Growing Up

The screen turned on again, showing a little boy who seemed to be around five.

He would have been a cute toddler if it wasn't for his apperance. His red hair was a mess, it almost looked like a lions mane. Uncontrollable and wild.

He had dirt all over him. This little boy wasAlbus Potter, the famous "Boy who lived."

Many purebloods and a few halfbloods frown at his appearance. Their parents would have murdered them if they ever looked like that. It's disgraceful.

You would think that the famous child would be sweet but he was the exact opposite. Albus was spoiled and rotten. Although that was because of his parents, Lily and James Potter. Two people who were dragging the Potter name through the mud and destroying it.

The Potter's glare at the screen but before anything can be said, the screen continued playing.

Albus Potter was currently glaring at his personal house elf, Mitpy. "Mini Master needs to clean up, Master looks gross! Mitpy won't tell Mini Master again!" Mitpy said with a glare. She hated taking care of Mini Master. He never listened and refused to do anything.

Albus rolled his eyes, he was a delight. That stupid house elf just had issues.

Albus huffed and crossed his arms. "No, Idon't want to. Now go make me something to eat! I'm hungry." He ordered, expecting the house elf to follow his orders. The last time the stupid creature didn't, it got punished.

Albus chuckled when he thought of the punishments he'd give the stupid house elfs.

Mitpy glared at Albus one last time before popping away, muttering something along the lines of "mini baboon" and "dirty wizards"

A lot of people in the audience laughed at Mitpy.

Although, Lily frowned. She needs to dispose of that house elf when she gets back.

Albus rolled his eyes and started walking to his play room. He wanted a bigger one but his parents said he didn't need it. No matter how much he cried they wouldn't agree. Albus scoffed. They would rather use the big rooms for their belongings.

When he walked in the room he scowled. Didn't he tell his mother to get rid of that ugly thing? Why can she never do anything correctly. She's so stupid.

"Albus!" Lily says, looking scandalized. Albus rolls his eyes before giving her a sad pout. "It's not my fault you didn't follow my directions. I was very upset." Lily sighs before smiling at her son and pinching his cheeks. "That's okay baby."

A few kids start sweating. "How can he talk to his mother like that?"

Albus forced tears to stream down his cheeks and took a deep breath before shouting. "MUUMMM!"

Lily and James are seen running into the room, both looking extremely worried. "What's wrong baby?" Lily asked. "Are you hurt?" James asked.

Albus cried more and shook his head. "Why is that still there! It's ugly and Idon't like it." He said as pointed to the baby crib and toy chest. Albus had no idea who it belonged to. He was always told not to touch it. He agreed but as time passed he got more curious.

He wanted whatever was in that toy chest.

A few days ago he tried to open it when he thought his parents were sleeping. Mitpy saw him and snitched to his parents.

When they said they were going to punish him, he started crying and said that if theydidn't want him to touch it then they should have gotten rid of it. He had expected it to be gone by now.

Lily and James looked at the baby crib and toy chest and sighed. "Do you remember your brother Harry?" James asked. Albus frowned in confusion before he got upset. "I don't have a brother!"

Lily crouched down and gently held her son's arms. "You had a younger twin brother. His name was Harry. He was really pretty, he had dark brown hair and green eyes. He was extremely kind and intelligent for a baby."

Lily chuckled before continuing. "He said his first word much sooner than you did. By the time you said your first word, he was running around the house and speaking in small sentences."

Albus frowned about the way his mother was talking about his supposed brother. His frowned deepened when he saw the happy reminiscent smile his father had.
"What happened to him?" He asked, hate in his tone that his parents didn't notice.

He hoped his younger brother was dead somewhere. He didn't need some pathetic little thing getting in his way or getting all his attention.

Sirius and Remus growled at the child on screen. "How dare thatthing say that about Harry?!" If they didn't care so much about seeing their godson again they would have thrown a killing curse at them.

Both Lily and James frowned. "I'm sure he doesn't mean that." They think to themselves. Despite giving Harry away, they did care for him and think about him over the years. (Read: They liked Harry now that they knew he was the real boy who lived.)

They were going to get Harry after this and they would be heart broken if the children didn't get along. (Read: They needed Harry to like them so he could bring them fame and it wouldn't happen if Albus was throwing a tantrum.)

While the Potter parents were being delusional, some of the audience was thinking about how disgusting Albus is. "Even at five years old, he was vile."

Mrs. Weasly scoffs at the look on some people's faces. "Why are they making such a big deal out of it? Children, siblings especially, always disagree with each other and say mean things they don't mean. It'll blow over." She thinks to herself, remembering the time when Bill and Charlie said they hated her and this family. They said they were leaving.

Molly chuckles. It wasn't that hard to make them come back home and apologize.

Lily and James' smile disappear. "We sent him away. We had to give you a lot of attention because of you being the Boy Who Lived and because of You-Know-Who. Harry is happily living with my sister."

Does that mean if he wasn't the boy who lived he wouldn't be getting any of their attention? Albushuffs, extremely upset by that idea. "Get rid of the stupid crib and toy box! I don't like it."

Lily and James sighed but did what their son said. There were times when they didn't like being reminded of the useless child.

Hadrian chuckles. Him? Useless?
His friends who know who he is also chuckle.

Lily, who some how hears them from across the room, turned to them and yelled "What's so funny!" That only made them laugh harder.

Once their laughter subsided, Hadrian answered. "I'm sure you'll find out later."

Lily glared at the boy before turning back to the screen.

After getting rid of the crib and toy chest, both Lily and James spent the rest of the day with Albus, playing and laughing as they ignored their responsibilities.

The pureblood parents frowned. "Yes it's good to spend time with your child but you should never put your job on hold. Especially if that job is what gives your family it's money."

Some light side members however, thought differently. "It's good to spend time with your child. Lily is an absolutely wonderful mother."
