Chapter 7

George was having a nice day. A normal, casual day.
He'd just got off work and he just wanted to get some basic necessities from the shops when he spotted a certain magazine.
George's former Quidditch captain plastered on the cover.
Picking the magazine, he thought about how long it'd been since he'd seen Oliver woods. Oliver had made it to the Pros and everything. He remembered his passion when they were playing, how he'd always made them get up at the crack of dawn and practice in any and all weather.
George should really try and meet up again, just catch up and talk.
He read Oliver's part of magazine, it involved a segment of an interview.

"So you've never really mentioned much about family have you?"
"Haha, yeah I guess that's how things worked out. I have mentioned it before that I am in fact married and I do have kids. Personally, I have talked about my own sexuality in public and I find it important to talk about that kinda thing. For the record I am a homosexual. On the subject of kids, I just never really wanted to raise them in the light of the press. They can be quite invasive and cruel when it comes to kids and I didn't want them to grow up in that."
"Well Mr Woods...."

Fuck. Oliver Woods was gay. George wouldn't have guessed it but, good for him. Actually it made sense of his lack of dating throughout his years at Hogwarts.
George put it out of his mind, thinking of perhaps trying to meet up with Oliver. But that was a problem for later, right now he had to get home to Angela.

However, it seemed like destiny had an agender. And it was set on the Weasleys meeting the woods family.

*A few weeks later*

George checked his watch. He was early for once.
He was stood outside of his kids primary school. A nice wizarding one with chaotic coloured walls, totally his type of place.
Wow, he was really early, he didn't think he'd be this early for anything in his life.
So, George kept standing, checking his phone for any new messages.
He looked on the Weasley kids group chat, nothing too new. The latest message was just collections of everyone sending messages for their parents. The only person who wasn't on the chat was Percy, since he apparently decided not to get a phone. George could only guess that they were too 'muggle' for perfect Percy.

George glanced up, noticing a rushed looking teenager walk up to the gates.
"You okay?"
He glanced back at him, panic in her eyes. "Yep, cool, totally cool.", his voice wavering without much conviction. "Can I just ask what time it is?"
"It's quarter to three, why?"
"Wait so I'm early?"
"Uh huh."
"Oh."
"Sorry, are you okay, need to call anyone?"
George felt kinda worried, the boy seemed agitated and frazzled.

"Um, yeah if that's okay. My dad was calling me about a change of plan when my phone died."
"Ah, don't worry mate. I'm sure it'll be fine."
He put his phone onto the telephone then passed over his phone to the boy.
George waited as he pressed in a number. Standing next to him as the call went through.

He could only hear fragments of the conversation, "Hey Dad... yeah one of the dads at Nats school let me call of his phone... I'm just confused about when Kayla was getting off... and where do I go after that?... yep my phone died... sorry, sorry I know... yep all good... see you in a bit yeah...bye."

The boy passed the phone back to him. "Thank you"
"No problem, so who are you picking up then?"
"Just my sister Nat. Sorry I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Jesse Woods."
"Ohh, any relation to Oliver Woods?"
"Haha yeah he's my Da."
"I knew him in Hogwarts, he was my Quidditch Captain actually."
"Oh, sick. What's your name? He might have mentioned you."
"I sure hope he did. I'm George Weasley"

The kid immediately tensed. Putting on a fake smile and trying to casually take a step back.
"Ah, I think I may recognise that name"
George frowned slightly, what was wrong? Surely Oliver wouldn't have said anything too shit about him.

Before he couldn't register that the gates had opened a small girl came hurdling at Jesse next to him.
"Jesse!"
"Hey Nat. Come on we gotta go."
The small girl (Nat he assumed) ignored him and looked up to George.
"Hello! Who are you?"
"I'm George Weasley, I think your brother-"
"Ooh, like Ginny and Bill?!"
"Uh, yeah but-"
Jesse pulled Nat's hand, voice stern "Nat, we're leaving. Now."

Wait what?
Did Bill and Ginny know Woods kids?
Why hadn't they mentioned it before?
He had a lot of questions. And George was expecting them to answer them.
