Lust Potion
(Hogwarts; 1977)
During the Yule holidays his parents had asked him to have an heir so that they could be assured their fortune wouldn't go to a distant slytherin relative or worse, in their option, a relative in the USA who they considered to be a traitor. James agreed, sure lily could give them a boy.
He was wrong, however, and the girls parents while very accepting of magic were very religious and didnt want their youngist daughter to have s*x until marrige and james didnt want to get married until after graduating so.... James and sirius made a lust potion and slipped it to lily, james reasoned it was to keep his promise and that the potter house-elves would pamper the girl during her pragnancy. James new nothing about pregnancy so in the weeks after he paid extra close attention to lily he didnt really care what pranks sirius got up too.
A few days afterward, however, snivillious kept bothering him and to get the ugly boy away from him, and to keep lily from getting upset, james finally gave the boy what he wanted. In private, of course, sense his popularity would tank if anyone saw him doing such a thing with the ugly boy of all people.
A few months later, lily started getting sick and like a good boyfriend he asked dumbledore to let them go to a healer to make sure lily felt better. The man himself went with them and james was shocked to see Snivillious and sirius' brother. James tries to ignore the two snakes and focous on lily who looked exhausted. James couldnt help but glare at the two, however, when Snivillious is called in before them. Eventually the two come out and both boys looked shocked but james didnt care evenough to even look concerned. A glance at the Headmaster showed he only looked mildly intrested. Then it was lilys turn. Tests are done and the medi-witch says the words james had been hoping for. "Congratulations, Miss Evans, your pregnant." The girl stares at the woman for a moment before screaming at james just as dumbkedore was trying to congratulate him. The prefect refused to be anywhere near james for several weeks after they find out.

James and sirius plan a big prank and james was hoping to win lily over who, if james' math was right, would be around 11 weeks along. However the prank on the slytherins doesnt go as planned and soon james is privatly called up to the office. He's shocked to find his parents along with mcgonagall and slughorn in the room with the Headmaster. But why? Sure some slytherins got sick but so what? No-one cared about the health of slygherins, well except maybe slughorn but that was only the purebloods, which was why the two had tried to focous the the prank on the few half-bloods in the snake pit.
"Whats going on?", he asks trying to ignore the disappointed looks his parents were giving him. They had never been mad at him before he didnt like the guilty feeling he was starting to experience.
"Can you tell us, James? Why'd you hurt someone thats pregnant?", his mother asks with clear disappointment.
James just looks at his mum confused. Lily was fine, she still wasnt talking to him but thanks to bribs for mary McDonald he knew how she eas doing. And the three half-blood slytherins were all boys.
Seeing that james was still confused the Headmaster, with a look of anger in his eyes, says, "It is not well known, Mr. Potter but some wizard through-out history can become pregnant and, after checking the students records, its veen descovered you could have injured an expectent wizard and the child they carry."
James swallows as the guilt intensifies for a few seconds; he would never intentionally put a magical child at risk sense everyone knew how few magical beings were in the world. However he remembered it was a slytherin that had gotten sick and his guilt vanished, the Headmaster should be greatful their'd be one less slytherin.
"Im sorry, Headmaster, but why does it matter if a slytherin got alittle sick?", james asks, with no remorse in his voice.
All the adults stare at him in shock, which makes james uncomfortable, before xhis father speaks up and the response shocks james more. "The Headmaster has found, out thanks to Professor Slughorn and a friend of the student, that the student in quiestion has admitted they spent some time with you so you would be the father. This slytherin is the 'mother' of our grandchild, james.", Mr. Potter says.
James swallows as he replays the last few months back in his head. Aside from lily the only other student he had gotten so intimate with had been... "No...", he whispers as he remembers the moment at the doctor's seeing Snivillious looking sick and the protective look sirius' brother had.
It couldnt be that Snivillious of all people was pregnant. Pregnant with /his/ child. His future heir. His parents precious grandchild. James tries to control his fast breathing and the last thing he hears is: "Its good you've gotten more mature, Mr Potter, you will need it.", by mcgonagall, before everything goes black.
