I'd Be Okay With It
Everybody else was silent. Draco made a noise that would suggest he was chocking on air. "Shut it, you little shits!" He said as he pointed at the little girls.
"Don't speak to those poor children like that!" Mrs. Weasley all but shrieked. "You probably don't even know them!"
Mrs. Malfoy looked enraged at that. "Excuse you?! They are all my kids and I'll be damned before I let you speak to any of them that way!" Narcissa stood up and was about to take her earrings out before Draco ran over and stopped her.
He looked over at the Weasley family and spoke in a calm voice that would suggest he was very much not calm. "I'm sorry about my mother. But in no way do you have the right to suggest I would just say that to random kids. They are my younger sisters, half sisters, but still my sisters."
Mrs. Weasley looked like she could die from embarrassment. "I know you meant well though and for that, I thank you." Draco let go of his mom, who had finally calmed down, and bowed. He stood back up straight and returned to sitting on the counter where he began eating his noodles again.
The Weasley's stared at him in shock. The old Draco Malfoy would curse them out and call them filthy. This Draco just thanked a Weasley for looking out for his younger siblings like they were the only thing in the world that mattered, not his feelings, just his sisters.
Ron was the one that spoke up next, surprisingly. " I would do the same for Ginny. That was pretty nice of you Malfoy."
Draco looked up from his cup and said with his mouth full. " 'anks."
Harry's turn next. " So if Fred isn't under a spell and he's actually attracted to Malfoy AND he got approved by Mrs. Malfoy," He turned to Fred. "Does that mean you'll get married?"
Fred's face got redder and he stared more intensely at the floor. You could hear Draco chocking on his noodles.
"Fred, answer us. Would you actually marry Draco Malfoy or was that just some stupid prank?" Mr. Weasley asked sternly.
Fred looked up and stared his father in the eye. "Yes Dad, I would. As long as Malfoy is okay with it, then yes."
Mr. Weasley nodded. " And what about you, Mr Malfoy, will you marry my son?"
Everyone looked at him, expecting an answer. " I dunno," he awkwardly stirred his food a bit. " ...Maybe. Depends."
Hermione spoke up. " What does it depend on?"
"If he would be okay marrying a uni student and living in Japan. "
"Why Japan?" George's turn.
Draco set his beloved cup down and started counting on his fingers. "That's where my family lives, uni is cheaper, I speak better Japanese than I do English, better food, more opportunities for the field I'm studying... I think that's it."
Fred muttered a bit. Everyone turned to look at him. Narcissa was the one to ask the question on everyone's mind. "What was that, dear?"
" I would be okay with that. Besides I think Asia as a whole is pretty cool."
"Okay then. Sure, let's get married. No take backs though." Draco pointed at him with a ' if you say yes, your stuck with me.' look.
Fred nodded and smiled and said "Okay. No take backs."
" Wait what's your name?" The first little girl asked, her eyes alight with mischief.
"Oh, uh... It's Fred."
"Cool." The other girl responded. Then they started to sing in unison. "Dragon and Fred sittin' in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N - mmf." There mouths were covered by both of Draco's hands.
He bent down in-between them and whispered something in their ears. After he took his hands away, they immediately ran to their mom and hugged her. He smiled sweetly at the girls, waved good bye and stood up.
" Let's go then." He threw away his cup of noodles as he walked over to Fred and started pulling him out the door. " Do you know the way to the marriage office or should I get a map?"
"Wait." Mr. Weasley called after them. They stopped in the door way. " I know the way to the office, we'll walk you there. "
"Okay." Fred replied, barely above a whisper. He couldn't believe this was happening. He had been dreaming about this day for years, and here he was being dragged along a corridor in the Ministry of Magic, only a few steps away from the rest of his life with the person he loved more than anything else in the world. He was going to live a wonderful life.
