Hari Potter had been many things in her life: The-Girl-Who-Lived, The Basilisk Slayer, She Who Defeated a Thousand Dementors, The Triwizard Champion, The Liar, The Undesirable Number One, The Savior, The Prophecy Child…
But the most important title she ever won, the one that had the most impact, was her title as Mistress of Death.
It was that title which came into being when she died having in her possession the three famed relics of her ancestors, the Peverell brothers, that allowed her a choice then, standing in the bright White halls of her mind’s King’s Cross Station.
A choice between going back to finish the war that had ruined her whole life and probably never leave the fighting and the attention behind or moving onto a new life, free of all that had made her suffer.
It probably should have been harder to choose.
Lord Death smiled at her choice and touched her forehead, his presence cold and warm at the same time, and suddenly her body felt like it was on fire, but it did not hurt.
She would never know it, but at that moment her magic mutated based on what run through her blood: phoenix tears and basilisk venom. And so with a touch of Death was born a Quirk based on the most astounding capabilities of both beings.
Then everything went black, and when she woke up next, there was only fire around her.
