Impeccable,
an ugly mangle
of hurt ego and misconceptions
Complicated, a mistaken notion
bridges burnt before they could be treaded on!
Fate, the master puppeteer,
an eternal prankster
crossed two souls amidst the stars,
entwined their stories, named love their path!
Mockery was what it was to be
only it did not remain such
for drowning the stars are oceans too deep,
and drowned in the stars is their story!
Ebony tresses,
obsidian eyes,
pale pink lips pulled in a line
brows furrowed in a frown,
a face as pale as a moonstone.
nimble fingers clutch the book,
caressing the pages as he looks,
akin to stumbling across,
a puzzle just as he himself was!
Untamed, inky locks
grey eyes on a bespectacled visage
an aura of dominance,
his face radiated confidence.
Boisterous and loud,
a bragging mouth,
invasion to my silent world
yet he felt like freedom.
But shallow, dilapidated paths,
slurred words, bruises and scars
had long ago taught
crawling mongrels don't aim for the stars!
And so I quelled whatever it was,
unaware of what lay ahead,
unaware of who he actually was,
unaware our story was written in the stars!
