, she is very pretty too and is kinda stupid - don't tell her I said that -" Gaby snickered "she is actually a lot of thing..." and then Katie babbled about this famous girl all their way home and Gabriel is so ready to avoid this girl, too much sunshiney for her "... oh and did I mention that she is such a fucking clutz?" Katie laughed and Gaby hummed "God, the girl is so clumsy! She could fall tripping on her own shoes! Can you believe it?"
"No. I can't and I won't" she said curtly and Katie scoffed
"Ugh, are you planning on ignoring her?"
"Why -"
"Watch out!!" was all warning she got before a body fell down on her and she groaned, Katie squeaked and the person above her whined.
"Gaby?! What the -"
"Lucy!!" she was so ready to kill this person, she knows Angels do not kill but like all of her friends had pointed out, she does not act like an Angel at all. And wait that voice, is Tha not Tanya's?
"Oh sweet Jesus? Lucy? Gaby? Are y'all okay?" so Lucy was the person's name, she then opened her eyes, putting on her resting bitch face on, and ready to yell at this Lucy but then she meets the most beautiful and hypnotizing mochha eyes she had ever laid her own blue eyed one and instead, she had no idea how she looked at all but could clearly see the surprise on the other girl's eyes, her mouth hangs open before she grinned awkwardly and somehow, Gaby finds it endearing and the girl cute!
"Hi Gaby, name's Lucy" she said with a weird accent and Gaby... Oh God, Gaby had never felt like this, emotions clear as day on her face and most importantly...her heart had never quickened like this or skipped a beat when she looked at the other's face and so like an idiot, she gulped, hands on the girl's waist. She never felt this ridiculous, this awkward in all her life and she's a fucking future monarche!
God! What the fuck is happening? And then the girl's grin turned into a soft smile and something in her just clicked... Oh!
