Chapter 6

They'd agreed to come at one.
Percy and his family were going to come to Bill's house in about an hour and Bill was nervous.
Bill still couldn't get over it. He couldn't imagine the pressure of hiding his own family. Not being able to talk about them and stuff like that.
He just hoped that it'd go smoothly. That Louis would actually behave reasonably and that he'd make a good impression on his brother's kids and husband.

Louis was told Percy had a family. Well fuck. Louis always thought his Uncle was kinda a recluse, but wow.
He'd never heard his parents talk about gay people before now. Like he knew they existed but after they'd found out Percy had a husband, Louis had been given multiple 'we'll love you no matter what' speeches from his dad.

Apparently Uncle Percy and his family were coming over in a bit. He hoped they weren't too boring, he'd always found his uncle quiet and unapproachable, according to his other Uncles he was a stickler for the rules and not too fun.
But overall he'd never really talked to him.

What he had not been expected was for a freaking Quidditch pro to walk through the door, next to the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain and a Ravenclaw prefect.
Louis tried to keep his composure as they introduced themselves. What the hell? Percy married fucking Oliver Woods?
His dad kept talking, Louis obviously not paying attention, and lead both Uncle Percy and Oliver Woods, Shit Oliver Woods was his uncle, to the kitchen, before leaving the kids in the living room.

"Hi, Louis right?" Kayla said, smiling at him.
The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain was his cousin, Kayla freaking Woods was related to him.
"Um yeah."
"Your in third year aren't you?"
"Yep."
"Yeah, I thought I'd seen you round."

A small girl walked right up to him. "Hello", Nat grinned.
"Hello."
"Your hair's blue."
"Yes, it is."
"How's it blue?"
"I dyed it."
She giggled, "Cool."

Jesse turned to him, "Hi mate."
"Hi."
"Your an only kid eh?"
"Haha yeah."
"Sick."

It was awkward at first. Them trying to talk properly, trying to interact and not sound like video game npcs. Eventually they slipped into slightly more casual conversation, talking about school and the worst teachers, what subjects they were taking and so on.
Before they knew they were at the table having dinner.
The adults did most of the talking from then on.
Then they were walking out the door.

Louis still couldn't get over that his dad had sprung that on him though.
"Why didn't you tell me he married a quidditch pro?!"
"I guess I just forgot Loui. Sorry." Bill smiled, "They all seemed nice though right?"
"Yeah."

Bill turned to Fleur, "I can't believe Ginny knew before me though"
She laughed, "Percy did say it was a mishap"
"Do you think he'll tell anyone else anytime soon?"
"I think he will, he just needs more time Bill"
