St. Mungos
(St. Mungo's; early-Dec. 1977)
Lily Evans smiles, hand on her stomach, as she's taken to St. Mungo's where shed stay a week before she was supposed to give birth. Finaly, after 9 miserable months, she was going to have the potter heir and get to live in potter manor the rest of her life. Her parents and ugly sisiter, who were desgusted at her for having a child out of wed-lock, would come crawling back and begging for forgiveness.
However the teens happy smiles vanishes as she passes a room and sees a familliar screen of greasy black hair. Of course, Snivillious. To lily it wasnt fair that they had gotten pregnant so close together, deviding james' and more importantly his parents attention. Hopefully the family would make the right choice and help her welcome their first, and undoubtedly only, grandson into the world. Then she could live the life she always dreamed. Even if james had broken up with her he would be ecstatic to have a son as would his parents and she'd be set for life. Lily smiles smugly as she gets set up in a provate room, where in just under a week she'd be at Potter manor with elves to take care of the crying baby while she could use the potter fortune as a "thank you" for giving them another heir.

Severus tries to be as relaxed and calm as possiable as the birth of his children draw closer. It was abit easier sense he'd gotten the letter that potter had broken up with lily. He enjoyed watching the memory, at the potter mansion, that joseph had given him before he had to continue his bedrest at st. Mungos for the last few weeks. Potter himself had been to visit atleast twice and seemed awkward. Severus had tried to be sympathetic but it was hard given his past connection to both people, instead severus simply pat the teens arm and offered him some sweets that the potter couple had given him.
Severus was still unsure how he felt about potter but atleast they werent at each others throats as they had been years prior. He was releaved that potter had matured and tried to balance both "mum"s instead of just focusing on lily, although severus suspexted it was mainly due to his parents letting severus stay in their home. He had, if course, heard about Sirius being disowned and sense then potter had spent more time actually learning his role as future Lord Potter. Severus even helped answer some quiestion he had that he was embarrassed to ask his father.
Now, as the twins aprouched, severus could confidently say that potter and himself were on good terms and severus was no-longer worried mrs. Potter would take the twins from him. That was if he survived; which was why he had made a Will with Regulus' advice. If Severus did die then Potter would have to share custody with Regulus and Joseph, the only people severus trusted inexplicably. Even if the potter family didnt like working with "slimey snakes", as sirius would call them, then that was their problem, severus was simply trying to make sure his children got everything they wanted in life and had a better childhood then he had.

James stays in the waiting-room while each of his parents are with snape and lily. James had made the chioce to stay away from either of them so neirher could say he played favrites. Now he was pacing around anxiously, hoping that both teens would survive and be alright.
After what felt like hours, which it probably was, one medi-witch came out told him that lily was alright and waiting for him with their child. Despite wanting to know, james doesnt ask the big quiestion. He doesnt know how he'd handle it and doesnt want to take out his feelings on this poor woman. Instead he lets the elderly woman lead him back to lily's room; he had visited her ounce when she started labor and had tried speaking to her before she screamed at him to leave the room, while getting her hand on her wand that was on the bed-sode table.
James takes a deep breath before walking in to find his mother giddy and lily... well while she looked exhausted she also looked upset. Instead of holdong the baby like a new mother ussualy would james found his own mother to be holding the baby. The medi-witch gives them time alone but reminds them not to upset lily, which made james consider leaving. But before he did he had to know. "Whats the gender, mum?", he asks in a whisper.
Lily groans in frustration while pounding her fists at her sides which worries james; was the child physically injured somehow or was it simply-
The elderly woman smiles and says, "Its a beuatiful little girl!" The small amount of disappointment he feels is almost none-existent compared to the joy he felt at being a father. James quickly goes over to his mother and stares at the newborn wrapped in a pink blanket in awe and happinees. He had a baby, someone to continue the trend of going into Gryffindor! "What shall we name her?", his mum asks as she hands the newborn back.
"Her name will be: Violet Lillian Potter.", lily says matter-of-factly as she slowly rocks the baby. While james had hoped the girls middle name could be "Euphemia" in honor of his mum, he was willing to let his daughter be named for her mum and continue the tradition of flower names.
James stays with lily and his mum for an hour before a nurse comes and tells them to leave. The two go visit Snape and his father to let them know. As he enters he cant help but grin in giddiness as he sees snape's bigger stomach. "Im a father!", he says loudly, ignoreing a staff member glareing at him as they passed in the hall-way. His father immediatly comes over and congratulates him with a handshake then hugs his wife. As the couple is doing that, and his mum tells his father their new granddaughters name, james focouses on snape to see the teen frowning, but why? Yes lily and him werent friends anymore but couldnt snape be happy for him or atleast a childhood friend? "Whats wrong?", james asks as he walks up to the bed.
The tall teen glares at his lap for a long moment before asking the big quiestion. "Will i be able to stay at the Potter Manor, if i survive, after the twins are born?" And the way the teen says it causes reality to slam into james. Of course they knew there was a chance snape could die, sense male pregnancy was so rare and unknown, james didnt think much about it choosing to focous on his future kids and his promise to his parents. While james could admit he no-longer hated the quiet potions prodigy he didnt exactly like the teen for hinself, only for the twins. Even so, james didnt like the idea of his kids losing a parent like was the possibility of his childhood due to his parents ages. James hoped snape lived for their children, and if he did well.... now knowing alittle about the other males childhood James couldnt, in good conscious, let him go back to his dirty childhood home.
James glances at his parents, both looked sad, before clearing his throat and saying, "You can stay at the Manor..." again he glances at his parents, not sure if he should put a limit on it.
Thankfuly his mum walk up to the other side of the teens bed and, gently patting his hand, says, "Your welcome at our home whenever you want, Severus." The teen nods while trying in vain to wipe away tears. In past years james would've mocked and teased him for crying at something so mundain but... now that he knew the circumstances james couldnt help but feel bad. What other important moments in snapes life had james mocked and laughed at?
James spends the rest of the day in and out of both hospital rooms and eats a late lunch and dinner with snape cause lily needed her rest.

Ounce again james paces around the waiting room as he waits for information on snape and the twins. His parents were with him sense snape had to have a c-section, as-soon-as he started feeling pain, and eventhough magical c-sections were alittle quicker then muggles the area still had to be sterile and no non-medi-wozards were allowed.
After waiting for what felt like hours a medi-witch comes out...
