They reached their destination at the great hall, everyone was already there once they got there. Sarai and Regulus were standing together in the back with Evan and Barty. Reg obviously avoided Sirius' intent stare. It seemed as everyone was tense in the small crowd that tried out for the long term position of being in this school. The teachers and the headmaster were discussing the results in a separate room while everyone else just seemed unsure what to do. Some started to bother the kids the most obviously nervous and tell them lies. Others started to try to make them feel better. Sirius started to approach the small possible first years.
“Hey Evan, was Regulus pissing his pants in the group with Minne?”
“Nope you better give me my money Kid.”
“Older than you but sure it was still worth it.”
He passed a few pounds to Evan

~Regulus P.O.V~
I am related to idiots. I don’t understand what I did to deserve this misfortune I don’t even know. Orla looks really annoyed I don’t know what for, maybe the fact we have to wait or my brother which both makes a lot of sense to be annoyed at
“Do you think you did good, Orla?”
“Nah but it’s fine I don’t really care.”
“You don’t care?! Don’t you want to get in?” Sirius interrupted
“No, not really this school seems ass anyways.” Uh- I know she did not just lie like that
“What do you mean the classes in this school are interesting and I heard they have one of the best libraries? There’s no way you think that.” I say to her, the shock is obvious in my tone
“Yeah this school was so much fun, last year was amazing!” Sirius added
“It’s not really the school more the people.” She said which was kind of facts since some of my bad cousins go here
“You’ve met 6% of the school students so far, how could you possibly think that? Are you trying to say my friends are ass?!”
“I don't know, are they? I don’t even like some of the teachers already. The classes seem great but I’ve heard of the drama in this school” She said and I agree some of my cousins go here.
“Well yeah I guess but it’s not most people mostly just the slytherins.” Sirius said confidently
“So it’s been confirmed there’s prejudice here? More of a reason not to stay as I always say well more like I just think it..anyways where’s there’s prejudice there’s racism I will not be a victim to this amen.” And she did not lie once again but still
“Not even gonna lie, you are kind of right.” Sirius said
“Yes but there’s racism everywhere. What's the difference with this school?” I responded to her
“True.” Sirius said looking kind of confused which is weird
“It’s whatever they need to just hurry up and announce the results. I'm tired.” After saying this she had a weird look in her eyes like regret? I don’t know she confuses me too much
Orla and I fall silent while we allow everyone else to do the talking after that
~A lot of moments later~
It took about an hour before the teachers finally came back some older kids left but got back in time for the results
The headmaster started to speak.
“We are very proud of the group of auditioners this year. We wish you guys were as amazed by the children as we are. Now the school is a first step to a good successful future but we are also not the only schools after we finish announcing the results. I will say we will let you guys have other opportunities to join other schools with similar criteria and or join our school in the future. Now with the results starting with Orla Sarai Zulu. I’m happy to announce you are the first announced child to have passed and the house you will belong to is ....” I really hope we have the same house
“RAVENCLAW!” The Ravenclaw older students started to clap very loudly, pretty much all of them standing up!
“Now Oliver Xan”…..I ignored the rest of it
I’m very angry as I watch Orla sit down in a unoccupied section of the Ravenclaw table. She looked relieved and kind of happy? I couldn’t quite tell with her but I started to feel happy for her
I wait till the B’s come and finally I hear my name
“Regulus Black we are very lucky to inform you that you’ve made it and your house is….”
“RAVENCLAW!”
The whole entire great hall went silent. I’m dead, that’s the only thing I can think of. When word gets to mother and father there’s nothing else I can think of except I am done for. I might as well tell her myself to make my death a bit easier. Sirius is probably disappointed as well because he wanted me to be in his house. So I guess I disappointed everyone. I’m not even surprised but what can I do? Dumbledore probably did this on purpose or one of the teachers I probably made them upset with my “attitude” it’s not fair but it’s reasonable I deserve it I guess. I walked to sit with Orla. I probably made her mad too. She most likely didn’t want me in her house
“Why is everyone quiet? What’s the big deal…” She asked
That’s right she’s not even from here she probably think this is a posh thing or something it kind of is though
“I wasn’t supposed to be in Ravenclaw. Everyone knows that.” I answered simply
She must have understood I didn’t want to talk anymore because she went quiet. I feel kind of bad so I'm just going to attempt to have a conversation
“Are you happy about your house?” I asked
“I’m neutral about it. I already knew this is the house I’ll get into. I’m surprised I got in though. I need to text my family members.” She said shrugging it off like it’s an normal thing
She got her phone out and started texting her family members I guess.
“My siblings are surprised they are rude rats.” She said rolling her eyes
“You have siblings?”
“Yes, like 7 of them…but we only claim three.”
“What do you claim? Only three of them are your biological siblings or something?” I asked very confused
“No I only talk to five of them and I only like three of them to be quite honest it’s more like four but it’s okay.”
“I hate my brother, which is obvious.”
“Understandable but your bond with him is kind of cute.”
