Chapter 1
Aubree woke up and sighed heavily. She didn't want to deal with Jax today. She grabbed her single Twix it's what she calls breakfast. While eating her mind continuously wanders to Jax.
She arrives to school and sits down on the stairs in the auditorium. Waiting for her friends, Reed, Jaime, Sophia, and Scarletta. Whilst she is waiting for her friends she can't stop thinking about him. His muscles. His fat. His luscious locks of hair. His beautiful brown orbs.
She sighs.
"What was that about?" Her best friend Scarletta asks.
"Nothing," honestly it wasn't nothing.
"Sure, whatever," Scarletta rolls her eyes. She sits down on the stairs next to her.
Aubree absent mindedly starts complaining about Jax her worst enemy.
Everyone else in their possy starts funneling into the auditorium.
Reed sighs, "Just shut up and kiss already."
Aubree is aghast but everyone else just agrees and laughs.
Jaime asks, "How is your tramp stamp Aubree?"
She laughs, "That was random, but it's good, it already healed up."
They find their seats for their music theory class. Aubree is glad she doesn't have this class with Jax, he is the WORST! She wouldn't be able to focus if he was here. She'd be too busy staring holes through their head.
Jax is her least favorite person. It's not because she's homophobic though, She doesn't hate Jax because they're genderfluid. It's just she can't deal with his personality.
He reminds her too much of Aaron- her bastard father.
She runs her hand through her short dyed hair and sighs again.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Scarletta nudges her shoulder, speaking in a low voice, "You've been really... off lately."
"I'm just-" she sighs, "I'm just thinking."
Recently she'd been thinking of Lucas... she'd regretted breaking up with him. But he was going to a different college after high school. Aubree can't do long distance because she has separation issues because of Aaron.
After her music theory class she has twenty minutes before her next class. She had the class with Jax.
Their green shirt today highlighted his fatty muscles.
Aubree's seat was behind her. Aubree had an even worse time focusing when she was around. Aubree's eyes wander around Jax's back. The green shirt was awfully tight on their muscles.
She barely noticed the person speaking nearby.
"Ha! You mean to tell me you go by he/they/she? That is disgusting!"
Jax shrinks in their chair. Aubree stands up, sure Jax was annoying and all, but no one deserves to be made fun of for their pronouns.
"Hey! Cut it out!" Aubree yells, slamming her hands on the desk as she stands up.
The person sighs and walks away.
"Why did you do that?" Jax asks still slumped in his chair.
"I don't like you, but we faggots gotta stick together, when someone makes fun of someone else for their identity, I can't take it," she finishes by showing her her pan flag pin.
Jax mumbles a thanks and mentions how they still hate Aubree.
