Chapter 1 (EDITED)
The brown wooden stump beneath Callum seemed to harden more and more as Master Rufus taught. Aaron and Tamara also seemed very uncomfortable as well. The only person who seemed comfortable was Havoc, a chaos-ridden wolf, who’d been sleeping.
All Call could do is sigh and not fall asleep. He rested his head on his fists and look down at the ground. Call expected to see the green grass and that moss he had been picking at. But instead, he found a black puddle brewing at his feet.
“Callum,” Master Rufus called his name, most likely because he’d asked a question and wanted him to answer it.
Call tried to speak, but his eyes had been locked on the portal. The others seemed to also notice this portal, Tamara yelped. Aaron looked as if he was about to chaos it out of this world (If that were only possible.)
The portal expanded, settling under Master Rufus before sucking him in. Everyone stared dumbfounded.
“Did you do this Call,” Tamara called out to him as they started to grow wider again. Havoc whined.
“I know this lesson was boring and all but you didn’t have to do that!” She continued
“Hey! I did no such thing,” Call yelled back at her, his voice cracking as he did so.
”god I hate voice cracks” he sobbed, everyone laughed at that. Forgetting about the portal underneath them growing even more slightly by the second.
Havoc was sucked in as they laughed. Everyone went quiet, their faces going from laughter to a more horrified expression.
”Havoc?” Call called out, his voice breaking into a sob.
“Havoc!!” Aaron screamed into the portal a bit too loud after Callum.
No response.
The portal didn’t seem to quite like them screaming into it. It’s solution? Sucking them, and the stumps into itself.
Tamara let out a laugh. Not believing what had just happened, she thought of running but she couldn’t just leave her two best friends.
”Hey, Ta-“ Jasper appeared from behind a tree. He must’ve forgotten they had a lesson.
Jasper hadn’t gotten to finish his sentence before falling in.
Ravaji groaned, realizing that she would be next. She jumped in after them.
the portal ride was very quick, first, she was at the Magisterium, then, a castle.
Callum attempted to get off his poor friend, Aaron. Before two bodies landed on him.
”Whoops,” Call muttered,
”it’s okay.” Aaron accepted the apology giving Call a bright, big smile.
”Thanks, man.” Aaron thanked him for the help, and Callum nodded.
Aaron helped Jasper and Tamara. Jasper rubbed his arms after landing right on it.
Everything had become quite quiet around them, a few whispers but nothing more than that.
