Aubree's friend Rayvena enters the classroom and takes the seat next to her. Rayvena is a pimp.
"Hey tranny," she greets Aubree.
Aubree has a mini heart attack, she is not used to Rayvena's wide vocabulary of slurs (ironically she never swears- she says it drives away all the hoes), "Can you even say that!?"

Aubree sighs she'll never understand her friend. Turning her attention back to the front. Their professor had just walked in.
Dr. Doof is their Criminal Behavior professor, the class doubles as a criminal justice and sociology class. The dude has an unbelievable knowledge about the criminal mind.
At some point during the man's lecture Aubree was caught looking- she had just glanced- at Jax.
"You like them genderfluid?" Rayvena asks lowly, so no one else hears.
Aubree splutters, "WH-"she quiets her voice, "what the actual- gah! What is wrong with you!?"
She puts her hands up in mock surrender, "Hey, nothing wrong with that. You do you hoe."
Aubree growls. Like a dog. She actually growled. I hate writing. Yeah. Aubree growls, like a dog, I need you to grow up.
No one in their class really noticed the interaction... nobody but Jax that is.
See Jax had- from the earlier interaction- noticed aubree wasn't as bad as he thought she was. They really just thought she was a generally bad person- not that they're the best person either. They had always just found Aubree insufferable! Like he knew she was at the very least a lesbian since they met, I mean look at her! She's almost the picture perfect butch- she was very twig like, but aside from that! They would've bet 100 bucks she also had a tramp stamp of the lebian flag- or like a scissors! But then she showed her the pan flag pin, and also stood up for her?
Jax's stomach did not have butterflies. Jax had hated Aubree since they started college! Why now is he feeling these things? He wants to tear his heart out in hopes it'll stop these feelings.
When Rayvena mentioned liking genderfluid people, Jax did not freak out intentionally. Jax's only thought was, 'Wow Rayvena really is a pimp,' and nothing else.
So no, Jax's feelings toward Aubree where nothing more than gratitude, that is one thing you can be sure about
