His Body

When I look at him, I see this:

Freckles on a million places I only imagine to see

Hands calloused and gripping my hands in fear

Lips I wish to kiss

The smile I wish to cause

I see his eyes more green and beautiful than I thought they could be

I see his hair tousled and dark

I see his uniform with the tie crooked so one day I may fix it

I see his glasses on the table with his head down

I want to feel his arms around me

I want to hold his cheeks in my hands

I want to sit in his lap and rest

I want him to notice me

But he never will like me

So I make him hate me

In hopes it will all go away

All of this desire for him

His everything
