Chapter 2
Since the moment she knew how to kill, to hunt and to collect soul, she had a purpose: making her beloved daddy proud and never deceive him. Well that and annoy her four eldest, just like how little sisters are born to be. She's living a happy and full life, where she gets to travel the universe, kill people, collect their souls and making the others bend to her father's knees. She is feared, she knows that, even if none of them know exactly what she looks like. Her people loves her, her father loves her, her family loves her so she doesn't give a fuck about what the mighty Archangels or Angels or the other living beings all around the universe thinks of her, as long as she makes her daddy proud and bring hell to her big brothers life, having their approval she is okay with all of it. That' s what makes her the perfect and the most feared Shinigami out there. It pleases her to see the others face when they all learned that maybe, Hell will or may be passed over to a girl; a girl named Lucifer Shinigami.
It's not often that she and her father argued but it's not unusual either but they having to fight physically is a sight to behold and every single time it happens, no-one was allowed to intervene or to interrupt it. She lost - always lost - and like every time, she left Hell for a little bit - to have a vacation...a deserved one. Actually, that is only reason as to why she and her father doesn't agreed on: she wants to leave for a little bit but he never allows her... so à fight is it. This time though, they went a little but hard on each other and now, everyone knows that they had fought and that she vanished. Great!
Even if she did not vanish - kind of - she just ends up at a random planet where she could stay to explore and eventually, she goes back to Hell... if they found her that is.
When she was hit by her father, she ends up on a planet named Earth, she was unconscious and thankfully was not in her demon firm - with her wings and horns and red eyes and all that - when Tanya - a human - found her laying in the middle of the road. The human was shocked and freaked out the moment she woke up, asking where she was and who is the human? She said her name was Tanya, that she was in New York City and that she had found her on her way home in the middle of a holed road and that it's weird she is alive and had no scratches
"How is that even possible?!"
"Got lucky I guess"
She was thankful that she was able to pull off Earth language though with a little accent but whatever! It's then that she understands that once again, she lost and got propulsed here, she pouts at the thought and so, she created a false identity and called herself Lucy Lagos: that she was lost, running away from home and all other bullshits; some of it was true of course but Tanya did not need to know that. The human - bless her naive and kind heart - took her in, saying that yes, she could stay as long as she wants and from then on, they were roommates.
She was living with Tanya for a few days before learning that planets were destroyed and the universe even trembled before her daddy's power and she grinned. The neighbors loved her immediately and she found small jobs there and there. Yes, for others, it is weird to see a such a lively and full of life démon like her because she is smiling all the time, she loves helping others that at some point, people questioned if she was not a trade with Gabriel Heart - the Paradise's monarche's daughter - since the woman was cold as fuck for an Angel. It's a very common joke in Hell.
She hadn't stayed that long in a place before she lands on Earth and meets a lot of people, along with demons and angels alike, either to take souls, to bless them or to collect them. She had even used her powers at some point because of some wild and stupids dudes who do not know the meaning of consent or demons who crossed lines and sometimes angels who took themselves for God or whatever Deity it is they're believing in. It is fun to meet new people, save people, kill people and still being able to mingle, people not knowing who she really is. It's rare for her mochha eyes to shift red nowadays and it pleases her very much.
But then, all of sudden, she meets Gaby Sato by literally crashing into her making both of them fall on the ground. She had heard of Gaby, that she is a blonde and cold woman who isn't much into expressions and hates happy and lively people... Oh and she hates it when people touch her without her permission, Katie was firm on that statement and like the idiot that she is, she just did it! And she is literally at Gaby's top list of people she hates! What an idiot! She kinda panicked when she heard Katie squeaking out a "Gaby!" and was so afraid, ready to apologize but the moment she opened her eyes, she found the most and precious blue gems she had ever seen and she did see a lot of things and also, instead of the angry face she was dreading so much, she found a bewildered or a awed one making her grin, she is so pretty! The woman did not answer, eyes still over her and her grin softened into a smile - she felt the woman's grip on her waist tightening - and then they end up in a staring contest until Tanya bodily stood her up by pulling at her arms making her squeak at the sudden action and due to the squeak, Tanya suddenly let her arm down and she fell down on Gaby's lap
"Tanya!" she squeaked out then she turns toward Gaby who still looked weirdly at her "Gosh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you or barrel into you or something like that! Ha ha wow, Hell I'm just so -"
"It's okay," said Gaby and if she wasn't sitting, Lucifer's legs would have given up on her because fuck, her voice... Her face is now stoic though and she found her so cool... So... So...
"... So handsome" she whispered in awe and Gaby blinked, surprised and confused
"Pardon me?" and just like that, Lucifer shoot up to her feet, laughing nervously as she watched Gaby standing up with grace. Damn.
"God, it's a surprise she hadn't screamed at you" pointed out Katie and she yelped, somehow forgetting that they were there at all "I touched her by accident once and she scolded me for hours about personal space and some shits..." muttered Katie and Lucy looked at her puzzled.
"She did not touch me," said Gaby and Lucy turned to find her frowning as she looked at Katie then looked down on her... down. Why is she so damn tall?! Sweet devil, this woman could be the death of her, what is happening to her in the first place?! "she stumbles into me"
"That's somehow worse!"
"Do you really want her to berate Lucy that bad?" Frowned Tanya with a huff
"Of course not..."
"You're so tall," she blurted out and she is sure that a smile was trying to find place on the other's face making her flush "I mean...um...you're..."
"I know that and you're short" she said with a nod and then Tanya chuckled while Katie outright laughed and she pouted, stomping her foot
"Hey! I am not short!"
"Yes you are, now I have to go. It was good to meet you... Lucy was it?"
"Yeah," said misviciously Katie, wiggling her eyebrows "that's her name"
"She is my roommate, moved three months ago" adds Tanya and Gaby looked weirdly at her again
"Great" she said with a solemn nod and Lucy was so distracted by everything about her, she is fucking mesmerizing! "welcome to the neighborhood Lucy, see you around"
"Bye bye" waved Katie and just like that, the two of them left like none of the last events has happened and they were all moving on with their life. Wow, what just happened?
She had felt Tanya's eyes on her all the way home but did her best to ignore it even if it was hard since her gaze is burning hole in her head. Tanya - thankfully - didn't wait long and right after they made it to the house, she sat her down so they could "talk"
"What?" said timidly Lucy, looking away from Tanya's eyes, face burning
"Don't 'what' me! What was that? And why are you so red?"
"I...no I'm not red! And...and nothing happened... I just..." she said fiddling with her hands, Demons! She had never felt like this before and with Tanya's burning gaze... "Devil! I don't know! Is she a witch? Because she sure as fuck hypnotized me and I'm a master in that field! She was just... She was just... Just, I dunno okay. It's like something in me just clicked and was like...okay Luci-ah your life is now complete and..." Her rambling was stopped by Tanya's laugh, the latter is looking weirdly at her while she laughed and now she felt confused and embarrassed at the same time "Tanya stop!" that apparently just spurred Tanya on as she laughed harder.
Tanya loves this girl so much, she is so lively, happy and always smiling but then she loves it more when she is rambling like this! She rambles about random things usually and her accent and wording is so weird but like she said, she loves it and she loves it more now that she is rambling about a crush...even if it's Sato out of all the people but still a crush!
"Oh honey, it's okay, you're just having a crush!" she laughed and Lucy frowned deeply, looking at Tanya puzzled. What now?
The fuck is a crush?! And Tanya laughed more at her facial expression, this is getting interesting.
