Chapter 5
The walk from Starbucks to his flat was pleasant, as always. The late-March sun shone down on his back, bringing unusually warm weather with it. Remus shut his eyes and turned his head towards the sky, smiling softly.
Then he remembered Sirius.
He frowned, that man had acted strange.
He pulled out his phone, still frowning.
He logged into it, and opened Google, typing in Sirius Black.
The images that popped up were definitely the man that had come into the shop, so Remus scrolled down further, looking for facts and a general overview of him.

Instead, he clicks on a promising looking website labeled Musical Sensation, Sirius Black: What There Is To Know.
The website loaded; there was a photo of Sirius smirking at the camera in a black crop top. His leather jacket was draped over his shoulder casually, and he had his hands tucked into his pockets. He had eyeliner tracing his eyes, but other than that, very little make up. Underneath the photo, the text read:

“We’ve all heard of the recent musical sensation of The Marauders, featuring stars Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and James Potter. We know what each of them is like on the stage: charismatic, charming and very… bright. But what are they like when they’re alone, without a group of fans fawning over them?

There’s just so much to cover! Sirius is his own person, that’s for sure. I think this would best be taken in groups, so here we go!
Family:
Sirius likes to say that he has no family other than his brother (Regulus) and James’s parents, but I’ve done some digging, and it turns out that he is actually one of the estranged sons of Walburga and Orion Black!
The Black family is known for their huge business, ‘Black Family Enterprises’, which deals with technology and financial things. Walburga and Orion are solitary creatures, and unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find anything important about them, but here’s what you should know: Sirius and his brother ran away from their family when they were sixteen and fifteen, respectively, and they went to Sirius’s best friend, James’s house, in hopes of finding a safe place to stay.
One could say they found more than that.
Within two months of living with James, Sirius was practically James’s parents' adopted son, and Regulus was James’s boyfriend.”
It was interesting, but not what Remus was looking for. He scrolled down further until he found the subheadline labeled “Musical days and hobbies”
“Musical Days and Hobbies
Once Sirius stopped his acting career, he asked his best friends, James and Peter, if they would start a band with him. Of course, they said yes, and now they are the phenomenon we know as The Marauders. We, of course, know all about what goes on on stage, but what are some hobbies that Sirius takes part in now?
Writing: Sirius loves to write song lyrics, poetry, and (according to Regulus in an interview) occasionally works on a novel! Other than that though, we don’t know much about this hobby, which is unfortunate.
Drinking coffee: Apparently, Sirius enjoys spending his time going to different local coffee shops. We’ve heard from different sources that James and Regulus do not like coffee, but Sirius can’t stay off the caffeine. His typical Starbucks order is a Caramel Frappuccino with a Lemon Loaf.”
There was more, but Remus couldn’t make himself read it. Plus, he had just gotten home, and Lily would want to hear about his day.
He opened his apartment door, preparing himself for the interrogation.
“How was your day!” Lily asks, excited.
The school year had just started, and Lily taught first grade, so her being around all those little kids for six hours every day tended to hype her up as well.
“Good.” Remus replies. “Pretty sure a celebrity came in, but he’s annoying as fuck.”
“A celebrity?” Lily questions.
“Mhm.” Remus says, pouring himself a cup of tea. “Sirius Black. He was smitten with me. A bit sad, really.”
“Sirius Black came into your shop and you found him annoying?”
“Oh god, don’t tell me you’ve heard of him.”
“Of course I’ve heard of him! Mary won’t rant about anything else, and all the kids at my school won’t stop talking about him!”
“Fuck”
“No! You must take Mary tomorrow. If what you say about him being smitten with you is true, he’ll come again tomorrow. Tell Marlene about it and ask her to act sick. Mary’ll go in, work her extra hours like the good girl she is, and boom, Sirius bloody Black walks in!”
“Fine. Only if you get off my back about it.”
“Deal.” Lily smirks.
