Chapter 1
The brown wooden stump beneath Callum seemed to harden more and more as Master Rufus taught us. Aaron and Tamara also seemed very uncomfortable on their tree stumps as well. The only person who seemed comfortable was Havoc, a chaos-ridden wolf, who’d been sleeping this whole time.
All Callum could do is sigh and hope not to fall asleep. He rested his head on his fists and look down at the ground. Call expected to see the green grass and that moss he had been picking that had originally been there. But instead he found a black and purple portal with hints of orange and green brewing at his feet.
He screamed and jumped 3 feet in the air, now standing on the stump instead of sitting on it. Havoc had startled awake, and it had seemed Tamara and Aaron had done the same as the wolf.
“Callum,” Master Rufus called his name seeming confused by this outburst.
Call tried to speak, but his eyes had been locked on the portal. The others seemed to also notice this portal, Tamara yelped. Aaron looked as if he was about to chaos it out of this world.
The portal expanded, devouring Master Rufus before he had the chance to save his students and escape.
“Did you do this Call,” Tamara called out to him as the portal grew wider. Havoc whined
“I know this lesson was boring and all but you didn’t have to do that!” He continued
“Hey! I did no such thing,” Call yelled back at her, his voice cracking as he did so.
”god I hate voice cracks” he sobbed, everyone laughed at that. Forgetting about the portal underneath them growing even more slightly by the second. Changing colours as it did so.
Havoc was dragged in. Everyone went quiet, there faces going from laughter to a more scared looking expression.
”Havoc?” Call called out into the portal, hoping for a response.
“Havoc!!” Aaron screamed into the portal a bit to loud.
Still no response.
The portal didn’t seem to quite like them screaming into it. It’s solution? Creating a hand like sculpture and dragging them into it.
Tamara let out a laugh. Not believing what had just happened, she thought of running but she couldn’t just leave her two best friends.
”Hey Ta-“ Jasper appeared out of nowhere from behind a tree. He must’ve forgotten they had a lesson, good thing Rufus had not been here to catch him.
Jasper let out a terrified scream as he looked down at the massive portal,
“D-did Callum cause this..” he whispered-yelled before getting dragged into the portal.
Ravaji groaned before jumping in after her friends.
the portal ride was very quick, first she was at the Magisterium, then, a castle?
Callum attempted to get off of his poor friend, Aaron before two body’s had landed on him and Aaron, making them feel incredibly close to each other. Aaron seemed to be a deep red but also might be from him land face first on the floor.
”Sorry,” Call muttered
”it’s okay.” Aaron accepted the apology giving Call a bright, big smile.
The body on top of Call had not seemed to move.
”get off Tamara, I’m trying to breath.” Call sobbed
”Okay princess,” a much deeper voice came out, did Tamara just go through puberty? Doubt it, it didn’t really sound like her, more like… Jasper!
Jasper?
Oh.
As Jasper got off of him, Call slid off of Aaron and offered him a hand, which he took.
”Thanks, man.” Aaron thanked him for the help, Call nodded.
There was a moment of science between them before they look around realizing that they had interrupted some rich boarding school dinner.
“Go get the hat, McGonagall. We have new students joining us this year.” The old man whispered to one of the teachers by him.
”Are you sure?” She asked him, the old man nodded. She got up and left the room.
The group of kids looked up at the old man, except for Jasper. Who had been contemplating his life choices.
”Tell me your names, starting from the right.” The man said,
”Tamara Rajavi,” Tamara said looking over at Call,
”Callum Hunt.” Call had not been so fond of his first and last name,
“Jasper DeWinter.” Jasper smirked, it was now Aaron’s turn to introduce himself.
”Aaron Stewart,” he had said.
”Good,” the man said as the teacher he had called McGonagall walked out placing down a stool and holding a hat which seemed to have a mouth and eyes?
The students who had be whispering and murmuring to their friends about what was happening shushed.
”I know this is completely out of the blue, but we are accepting this children as new students and will be sorting them into one of these houses!” McGonagall informed before the students at the tables started cheering.
A certain 4 kids on the ‘red’ table had caught Calls eyes. They seemed to be cheering the loudest and seemed to hold a smirk like Jaspers on their faces. They were up to something, something bad.
”Jasper DeWinter, please come and sit down as we sort you into your house.” She spoke sternly, Jasper walked up the steps and sat down on the stool, with perfect posture. The hat was placed upon his head. Thinking for a few seconds.
“SLYTHERIN!” It made up its mind and the green table started cheering, Jasper stood up and walked over to the table and sat down next to a few other students sharing the same hair colour as him.
“Next… Callum Hunt.” She called him up, Callum limped over feeling daggers stab his leg as he walked up the stairs. But he’d been practicing his poker face for when he would play it. He finally made it up the steps and thought of the pain it would be to go down. He sat down at the stool and the hat was placed on top of his head.
”interesting.. Hufflepuff?” The hat thought. The students at the yellow table stared.
“Aha! SLYTHERIN!” The hat called out.
“Great..” Call groaned, he had to share a table with Jasper. Call struggled to make it to the table and sat down across from Jasper.
”You struggle getting up and down those steps?” Jasper asked a bigger smirk appeared on his face, Call didn’t look at him.
”A lot.” He sighed, rubbing his bad leg. He led his attention back to the stool to see Tamara also to be put in this house. Jasper and Call waved her over, she sat next to Callum.
Aaron was the last to be called up. Knowing him, he most likely was not going to be sorted into the same, house. His personality was much brighter than Calls, Tamara’s, and Jaspers. If this was going off of that.
“Interesting….” The hat thought for awhile,
”GRYFFINDOR” the hat yelled as the red table stood up cheering.
