Growing up
Everyone was quiet in anticipation, wondering what they'll be watching next.
The screen faded into a different surrounding. This was 4 Privet Drive in Little Whinging, Surrey. The place where the Potters dropped their son off three years ago.
Inside the house we see a little boy around the age of five. His brown hair was a little messy but it was easy to tame if he put in enough effort. His green eyes were mesmerizing to look at it. This was Harry Potter. The neighbors and people at school commonly referrer to him as "The Little Angel"
Many of the audience coo and aw at him.
"He really does look like an angel!" a Hufflepuff said with a beaming smile.
Hadrian's friends couldn't help but laugh, ignoring the way other people were looking at them weirdly.
In the shadows, the people hidden were having similar reactions.
"Hadrian? An angel?" All of them thought.
Hadrian, who knew what they were thinking, gave them an innocent smile.
The Little Angel was currently in his Aunt Petunia's backyard, looking at a pretty garden snake.
Lily let our a screech. "My son shouldn't be anywhere near those disgusting things!"
Many Slytherins (and Hufflepuffs who have Slytherin friends) glare at the women, making her immediately shut up.
"You're a really pretty snake." Harry said as he let the snake slither onto his hand. The snake let out a hiss in response, making Harry tilt his head. A moment passed before Harry smiles at the snake. "I'll see you later, Ms. Snake." Harry watched as Ms. Snake slithered off of his hand and disappeared into a bush.
A lot of people furrowed their brows at the weird interaction but chalked it up to a child's imagination.
"Harry, darling! It's time to come inside." Petunia yelled to her nephew. Harry smiled, he loved his Aunt Petunia. Harry quickly got up and ran inside. He didn't waste anytime in giving his aunt a big hug. But he pouted when he realized he wasn't tall enough to even reach her knees.
"Awww" many people think.
Hadrian's friends "Awww" out loud, enjoying the way Hadrian scowled at them.
Petunia chuckles. "Why don't you clean up? I'm sure your messy from being outside." Harry obediently nodded his head. He knew how important it was to be clean and have a good apperance.
"Wow. It looks like the Potters sent away the wrong child." A Ravenclaw halfblood said. The Ravenclaw blushed when people turned to them. "Did I say that outloud?" Many people nodded, too amused to say anything.
The Ravenclaw sunk in their chair at all the looks they were getting.
"Okay, Auntie!" Harry gave his aunt a smile before rushing into his room.
Many people gaped at the room. They all expected Harry to have a tiny room.
His Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon decided to give him their master bedroom. Theydidn't need all the space and wanted to give it to one of the children. Dudley, his cousin, didn't want it so they gave it Harry. Harry tried to decline but they wouldn't let him.
Harry paused when he entered his room. Something was off.
Many people raised their eyebrows. "What could be wrong? And how does he know somethings wrong? He's five."
Harry's room was always extremely neat. All his clothes were in the closet or his dresser and were organized by color and type. Red shirts, red pants, orange shirts, orange pants, etc. Harry's bed was made and all stuffed animals were stacked perfectly.
The people in the shadows smiled and laughed fondly, all of them knowing how Hadrian had to have things completely neat and perfect.
Harry had a bookshelf filled with mostly children's books but he also had a few dictionaries. He spent his weekend learned new words and using them in conversations with his aunt and uncle.
Fred and George simitamously let out a snort. "So he's always wanted to learn more. How is he not in Ravenclaw?"
All of Harry's toys were placed in his chest. If they didn't fit in the chest then they would go on the top shelf on the bookshelf.
Harry looked around the room trying to find what was out of place. His eyes zeroed in on one of the stuffed animals on his bed. It was facing the left.
A lot of people blinked owlishly. "What?" They all think dumbfounded.
Draco let out a loud undignified snort at the looks on their faces.
Harry frowned. "Dudley must have been in here." He thinks before fixing the stuffed animal and heading to the bathroom.
After exiting the bathroom he looked at the clock. Aunt Petunia should be cooking dinner and Uncle Vernon will be home in half an hour.
Harry headed downstairs to the kitchen to see, as expected, his aunt cooking dinner. Harry tugged on her dress. When she looked down he gave her a smile. "Do you need any help Aunt Petunia?"
Petunia smiles at the child, he was always so thoughtful. "No dear. I'm fine, thank you. Why don't you go up to the playroom and spend time with Dudley. I'll call when dinner is done."
