Still Remus

Chapter 3: Remus

I scoured over all my lists, dates, contracts and everything else I had collected. Later that night, I received a drunken call from Voldylocks, who said that she had lied about James and Lily being murderers, and that Sirius killed Evan. I knew that this was a lie as he was watching TV with me at the time of death. I told her to stop lying to me and she hung up. After such a long and stressful day, I hauled myself to bed, ready to pick the case up again in the morning.

A piercing shriek filled the air and woke me with a start. I jolted up and sprung out of bed to see what the racket was about. What I saw made my run cold. My fingers trembled. Beads of sweat drenched my forehead.

"Padfoot!"

I yelled my heart out and launched into full panic mode. Whining rung in my ears and pulled tears out of my eyes. We rushed to the hospital as I helped my husband through this terror. I called Regulus and informed him of this Sirius offence. But who has a motive to kill Sirius? No one.

As Regulus scrambled to the hospital. I saw the look of terror in his eyes and knew. This wasn't his doing.

Evan had died with a knife in his chest, so I decided to try and find out who might have access to a knife. The cook. Bellatrix Black.

I talked to Bellatrix and she said that the knife had been stolen from their kitchen, however, the only person who been in the kitchen was James. James and Lily had recently been kicked off the list, but by know I knew better than to trust Voldylocks. As questions swirled in my head, I wondered who was behind this great mystery.
