I think not buckaroo
There was not much to unpack. I didn't bring a lot. Just a few basic clothes and random decorations, my mom gave me some money to shop with and the only thing I wanted was decorations and another journal. I don’t know where I’m going to hide my journal, probably just in my closet for now or under my pillow. I started to work at a very slow pace. I didn’t want to do this. Honestly, I want classes to hurry up and start. I know that is all I am going to be thinking about and barely get any sleep. There’s so much to stress over with this like the people, the walk distance, the classes, and the people. Like the people will ruin my happiness I can already predict this bull. I’m gonna finish this a bit quicker so I don’t have to be stuck in a conversation with my roommates
I just realized I don’t think I remember where his dorm is…
Oh my gosh, I remember what direction he walked out of and I know it’s the right side
Oh actually the names are on the door I'm sure, I'm so dumb anyways I walk over to the right side looking for his name. His door is at the end if you walk from the stairs but from my room, it’s like two steps (not literally)
I knock on his door waiting for someone to hurry up and open the door. Soon Barty opens the door, I think he is cool, he is kinda strange but he isn’t rude to me. Also, he hasn’t made any slick comments that can get him on my list. Yes I have a list but it’s very secretive
“Hey, Sarai, Reg is in the shower because I accidentally spilled a drink on him. Wanna help me finish this puzzle? I don’t know how it got in my suitcase but it did and I’m bored.”
“Yeah sure oooh it’s a dragon.”
I help him with his puzzle because I honestly have nothing to do and it’s a dragon and I like dragons. Although out of all mythical creatures phoenix is the coolest one in my opinion I never was a unicorn girl. I was more into phoenixes because I’m cool
We were almost done with the puzzle when the rat came, luckily he didn’t seem to have too much attitude right now
“Hey, Reggie Veggie!” I know I probably just made him mad for no reason but his name has so many nickname possibilities
“I’m surprised you finished so quickly.”
“I didn't want to get bullied by you and anyways I only had one suitcase and a bag.”
“Why wouldn't you bring a lot? We will be here for the rest of the year…?”
“I brought my whole closet what do you mean?”
“Oh, so your broke.”
“Yes isn't obvious from my clothes.”
“Yeah but you seem like you chose to look like that. You probably do, I'm sure you need a lot of money to have style. Ever heard of thrifting?”
“Yes is there a problem with liking sweaters and long skirts you rat?”
“Pretty much yeah.”
“Are you calling me ugly?”
“Not right now”

“You were simply not taught right. No respect towards women.”
“Mhm where I'm from, women aren't respected.”
“Oh, so you're from 92% of the world?”
“Just a part of it, yes now hush with your nonsense it's study time.”
Barty got into the conversation
“Wait, I'm sorry we only just got accepted, why are you studying?” He asks
“Mother says to start early or your going to be late.”
“Your mom is very..umm what's the word?” I asked
“Strict,” Reggie replied
“Yes no offense but..anyways ill actually study with you because I don't know if what I was taught from my previous school is behind or ahead.”
“Okay. Barty at least 20 minutes of studying for you. That's all I’m suggesting.”
“Uck fine but for sure I'm not going to understand this,” Barty said
Anyways I started to read the science for starters in Hogwarts which I was dreading the most to read out of all the subjects. It's honestly so boring even when I do understand it. I'm smart enough to maintain an A- in science but I have to try. Also, I don't know why but when you pick your core classes is tomorrow because there was an issue you usually do after you get in and I don't know if I want to pick honors science or not. I'm also aware if I do you get more privileges and are more likely to be chosen as a prefect here. Which I need because colleges are going to be looking at that and especially if I'm in Hogwarts I heard that they look all the way down to your first year if you go to prestigious schools like Hogwarts. The fact I'm worrying about college when I'm 11.
“What are you doing?” a stupid irritating voice interrupts my thoughts and of course, the voice belongs to Regulus Black
“Thinking, stop speaking” I reply very annoyed
“Okay but what?”
“What, what?”
“What were you thinking about Orla?”
“Oh umm, science then picking the honors or not then prefect then college then about how they look at your record from 1st year to 7th year, and then college again.”
“Are you picking all the honors?”
“I'm debating on it, I'm not convinced to do science honors. It just depends.”
“ I'm doing all of them. I don't like science at all though.”
“It makes me have to try and I hate trying for school. What about your Barty? Are you doing any honors?!” I asked him
“Uhh I mean my father wants me to do it but ill probably only sign up for science because it's easy for me.”
“Literally hate you?” I said to Barty
“Isn't ela and social studies easy too though?” Regulus says
“Facts twin.” Regulus gave me a rude look after my comment but it's fine
“No, because it's too boring like literally, we are learning the same thing in ela.” Barty says truthfully
“Then do you know the difference between their, there, and they’re?” Again why does Regulus have to bully him
“Umm there spelled with an I is yourself? I don't know, shut up.”
“ I don't even know what a verb is so it's fine but still I always have a 100% in every ela class it's an easy A,” I said I did sound like I was posh but it's fine
“No, because that's sad Orla.”
“Sarai.”
“Mhm get back to studying now people,” Regulus commanded like he was our dad or something
~30 minutes later~
Barty did give up like 20 minutes ago but at least he did something. Science was boring as usual and I'm not too behind on the criteria only just on one topic maybe but it's fine. It seemed easy to know. I was actually getting hungry now but I'm not gonna eat till breakfast tomorrow morning. I'm going to go back to my room in a second. I started packing my things but I could-
“Excuse me? What are you doing Orla?”
“Looking for my glasses case I'm pretty sure I put it somew-”
“No if you do not sit back down I swear.”
“Huh? You swear what?”
“I swear I'm yanking you right back down.”
“Literally why I've been here for more than half a hour. Also it's 9:30?”
“Do you have bedtime at 9:30?”
“No, but I want to take a shower.”
“You could do that in the morning.”
“When all of my roommates going to? No, I think not buckaroo.”
“Can't you go later in the day then all we've done was study.”
“No I actually really am tired but we can hangout after classes and I'm sure we all would at least have one class together.”
“Yeah true since we are all in the same year and house.”
“I’ll see you in the morning then.”