Harry gave his aunt a beaming smile. "If you're sure, Aunt Petunia." He gave his aunt a hug before going back upstairs.
Harry had the bigger room so Dudley and him use to play in there. That stopped when they were three because Harry got upset at how messy his room would look afterwards. So Aunt Petunia cleaned out the huge attic and Uncle Vernon made into into a playroom.
The entire floor had carpet covering it. There were multiple chests for toys. A bookshelf for children's books and another for coloring books. There were small tables, chairs, and bean bags. They even had a mini television.
Albus scowled when he realized his squib twin had a bigger playroom than he did. His scowl deepend when he realized it was much better than his.
Hadrian, who saw his scowl, smirked.
Entering the playroom, he saw Dudly sitting on the carpet with an action figure in his hand. "Hey, Dudley!" Harry said with a bright smile as he waved his hand.
Dudley looked at his cousin. "Are you going to keep playing nice?" He asks with a head tilt.
Lily glared at the boy. "How dare he say that to my child! Of course Petunia would let her son bully mine."
Harry's bright smile vanished and he laughed. "If it suits me then yes."
Lily, along with everyone else in the theater, froze.
A man in the shadows smirked. "This will be fun." He thinks.
Harry learned from a young age thatit's easier to get what he wants if he plays the sweet and innocent little boy who got left behind by his parents.
It's not his fault people feel the need to make him happy whenever he gives them a sad look.
Many Slytherins let out a cackle.
It always amazed him how most other children could see through his act but the adults can't. He supposes it must be because adults underestimate children and don't think they can do much.
Many of the Hufflepuffs nod in agreement. They are often underestimated and called the "weakest" house or the "most useless"
Harry gave Dudley a smile. "What are you doing? Can I join?" Dudly nodded his head, handing Harry another action figure. Harry took the action figure and sat on the carpet across from Dudley.
After an hour of playing Aunt Petunia called them downstairs. Dudly immediately ran downstairs. Harry chuckles as he watches him waddle down the stairs. Harry took the action figures and placed them neatly in a toy chest. Before going downstairs, he put on a bright smile.
Many people shiver at how quickly he can do it and at how real it looks. "He's five. Why can he do that?"
When Harry finally came downstairs and went into the dining room he saw everyone else at the table. "Sorry. I had to put the toys away." Harry gives them a sheepish smile before sitting at the table. "Hello, Uncle Vernon! How was work?" He asked as he grabbed the mashed potatoes and put them on his plate.
Harry nodded along to his Uncle as he ate his food, adding input when it was deemed necessary. "I'm glad you had a productive day, Uncle Vernon." Harry said before turning to his aunt. He started talking to his aunt about the garden contest coming up next week.
Harry inwardly smirked, charming adult's is pretty easy.
Dumbledore paled at that. Harry sounded so much like him. He inwardly smiled when he realized it still wasn't too late. Harry was still at the Durselys. He and the Potters can swoop in and show him the magical world. Harry will be grateful and will feel the need do whatever they want. Especially if he wants the approval of his parents.
Everyone else stared at the screen in shock.
Their shock was interrupted by laughing and they all turned to the noise.
Hadrian covered his mouth, "I'm sorry. That was very rude of me." He said not sounding apologetic at all.
"What's so funny?" James demanded with a glare. That almost made Hadrian laugh more. "He looks extremely constipated." The Slytherins must of had the same thought because he heard some chuckles from behind him.
Hadrian gave James a smirk. "It looks as if the real Boy Who Lived is a Slytherin." Hadrian laughed again when James' face turned red. "How dare you! My son would never be a slimy snake!"
Lily noddeed as she got up out of her seat. "Harry is the Boy Who Lived, he would never be an evil Slytherin like you."
This only made Hadrian laugh harder. "If only you knew" He thinks.
"Did you not see what he did? You must be blind or just really ignorant." Draco said, looking at the Potters as if they were disgusting bugs not worth his time.
Daphne gives them a wicked smirk. "How can you say he isn't a Slytherin? You didn't raise him. All becuase you were too stupid and too busy up Dumbledore's stinky mummified ass."
Dumbledore glared at the girl but she only laughed.
The Trio's fun was sadly interrupted when the screen lit up, signaling it was time for the next part to play.
