The Train There

Your dream was very scattered compared to past dreams. At first you saw Sirius Black and Remus sitting together in a house decorated with green and silver colors, which quickly turned into Fred and George turning into animagi, which turned into Lyra looking very hurt and worn out in the middle of the forest. You saw many other things on top of that, however when you woke up that was all you remembered. Your hip hurt tremendously, and you hadn't felt like you had the energy to get up so you stayed in bed and read Lyra’s book. It opened to a chapter automatically, which had oddly been about spirit signaling. Spirit signaling is basically when you signal a spirit from the dead to appear as a ghost, and this can work anywhere including Hogwarts. It also had part of a variation to the spell, but some of the page was ripped off so you had no clue about it. You knew something bad could happen, but curiosity never killed the cat and you decided to try it. You attempted to signal Regulus, for whatever reason. Probably because he seems to be the easiest to talk to. You started envisioning a portal and Regulus stepping out of it just like the book mentioned. You opened your eyes to see a very lively looking Regulus Black looking right at you on your spot on the bed. He didn't say anything but when the door had been knocked on with Remus’s now familiar voice, he disappeared. “Can I come in? I’d just like to have a little chat with you.” he said “Sure, come on in,” you replied in your Skyler voice. Just as the door closed Remus had put a silencing charm on the room then turned around to you. “Something feels off about the moon.. Do you feel it?” he asked while trying his best to hide his concern. “Yeah, I’ve noticed. Feels, well-like the moon’s pull is stronger now or something. Kinda hard to explain though,” “Exactly! Like it’s just… more.” Remus had said. He had looked about as bad as you usually do, with dark circles under your eyes and a much paler than usual complexion. Your face went from usually bright with color and laughter to cold and angry with harsh tones of winter seeping through. You could tell this moon in particular was taking a lot from the both of you, and was going to be a hard one to shake off.

You went back down for lunch and just being down there with the cacophony of all of the miscellaneous sounds you had a booming headache. The twins may have picked up on it, and you later heard them talking about the next phase of becoming animagi. You feel parts of your body ache and other parts feel like it was the wolf trying to claw its way out. You haven't eaten much for numerous reasons- the moon arriving, you not feeling well from it, or not being downstairs to get food- but you knew the next day when you were being aggravated at the sound of a pen drop, something about this moon was different, but you didn't know not how nor why. You had taken to teleporting to the house in the forest and leaving a note for anyone who wondered where you were. You went for the quiet, the calmness, the peace. You could tune everything out if you wanted to, and so you did. You felt much better when you went back to the Leaky Cauldron for lunch, though felt worse coming into the night. That morning the twins came in very peacefully compared to the rest of their lives, and carefully woke you up to let you know that you all had to leave for the train in 30 minutes. You lazily got out of bed, and continued by brushing your hair and getting a pair of your favorite jeans and a jumper. You went down for breakfast and Remus had told you that the both of you would be arriving sooner to keep from rising suspicion. You had transformed into your fox form, said your goodbyes to Castor, and you had parted your ways. You both got on the train earlier to find a compartment and be able to just rest as tonight was the first full moon of the year. Remus found a compartment, and you saw Scarlette, so you followed her to a compartment with Violet, Ava, and soon to be the twins. You didn't tell them, but you had a feeling that Scarlette already had an idea that you were Cerise.

The girls were catching up and discussing drama like who likes who and whatnot, and the twins were planning their elaborate pranks when all of the sudden there was a dense change in magic around you. The window which had once showed gorgeous Scotland scenery, now blurred from frost. The train had come to a stop, and everything had abruptly gotten maliciously cold. You found yourself shivering in George’s lap, and he put his robe over you to try to keep you warm. You felt like you were becoming ice, on the inside and out. Before you knew it a hooded figure entered the compartment and you can't remember anything after. You wake up with the train moving again, and a heating charm produced by many attempting to warm your numbingly cold body. “Oh, poor thing! I wonder where she came from? I didn't think we could bring foxes…” you heard Ava saying. “I’m not sure, but-hey speak of the devil!” George said as you curled up in his lap staring into his brown eyes. “Gave us a fright there, glad Scarlette produced a patronus! Are you doing alright?” George said to which you just nuzzled against his arm which had started petting you.

You had gone to the shack early to familiarize yourself with it, and Remus had gone to the feast then stayed in his office with many charms in place for the transformation. You could already tell that it was going to be the toughest yet, when you felt electricity running through your spine with the beginning of the transformation. You felt your bones and skin tug and pull all around. And then from there, it was the wolf.
