Harry Pov
Harry blinked at the giant man standing in the doorway. Mr. Glaze stood there for a second and asked “Hi sir. . .Hmm, who are you?” “I’m Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts.” The giant ma- Hagrid said. Mr. Glaze quickly calmed down and said “You're here to explain the magic world to the children! Well come in, I’ll make us all some tea.”
And with that Hagrid came in and Cinder led him to the couch. Mr. Glaze went to get everyone tea. When he came back Draco, Cinder and Harry were sitting on the ground. Mr. Glaze sat on a chair by the couch. Everyone now had some tea and Mr. Glaze said “Kids, how about you introduce yourselves?”
We nodded and Cinder said “I’m Cinder Glaze.” Draco said “I’m Draco Free and my friend here is Harry Potter.” “Harry Potter!” Hagrid said, “I have seen you since you were a baby.” “You haven’t?” Harry said with confusion. “Yeah I haven’t, you look just like your father but with your mother's eyes.” Hagrid said.
“You knew my parents sir?” Harry asked. “Yeah I knew Lily and James Potter, everyone knows Lily and James Potter, just like everyone knows who you are.” Hagrid said. “Everyone knows who I am?” Harry said, that didn’t make any sense, he was just Harry. He was nothing special.
Of course Harry, you're famous in our world,” Hagrid said. “I’m what!?” Harry asked, clearly alarmed. Cinder said “How famous is Harry?” Draco nodded he clearly wanted to know too. Hagrid said “Well he defeated Who-Must-Not-Be-Named when he was baby and ended an eleven year old war.” “I did what!?” Harry said while Cinder and Draco said “That’s my best friend!”
Mr. Glaze clearly saw Harry about to panic and changed the subject by saying “Hmm Mr. Hagrid, how about we get back while you are here for. . .I think that would be best for everyone right now.” Hagrid nodded and said “Tomorrow I will be taking you guys to Hogwarts, you will get your school supplies and wands there.”
“Mr. Hagrid, how many pets can you bring to Hogwarts?” Draco asked. “Every student can bring up to two pets, Hagrid said. “Can we bring a dog?” Draco asked, “Cause me and Harry have this dog.” Just as Draco said that Night barked. Hagrid said “Any pet that isn’t a cat, owl, or toad you will need to send a letter to the school to inform them.” Draco nodded.
Harry said “We can write one in the morning.” Mr. Glaze nodded and said “Is there anything else they need to know or anything that can’t wait till morning? Because it is way past their bedtime.” Just on que Harry yawned so did Draco and Cinder.
Hagrid said “Nothing that can’t wait till morning.” “Well Hagrid you can sleep in here, Cinder you can sleep in your room, boys you can stay in my room, I’ll sleep on the floor.” Mr. Glaze said. With that everyone went off to bed. Hope and Royal were cuddled together on the nightstand, Night was sleeping in between Harry and Draco.
“Hey Harry, are you asleep?” Draco asked. “Not yet,” Harry said, “What’s up?” “How are you?” Draco asked. “What do you mean Dray?” Harry asked, playing dumb. “You know what I mean,” Draco said. “I mean I don’t know what I feel about all this,” Harry said, “Some knew my parents and apparently I’m famous in a world I just found out about.”
“Hey Har everything is going to ok,” Draco said, “You have me, Cinder, Hope, Night, Royal, and Mr. Glaze by your side. So if someone even looks at you funny they’ll have to deal with us!” Harry nodded and said “Ok, we should probably try to get some sleep now.” “Ok,” Draco said. With that they both fell asleep.
