Going to Diagon Alley
Draco Pov
It was six when Draco woke up. Harry was still asleep by him, so Draco went to get ready for the day. Today he, Harry, and Cinder will be entering the wizarding world. How exciting was that! They were going to go to the same school together and learn magic together! Draco couldn’t wait. Draco went over to Royal and allowed him to climb his arm to get onto his shoulder.
“Hey Roy,” Draco said, “Ready for today? I know I am!” They walked to the kitchen and saw Hagrid and Mr. Glaze talking to each other. “Good morning Draco,” Mr. Glaze said, “Ready for today?” Draco said “Morning Mr. Glaze and ready as I’ll ever be.” He nodded and said “Can you wake up Cinder and Harry? Breakfast is almost ready.”
Draco nodded and ran to wake up Harry and Cinder. He yelled “WAKE UP!” At both of them. Cinder threw a pillow at him and Harry slowly got up. The three of them finally got to the kitchen. There were three plates of toast waiting for them. Once the three of them were done and went to get dressed.
Cinder was dressed in a blue dress. Harry was wearing a blue shirt with a light green sweatshirt on top. Hope was wrapped around his arm. Draco wore a light blue shirt with some jeans. He also grabbed his and Harry’s bag. Royal climbed upon his shoulder.
They put Night on her leash. Hope was wrapped in Harry's arm. Royal was sitting on my shoulder, getting ready to climb onto his hair. Night was the first by the door.
They all got to the front door and set off to Diagon Alley. “Hagrid, let me get this straight, we need to go to this place called the Leaky Cauldron to get to Diagon Alley?” Cinder asked Hagrid. Hagrid said “Right you are Cinder.” “So is there anything else we need to know about Hogwarts?” Harry asked.
“Oh there is something else, the school houses. Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Hufflepuff people say there are a lot of duffers, Ravenclaw are full of smart people, Slytherin, now there has been no one who wasn’t evil that went into slytherin. Gryfifndor in my opinion the best, it is that of the brave and one of the most honorable and noble person I know was in that house.” Hagrid said.
Draco said “And who may that be?” “Well Albus Dumbledore of course!” Hagrid said. Mr. Glaze said “The school headmaster, correct?” “Yes you are,” Hagrid said, “You know they wanted him for minister of magic but he said no.” “There is a minister of magic?” Harry asked. “Yes there is,” Hagrid said, “Our current one is Minister Fudge.” The three just nodded and contented walking until they made it to the Leaky Cauldron.
Cinder Pov
This morning was going to be full of surprises. They were going to be entering the world of magic today. Getting wands then setting off for Hogwarts in a month. Cinder couldn't wait for it, she was going to be going with her best friends by her side.
As they were walking they asked Hagrid questions. Now they were at the Leaky Cauldron about to walk in. Hagrid walked in first followed by Harry, Hope, and Night. Draco and Me went in next and Dad came in last. The moment they walked in the bartender said “Hagrid you here for the usual?” “No, sorry Tom, I am here on official Hogwarts business,” Hagrid told the man, Tom.
Tom nodded and asked “Who may you guys be?” Mr. Glaze said “I’m William Glaze and I’m here with my daughter, Cinder and her two friends.” Draco said “I’m Draco Free and my shy friend here is Harry Potter.” And with that the whole bar looked up and people said “Harry Potter.” “The Harry Potter.” “Oh my, it is him.” And a bunch more statements like that.
Draco soon realizes his mistake and whispers an apology to Harry. Tom said “Harry Potter it is an honor to meet you!” Tom shakes Harry's hand. Many people who were there came to talk to Harry and shake his hand. They were there for about 30 minutes. While Harry was occupied, me and Draco had talked about saying Harry name super loud in public.
Harry was now talking to the last person. A pale guy, he was twitching a lot. “Professor Quirrell!” Hagrid said, “Everyone meet Professor Quirrell, he will be one of your teachers this year.” “P-P-Please t-to meet y-you all,” Professor Quirrell said. “Please to meet you too Professor Quirrell,” Harry said.
Draco walked over to stand by Harry and said “Night to meet you Professor, do you mind if I ask what you teach?” “N-None at a-all,” Quirrell stammered, “D-D-Defense A-Against t-the D-Dark Arts.”
Draco nodded.
Hagrid then said “We should be going now.” With that they said goodbye to there future professor and followed Hagrid. Hagrid led them to a brick wall and tapped some bricks. The doorway then opened up. “Welcome to Diagon Alley!” Hagrid said.
