Chapter 25
Crooks pov
Looking around after the grumpy servant brought me out of the new traveling crate I stretch sniffing, the Mom and Dad must have moved from the old home.
I liked the home with the not-mistress that gave me yummy fish, but this home is nice enough I need to start marking my territory.
"Crooks, Mistress Hermione asks us stay here till she come" the new servant for Mistress says while petting me.
Walking away I look around while rubbing on what is mine, coming to the spot a door for me should be I wait for it to open.
Looking around when my door doesn't open I see the handle humans use, hopping on a table I reach out trying to work it, catching it I pull till the human door open and head out.
The loud not-mistress showed me another not-mistress that mistress wants me to upset, she must be family to the loud winey boy who had the not-rat.
"No Crooks, Hermione said you need to walk with a leash and Kreacher has to do it" the Mom says bringing me back in.
The door shuts and she puts the leash Mistress used at the Mom and Dad's old home on me.
Glaring at her she laughs before scratching my chin "I know you don't like it but it makes Hermione feel better".
Turning away from her I look at the Grumpy servant till he grabs the leash and follows me out the human door.
"Lots of magic here" he says still sounding grumpy but I can hear he likes it, the magic feeling nice here.
Coming to a human feeding spot I hop up on the window looking for the not-mistress that mistress wants upset, perhaps the grumpy servant will be helpful.
Another not-mistress comes up to the window looking at us strangely, scenting her my fur poofs up as I hiss seeing her smile, another werewolf her teeth are to sharp.
The door opens letting her out with a bag of something yummy, sniffing near the bag I feel my tail twitching excitedly.
"Hey I'm Ruby everyone calls me Red, Emma called and mentioned that they had guest at the manor, you're one of the house elves right?" She asks looking at the grumpy servant.
He glares at her but nods "Kreacher is house elf for Noble House Black" he hisses.
"My Granny asked me to deliver this to the Manor it's some food we make here" she says holding the bag out.
"Kreacher need no help cooking" he growls.
"Of course not, but here sometimes everyone likes to get food here and have a relaxing night since you all had a long trip we wanted to give this to welcome you to town"
I think I like this werewolf that brings the yummy smelling food.
Seeing the grumpy servant is about to be rude I hiss slapping at him in warning, he glares at me but takes the bag nodding "thank you werewolf" he growls.
"Oh I'm not a werewolf" she says blushing.
"Kreacher know wolf magic"
"I'm not controlled by the moon, I can change when I want and still have control because I bonded with my wolf"
Raising up I sniff at her to see if she's right, finding her wolf scent is calm and happy I mark her as mine before looking at the grumpy servant.
He nods glaring at her "must take Master Crooks for walk" he grunts.
Hopping down I lead him away marking as I go, while sniffing, I hiss smelling something sweet that's not sweet.
Looking up I see the not-mistress that I was shown.
"Oh hello Mr. Cat" she says squatting down trying to pet me, hissing I slap her hand catching her with my claws *do not touch me Pink Toad*
Her eyes widen looking at me "I'm not a Pink Toad" she says trying touch me again.
I didn't know she could understand me, so why is she still trying to touch me.
Growling I bite her hand making her pull away *you look like Pink Toad and smell like her, she hurt mistress*
"How could a Pink Toad hurt someone and I'm human?"
Hearing the grumpy servant laughing I check on him shocked "Pink Toad is filth who hurts Crooks Mistress as child".
This Toad gasps covering her chest "I'd never hurt a child" she says with tears in her eyes.
"Kreacher knows Snow White, steals babies and curse them, you hurt Crooks Mistress before she hatch" he says hissing.
Seeing the grumpy servant has her attention I turn my head chewing at the leash, till the hook let's me go before pouncing this Pink Toad clawing at her and biting her face.
She screams trying to push me off but I dig my claws in more *Pink Toad will not hurt mistress* I growl.
Being thrown off I hiss crouching down glaring at the woman seeing her face has claw marks and bites from me.
"Shouldn't lie or touch animal if says no touch" the grumpy servant sneers at her.
"Mistress will enjoy meeting you has special gift, says make pretty face match your heart" he adds before snapping his fingers taking us away.
Landing in the new home I hop on the counter licking my paw "Crooks good familiar" he says petting me.
He's pets are better than the happy servant that not-mistress killed not rough and doesn't pull.
