Don't worry, Darling. We're all here for you.

Over the next few days, everything was a blur.

As much as he had wanted to see Sirius, who was apparently his dad, he had been busy getting interrogated and tried by the Wizengamot. Professor Lupin, who was his actual godfather, had been with his dad so Harry hadn't seen him either.

At least he had his best friends to help him through it, though. Ron and Hermione stuck by his side, to the point that they all stayed in the common room instead of going to their dorms. Others helped Harry through it as well. Fred and George constantly pulled him into a side-hug whenever they saw him. Neville, like the rest of the school, had heard about what had happened and had hesitantly reassured Harry that he was there for him as he knew what it was like to have a parent just out of reach. Seamus and Dean would bring his and Ron's things down for them and would take things back up for them without question. The one person who surprised him was Ginny. She seemed to know just what to do. Without asking, she put enough food on his plate that he could stomach but not too much that he wouldn't be able to eat it- years living with the Dursleys had affected him. She knew just when he needed a hug and always gave him one. There were many more things that Harry was grateful for but it would take forever to name them all.

He hated the feeling of going to classes when his world had just been shattered. How was he supposed to cast a spell when he was more concerned about who he was going to be spending his summer with? If something went wrong, Harry's father might be sent back to Azkaban. The man was the only link to his other parents.

He only had a few days left until they left Hogwarts for the summer and Harry's mind was a mess. He knew what would happen if he went back to the Dursleys after what he did with Marge. It was times like this that he wished they didn't know about the no-magic rule. He knew he shouldn't have let his anger get the better of him but he couldn't find it in himself to regret his actions. She had blown up to match her ego.

A few days before the end of term, he was approached by Professor McGonagall.

"Mr-...Harry, a word please," she asked in a kind voice. Harry raised an eyebrow but the three friends stood from the corner couch that they had recently claimed for themselves. "Just Harry, Miss Granger and Mr Weasley." Harry looked at his friends with worry but they looked just as concerned. Reluctantly, Harry followed his Head of House and the Vice Principal out. He knew this was probably about Sirius. If it wasn't, then he was in trouble.

They walked to her office before she spoke again. "Harry, I need to talk to you about your living arrangements for this summer. As you know, your father is in Ministry captivity until his trial, which won't take place for a few weeks. I have been reliably informed that the relatives you have been living with leave much to desire in terms of caring for you. Unfortunately, Remus, your godfather, is busy making sure that Sirius gets acquitted so you can't live with him. This leaves me, as your godmother, to take you in until your father can. I trust that is okay with you?" she asked warily, though they both knew he didn't have many other options.

"I don't have to go back to the Dursleys?" Harry asked hopefully. He couldn't believe his ears. He finally didn't have to go back!

McGonagall shook her head sadly, "no, Lad. You don't. If I had my way you would never have been put with them in the first place. I told Albus that they were the worst kind of muggles but does he listen to me? No.He knows everything, as always.Typical." The usually stern woman grumbled as Harry tried to hold back tears of happiness at the revelation. "Anyway, you will be staying at Hogwarts when everyone else leaves for the train because this is where I live for most of my summer. I do leave for two weeks in the middle of the holiday but I'm hoping that Sirius will be able to take custody of you then so that you can see each other before you have to come back for your fourth year. You can't stay in your current dorm room during the summer because it will need to be cleaned and ready for the younger years. However, you can stay in a room in my quarters or a room in Remus' quarters, as he has offered. All teachers have a guest room in their private rooms for emergencies or family situations so you don't have to worry about imposing. You will have to follow the school rules, such as the curfew but you can spend it however you want. I'd suggest doing homework and studying but I'm not naïve enough to think that you will. I know most teenagers want to spend their summer having fun and relaxing, which is reasonable. If you want to visit a friend you will have to ask me for permission. You also can't bother any of the other professors. This is their break as well and most like to spend it well away from teenagers."

Harry nodded his head, relieved. "I understand, Professor. I won't cause trouble or be a bother. I'm just grateful that I don't have to go back there."

Professor McGonagall it her lip before saying, "you can call me Minerva, or Minnie if you must. I am your Godmother after all. Your fathers and their friends clearly had no problem doing it during their school years." Harry's surprise must have shown because she snorted. "Madam Pomfrey wants to see you in her office for a medical check up. Sirius, Remus, Madam Pomphrey and I are worried that you have lasting damage due to your relatives mistreatment, whether physical or mental. We can go now, if you want." Harry swallowed down his anxiety and nodded without looking her in the eye.

After two hours, lots of potions and important conversations, Harry was given permission to go back to his dorm. He wanted to be upset about the exams and unpleasant discussions but so many good things happened that he couldn't. He learnt about Sirius' situation and what would happen in the trial. He got many thing fixed, including his eyesight. He no longer needed to wear his glasses and everything was much clearer.

For the first time since he started Hogwarts, he was excited about his summer.
