Gringotts
Harry Pov
Harry stared in shock as he saw Diagon Alley for the first time. The street was filled with shops. As he looked around he saw some kids looking at an shop window. In the window displayed a broomstick. “A Nimbus 2000!” One of the kids says. “I heard it was the fastest broom on the market!” Another said.
Before Harry could go over there and look at the broom, he and the others were ushered by Hagrid. Now they were standing in front of a building with a sign that said ‘Gringotts’. “Gringotts?” Harry asked. Hagrid said “Everyone this is the wizarding bank, run by Goblins.”
“Goblins?” Cinder said, “That’s so cool!” Draco nodded. Harry just felt dread as he realized that he and Draco didn’t have money for school supplies. “I just realized something! Me and Draco have no money for shopping!” Harry said in alarm.
Mr. Glaze said “Harry don’t worry, I can help pay for the both of you.” “Harry you don't have to worry, you didn’t think your parents left you with nothing did you?” Hagrid said. That truly shocked Harry. Draco said “Well let's get going! I can’t wait to see all the shops.”
The trio nodded and they all walked in. The bank was very busy. “Guys hold hands please, I want no one getting lost,” Mr. Glaze said. The three nodded and did as they were told. They all followed Hagrid. Hagrid was now talking to what Harry guessed were goblins. “I have brought Harry Potter to collect money from his vault,” Hagrid said, “And can you also help my friend here? He needs to exchange muggle money for wizarding money.”
The goblin asked “Anything else?” “I also need to collect something from vault 713, Dumbledors orders,” Hagrid said as he passed a piece of paper to the Goblin. “Do you have Harry Potter’s key?” Hagrid then took a key out of his pocket and handed it to the goblin. And with that they followed the goblin.
Draco Pov
Today so far has been really weird. First there is this secret wizarding place only a few blocks away from where he, Harry, and Cinder live. Now they were at the bank to get wizarding run by goblins.
So yeah this has been a very strange day. Now they are following these goblins so they can get money from Harry’s vault. They got on a cart and the goblin said “No puking please.” Cinder began to ask “Why would we puk-”
The cart took off like a roller coaster. Well what Draco thought a roller coaster take off would be like. Once they made it to the first vault. The goblin said “Harry Potter’s Vault.” They got off the cart and the goblin opened the vault. When they looked inside they saw gold, silver, and bronze coins.
“Is this all mine?” Harry asked. Hagrid nodded and said “Yes this is all yours.” “What are the different coins?” Cinder asked. “Well the gold ones are Galleons, the silver ones are Sickles, the bronze ones are Knuts. There are 29 Knuts in a Sickle, 17 Sickles in a Galleon.”
“Wow!” Draco said, Draco looked at Harry. They started gathering all the money they would need. After that they got back on the cart and they went to another vault. They got off the cart and Cinder asked “Hagrid what are you getting from this vault?” “Sorry Cinder, can’t tell, secret Hogwarts business.”
Cinder clearly wasn’t buying it, but she nodded nonetheless. Royal jumped into my hair from his spot on my shoulder. Draco saw Hagrid grab a small brown package. “What’s that,” Draco asked. “Not something you should worry about,” Hagrid said, “Who is ready to continue shopping?”
