Magic is Real?
Harry Pov
When Harry showed Cinder he did not expect her to say “YES! Come on inside! My Dad can explain.” Explain what? Harry had some many questions. Why was she excited about this? Why could her father explain these letters?
Harry looked at Draco, he shrugged and followed Cinder up to her apartment. When they got there, she said “You sit there, I’ll go get my Dad!” She rushed off to go get her Dad.
Harry said “Draco what do you think about all this?” Draco said “I think. . . the letters might be true?” Harry said “How is that possible? Magic ain’t real?” When Harry lived at the Dursleys. They told him magic wasn’t real.
But Harry knows that almost everything that they say is wrong. Or that at least what Cinder and Draco say. Draco said “Well maybe it is? I mean weird stuff does happen around us all the time. Maybe it’s magic.” Before Harry could say anything, Cinder walked in dragging her father by the arm.
She said “Show him the letters!” Draco pushed his letter towards Cinder’s Dad. Harry shortly followed. Cinder’s Dad said “Guys this is great! Now all three of you can go to Hogwarts together!” Draco said “Hogwarts is real?” “The letters are not a prank?” Harry said at the exact same time.
Cinder’s Dad said “Yup. I remember when my older brother got his letter.” “Your brother could do magic?” Draco asked. He said “Yup, he was a Hufflepuff, and a proud one at that!” Harry said “Hufflepuff?” Cinder’s Dad said “I really shouldn’t be the one to explain this to you guys. We should send a letter to get someone who knows more than me to explain all this to you three.”
Harry asked “And how would we do that? I don’t see a return address.” Cinder said “Maybe we sent an owl, I mean the letters did say that they are awaiting our owl.” Draco said “And how are we going to get a trained owl to deliver it?” Cinder pointed to the window and said “Maybe that one.”
Cinder Pov
After showing her dad the letter and him explaining this is a real school. Cinder now has to tell her two best friends that she will be going to a boarding school. And that she won’t be able to see them until Christmas.
This is going to be a very hard conversion. One that she was not looking forward to. She didn’t want to leave them. She knew they would be upset, but they would understand and support her.
As she was walking out of the barkery, she saw Harry and Draco walking her way. What are they doing here?! She was going to think of how to tell them on the way!
Cinder said “Hey guys! I have something to tell you.” Draco said “And we have something to show you.” Just as Draco said that, Harry showed her a Hogwarts letter. He said “And Draco got one two.”
Cinder said “YES! Come on inside! My Dad can explain.” She was so excited! This means all three of them will be going to Hogwarts! Together! Harry said “Explain what?” Cinder said “Our acceptance letters of course!” With that they made their way to her apartment.
As they arrived at her apartment, she made them sit at the table. She then rushed to get her Dad. Her Dad was in his room, doing taxes. She said “Dad! Harry and Draco got Hogwarts letters! You need to tell them as you told me. Now!”
“They got Hogwarts letters?” He said in surprise, “I mean. . .I probably should've guessed they would. Weird things did happen around them like they did you.” Cinder said “Yeah that’s why you need to explain things to them now!”
Cinder and her Dad then made it to the kitchen.
Draco Pov
Draco said “And how are we going to get a trained owl to deliver it?” Cinder then said “Maybe that one.” Draco went to look out the window and saw a brown owl sitting on her window seal.
Harry got up and walked over to the owl. Draco said “Harry be careful! The owl could be trained to attack!” Cinder said “I’ll say that would be crazy, but he may be right on this one.” Harry opened the window and let the owl inside.
The owl flew and landed on the table. Harry said “Ok let’s use this owl to write to Hogwarts and have them send someone to explain.” Cinder’s Dad said “On it.” After a few minutes they had a letter to send.
Draco picked it up and said “Ok Mr.Owl I want you to take this letter to Hogwarts. You got that?” The owl just hooted. With that they gave the owl the letter and he flew out the window. Cinder said “So I guess we just wait?”
Draco said “Yes we do.”
