Who's the Heir?

(Library, Hogwarts; Nov. 1977)
The two girls smile unconsciously as they study quietly in the library. While they of course loved and cared about their friend and house-mate, Lily, they were getting annoyed at the teen. They were happy for the red-head and tried to help lily get the potter heirs attention but it wasnt easy with the red-heads new controlling attitude and famious temper.
Over the course of her pregnancy the red-head had become nearly unbearable with her want for attention and acomidation compared to other pregnant students. And now that james stopped helping lily as much the two gryffindors had been guilted into doing it. The two girls had hoped they get access to the potter manor as her real friends, not like that traitor snape, but lily was getting on their nerves.
James himself had slowly stopped spending as much time with lily and that gave the two girls hope, they like most female students had a crush on the handsome Head Boy, but after what lily had pulled on james at the start of the first hogsmeads visit they were hesitant to get james' attention. They settled for quietly agreeing with their friend when she ranted about how uncaring the teen was.
The two teens quietly help each other with homework as other students, mostly ravenclaws, walk by or work nearby. The brunette, Mary McDonald, had just helped correct her dorm-mates potions homework when a familliar voice before they're harshly shushed by Madam Pince. Inwardly sighing the two girls see said pretty red-head. The moment she sits down lily give Mary a disappointed look and whispers, "Mary, Black, wants you again."
Mary tries to supress a shudder but nods in a distrated way, hoping lily would drop it. Sirius Black had always had a crush on her while she had always had a crush on James. Sirius didnt seem to care however as he always tried to get close to her or even lean in like he would kiss her, which she would always respond with by smaking him. This would get her a glare as he left rather then get her into trouble with mcgonagall and get points taken. Now that the teens uncle had passed the Black heir had gotten even more clingy; she could feel eyes on her the moment she would step into the common-room, he would always try and hug her before going to their gendered dorm-rooms at night and she would again smack him. It was frustrating.
Unfortunately lily doesnt drop it and repeats herself slightly louder. Their room-mate, Marlene McKinnon, tries to gently shush her but lily doesnt listen. The teen stands, as quickly as she was able, and uses her arms to lean down and angrily whispers, "Just get with Black, Mary, he'll be the Black heir soon enough.", before she triiles, and fails, to angrily walk away but given how slow she had to move it was more funny then anything.
Now both lions, Mary and Marlene, could admit to themselves that they were as greedy as their freind but neither were willing to let the teen touch them or let him do what hes wants with them in order to be "Lady Black", especially with how strict and unhindged his mother was known to be.
That night, ounce again, as Mary was going up to her 7th year dorm Black stops her for a hug and this time Mary snapped and whiped her wand at him. "Dont touch me, Black." She hisses, aiming her wand at his nose, ignoreing the remaining students who seemed to love drama.
"Whats wrong eith you, McDonald?", the boy asks shocked and alittle angry.
"Im sorry your uncle died, Black,", she starts, lowering her wand slightly. "But im not some kind of support person." Then she pushes past him and to the girls dorms, which were magicaly locked automatically after 10 pm.
Over the month Mary does her best to avoid the Black heir as much as she could while also working with Marlene to stay in lily's good graces so they could eventually spend time at Potter Manor. Unfortunately james also distanced himself from lily, causing more fights between them and making lily rant to them about it. The girls try and help lily with james but the red-head isnt instrested in apologizing or doing anything for james, she was convinced he should be doing stuff for her.

