Diagon Ally
Previously: "We're coming, we're coming."
Knowing what was about to be shown, Draco gives Hadrian a teasing look.
Hadrian just rolls his eyes. "He definitely forgot what else happened that day." He thinks as he internally chuckles.
Draco and Hadrian dragged their parents around Diagon Ally. Despite the fact that they've been here many times, it was much different since they're going to Hogwarts.
Many people looked amused.
Daphne cooed at the boy's as she pulled their cheeks. "You two use to look so nice. What happened?"
"We could ask the same question to you." Draco said smirking while Hadrian snorted. Daphne hit both of them in the arm, "Ow! Why would you do that? I didn't say anything." Hadrian asked as he glared at Daphne.
Daphne rolled her eyes and turned back to the screen, not caring.
Hadrian gave Draco a smirk before he leaned into Daphne's ear. "I don't think he would be very happy to hear about this. He'd be very disappointed."
Hadrian's smirk got bigger when he saw how Daphne started to fidget before turning to him and apologizing.
"Why don't you boys go get your books while we get your robes." Narcissa suggested. The boys nodded and did as told.
Upon entering the book shop, Draco turned to Hadrian. "I get the fun books, you get the school books?"
Hadrian agreed with a nod as he set off in the direction of Hogwarts books.
Draco turned to Hadrian. Smiling weirdly. Hadrian and Daphne wrinkled their nose. "Please don't make that face." Daphne said before covering her eyes. Hadrian snorted. "You look like Albert."
Draco gasped, "I do not. Daphne! Tell him I don't look like Albert."
Everyone could hear their conversation but only one person actually asked what was going on.
"Uh— who's Albert?" Blaise asked.
Daphne and Hadrian turned to Blaise, ignoring Draco who was starting to cry and checking his pocket mirror.
"The Malfoys have peacocks at their manor, the peacocks even have their own special garden." Daphne said to give background information.
"Albert is this really dumb peacock. He can't do much by himself. He somehow gets inside the manor and runs into all the walls. He especially likes trying to peck the house elfs. Anytime he actually does manage to peck a house elf, he gets this weird wide grin. Draco once described it as absolutely hideous." Hadrian said, grinning at his last sentence before turning back to Draco, who looked like he was having a mental breakdown.
"You're very cruel, Hadrian." Tracey Davis said. She had figured out that the only reason Hadrian said Draco looked like Albert was to cause him a mental breakdown.
She found it very amusing.
Hadrian chuckled. "I know." He said before turning back to the screen.
Hadrian had a few books in his hand when someone suddenly bumped into him. The person, and all of his books, fell to the ground.
Hadrian looked at his books before looking back at the person. Sighing.
"Are you alright? Do you need help?" Hadrian asked, holding out his hand.
The person took his hand and stood up, reveling Theo Nott.
Theo started at Hadrian for a minute before blinking. "I'm fine, thank you. Are you okay? Sorry about bumping into you."
Daphne and Draco turned to Hadrian, wiggling their eyebrows.
Theo, who was sitting next to Blaise and Tracy, turned his head to ignore their looks. When he still felt his eyes on him, he looked back at them. "It's not like that." He whispered but they clearly didn't believe him.
Hadrian smiled, "It's fine." Hadrian was about to bend down and get his books but Theo had already beaten him to it. "You didn't have to." Hadrian said as he took his books from Theo. "It was my fault they fell."
Hadrian was about to say something but he heard Draco call his name. "Oh, that's my cousin. You'll be at Hogwarts, right?" He asked.
Theo nodded, dumbly. Hadrian smirked. "Well then, I'll see you in Slytherin."
Hadrian walked past a confused Theo.
"How did he know that I was going to be in Slytherin?" Theo muttered to himself, his face slightly red.
Hadrian groans when he hears a few girls giggling. "It's not like that." He mutters as he crosses his arms.
Draco and Hadrian met outside of the book store.
Draco narrowed his eyes. "You look weird."
Many people snorted.
Hadrian raised his eyebrows. "Weird?"
"Yeah. Weird." Draco said before he started to scrutinize Hadrian more.
Draco's eyes widen, it almost comical. "Are you happy?" Draco asked sounding as if he thought the idea was absurd.
Hadrian frowned, "What?" He asked confused.
"No one other than our family can make you happy. You don'teven smile aroundme that much." Draco said.
Hadrian shrugged, "What's your point?"
"You're body isn't tense. You're calm. The corners of your mouth are raised meaning you just got done genuinely smiling. That isn't normal. Especially not in public or around anyone who isn't family." Draco pointed out, looking slightly frazzled.
Hadrian rolled his eyes, "You're overreacting."
Hadrian then walked off in the direction their parents said to meet at, Draco following him from behind. "No, I am not. We both know I'm not. What happened in that book shop?" Draco questioned.
Hadrian didn't answer. And so Draco started guessing.
"Did you find a book on curses? On how to discreetly murder someone? Did you find a book about poison? Or maybe on snakes? You love snakes." Draco listed but still didn't get a reaction from Hadrian.
Draco went through a few more guesses before groaning. "What the hell did you do? Meet someone?" Draco said, not actually believing it until he saw how Hadrian paused in his step for a moment.
Draco's eyes widen. "You did meet someone."
Hadrian sighed. "Why is it a big deal?" Draco rolled his eyes, "You know why. Now tell me, how cute was he? My future brother in law needs to live up to the Malfoy standards."
Many people across the theater started laughing, they laughed even harder when they realized Draco was serious.
Hadrian glared at Draco who just chuckled.
But Draco stopped when Hadrian started chuckling. Draco eyed Hadrian, weary and confused.
"Who did you meet?" Hadrian asked as he turned around to look at Draco.
Draco looked at him confused, "What? I didn't meet anyone. Why are you asking?"
Hadrian gave Draco a deadpan look. "We both know you only try and know other people's business when you don't want someone knowing yours. Since you came out the book shop, I can tell that your mind had wandered off seven times. That's more then when you let your mind wander off about quiddich. Ergo, you met someone. They confuse and interest you. Knowing you, they're probably blond."
Draco grumbled before sighing. "I won't ask any more questions, if you don't."
Hadrian shrugged before shaking Draco's hand.
The people in the shadows laughed amused.
"Do you think they would be okay with us setting up an arrangement?"
"No, they'd probably get embarrassed."
"That's more reason to do it."
"Did you boys have a good day?" Bellatrix asked.
Draco and Hadrian shared a look, one that said:"They don't need to know." before turning to their parents and smiling at them. "Yes, it was fun." "Can we come back again?"
"Only if you behave." Tom said as he lead the boy's up the stairs. "And you first need to go to bed."
