Chapter 1
A series of shouting and degrading was Severina’s earliest memory. Her father screamed at her mother for being a witch and giving birth to another girl freak.
She went out of that horrid place that day and that was when she first met Lily. The most beautiful little girl she has ever met, her red hair looked like fire under the rays of the sun, her freckled face looked like stars scattered across space and her dress flowed with the wind, like an angel she was, and Severina was mesmerized and jealous at her at the same time.
Compared to the majestic human being in Infront of her, Severina looked like a…. well, her hair was short and her clothes and nose were too big for her. Lily at first mistook her for a boy. But how can she blame her for that, Severina was just simply plain and unattractive—at least to what Black had described her as.
The day she first met Potter, she thought what a handsome boy he was. so full of life and love, and he captured Severina’s heart, but he had only eyes for Severina’s best friend, Lily—figures, who wouldn’t notice such beauty, especially when next to Severina.
Hearing from the boy that the Slytherins are the worst house made her sad, and angry, after all, her mother was from the snakes. She disagreed with him and the boy did not like being defied, thus starting their rivalry
Every day was hell. For
being too ugly, too Slytherin, too half-blood, too dark, too gloomy, and whatever flaws they find in her, she was bullied from all houses. But She didn’t care because she had Lily who was her only friend. And despite it all, she still likes James as well. She doesn’t understand it at all too well herself. Although he was a bully, narcissist, and arrogant toe-rag, he was still a Gryffindor. He helps people because of his righteous attitude, he is chivalrous and charming and smart when he wants to be, and a lot of other things.
But she had the fallout with Lily and Black trying to kill her and Potter saving her. Now she feels somewhat empty, that her friendship with Lily just ends after one insult even after Severina’s constant apologies. She didn’t think that the Marauders actually want her dead, she always thought it was just bullying, and now she is also in debt with Potter, who can’t even look her in the eye after the incident, obviously not wanting to do anything with her anymore, at least they stop their bullying.
But now she has nothing, no James or Lily, just an empty void, someone who fades in the background as time goes by, but that’s what she wanted, wasn’t it?