By late November Mary was sick of being the messageer and playing nice. In a moment of clear jealousy and anger she finaly accepts to go on a hogsmead date with sirius black. As they're eating at the Three Broom-sticks Mary starts to feel warmer then ussual and she cant help but smile as black tells some stupid joke. She feels the need to get closer to him and he grins as he wraps an arm around her shoulder. Just as he's going to lean in and kiss her the two are distracted by yelling at a nearby table.
It shouldve been unsuprising at this point but it was james and lily. She was on her feet, one hand noticably on her belly while her other hand was inches from the brunettes face. Marys attention goes back to Bla- Sirius as he scoffs and mutters about lily being psycotic. Mary nods in agreement, the red-head was being extremly annoying with her need to be the center of attention and better then everyone else.
As lily stomps out of the restaurant Mary begrudgingly follows but not before kissong sirius on the cheek ehich feels wrong but shes not sure why. As the two walk around Hogsmead, ounce again ranting about how insensitive and cruel james was, Mary's thoughts continued to stray twoards Black. Twoards the end of the Hogsmead visit Mary slips away from lily to find the teen, feeling a need to be close to him.
However as she sees him laughing, on the way back to hogwarts, she stops before she can start running twoards him. The warm feeling and need to be ckose suddenly disappear and she feels the need to gag as she remembers kissing him. Mary quickly turns and runs as she can to one of the Professors.
Catching up to Professor Sprout the brunette smiles in releif before whispering and asking to speak to her and Mcgonagall when they get back. The short woman agrees and Mary sticks close to the woman as everyone makes their way back to hogwarts. Black does try and get close to Mary on the way back but the teen sticks close to professor sprout and avoids eye-contact just incase.
When they're back Mary speaks with Professors Sprout and mcgonagall in private, telling them what happened, how she felt and giving a memory for the pensive....

Walburga Black quietly seeths in anger as she and Orion listen to the Headmaster explain what her disappointing eldest son tried to do.
Last summer the teen had childishly ran away after she tried punishing him for a prank he had pulled on his Uncle Cygnus III and Aunt Druella. The stubbern and childish teen had found refuge in the Potter house and it annoyed Walburga that her son wasnt going to face any punishments. As a mother Walburga tried not to use physical punishment if she could avoid it but spanking sirius seemed to be the only thing that got through to him. Sense he was living with the potters Walburga trusted them a /sliver/ to take care of her son and punish him when he did something stupid or made a scene; unfortunately biased on how their own son acted Ealburga had little faith that sirius would be punished.
Now she was being told that sirius had used a lust potion on a usless mud-blood so shed let him do things. Walburga nodded in agreement as the Headmaster Dumbledore told the couple that Sirius would have to be expelled and, of course, atleast 100 points would be taken from Gryffindor House.
As the couple left, Orion having a tight grip on their disobedient son, Walburga thought sirius needed a more sever leason sense it would be hard to get him into another school half-way through his last year. Especially if the boys former friend, potter, or worse, other slytherins, found out and told the public. It was also possible that Dumbledore would tell the public sense he always sided with those weak mud-bloods.
When the three get back to Grimwald place Orion doesnt hesitant to take sirius over his knee and spank him several times before forcing the boy to his old room. Before the two males leave, however, Walburga gives her son one last warning in life. "Sirius Orion Black III, for embarrassing the family and trying to possiably procreate with a filthy mud-blood I will disown you!"
The teen quickly turns around and starts cursing her as his father keeps leading him away. Walburga simply walked away. Despite her own quick temper, she was tired of arguing with him sense he never listened to what she said anyway. As the Matriarch of the Black family she had power over the kids in the family and evebthough she would need to speak with Orion and Cygnus she was certian that they'd agree to disown the teen who had almost embarrassed and insulted the great House of Black. Her brother, Alphard, had sadly died last month and although he had surely given sirius lots of Gillians it wouldnt change the fact he'd no-longer be a Black.
Walburga goes to the family tapestry and looks at the the black mark on it, over her sons picture, an action she'd made in a moment of anger. But this would be diffrent. "I, Walburga Irma Black, formaly disown my son, Sirius Orion Black. Starting at 3 am tomorrow, Nov. 26th, Sirius is no-longer allowed in any Balck house-hold or allowed to use any fanily money unless myself or his brother, Regulus, allow it. Again I, Walburga disown my son and strip him of the Black name." As-soon-as she was done speaking the tapastry seemed to unraval until even the mark had almost entirely disappeared, leaving a hole where her eldest son's burnt face ounce was.
