They all stopped beside one of the window’s of the mansion and Moxxie glanced inside only to blink in shock.

“Wow…”

Curious, the others all peered inside the room as well. Inside was the now elderly Lyle Lipton laying on a bed with medical equipment surrounding him. Lipton stared deeply into a picture, completely unaware of the fact he was being watched.

“That machine really did a number on him…” Moxxie told them.

Lipton kissed his photo, “Goodbye, my one true love. All the riches of the world can’t fill the emptiness I’m feeling now that my shitty old body can’t do anything of value.”

He then proceeded to create a noose for himself using his IV wire.

“Oh, fantastic. He’s going to do our job for us.” Blitzo said with a grin.

“Should we go in there and… tie it for him?” Moxxie asked, confused as to what they were supposed to do.

They all watched as Lipton stared intently at the noose he’d made and Seren quickly gave everyone some snacks that he’d kept from their tour bus. Once everyone had some popcorn and a drink, they all watched as Lipton began to lift the noose over his head. However, before he could put the noose over his head, it glowed a brilliant white before disappearing in a strong flash of light. The light gave off a force of it’s own that blasted them all backwards. A bright light appeared before Lipton and three cherubs floated down before him. One cherub looked like a sheep, the middle cherub looked like a baby, and the final cherub looked like a lamb.

“Oh lord, I’m being haunted by ugly orphan children now!” Lipton exclaimed after adjusting his glasses.

“Who the fuck are they?” Blitzo snapped, angered due to losing his tail sock puppet from the blast earlier.

“Oh no! Sir! Those are…” Moxxie exclaimed, only to be interrupted by the newcomers.

“Cherubs, Mr. Lyle!” The middle cherub told Lipton happily.

“I hate filthy stinking orphan children!”

“We’re here to convince you not to kill yourself, sir. To grant you a blessing.” The sheep cherub told him with a small, humble bow, “On behalf of those in heaven benefited by your amazing technological advances.”

“Oh h e l l no!” Blitzo snarled as he pulled out his gun and began storming towards the cherubs speaking to his suicidal target, “Don’t listen to…”

He was cut off as he crashed straight through the window and fell flat first on his face. The door next the the now shattered window opened and Moxxie entered the room with the others peering into the room from the doorway.

“Lyle Lipton, it is our…” Moxxie stopped as he glanced over at his boss laying on the floor before deciding to ignore it, “humble opinion that you should continue the process to… commit die…”

“I mean, what do you expect to do with all this money now that your old and gross.” Millie asked as she entered the room to stand beside her husband.

Seren and Vortex entered the room next, Seren still being held in Vortex’s arms.

“Is that a serious question?” The lamb cherub asked as she tucked Lipton into bed, “He could help spread his wealth around with the people of the world and do so much good with it! And be so fulfilled.”

“No!” Lipton said, his lips curled in disgust.

“He can pay for new hospitals and schools!” The sheep cherub said happily, either ignoring or not noticing the venom in the old man’s tone of voice.

“Why won’t you let me die?” Lipton questioned sadly.

“Oh! Sounds like you need help offing yourself there, buddy. Moxxie, what do we got for this fella?” Blitzo answered.

Moxxie quickly began pulling weapon after weapon out of his pockets as he began to speak, “I have some assault weapons, crossbow, hunting bow, Tommy gun, old-fashioned shotgun, revolvers and three calibers, chainsaw, katanas…”

“He’s classier than all that!” The sheep cherub argued before hearing a gun click and seeing Lipton trying to kill himself which he quickly put a stop to, “There’s plenty of reasons to want to live, Mr. Lyle.”

“Yeah right, smells like he ain’t been outta bed in months!” Millie argued.

She sniffed the air and immediately held her mouth in shocked disgust as she almost threw up then and there. She could only stop herself for a few seconds before she threw up and began to dry heave, Moxxie watching her in concerned disgust.

“Love can be beautiful at anyage.” The baby cherub said slowly.

Seren looked disgusted, “That cherub sounds really condescending. I’m not the only one hearing this, right?

Vortex was watching the entire scene with a raised eyebrow, “No. I can definitely hear it, him and that lamb chick, but what I’m more interested in is how that little imp fit so much in his pockets and how inLucifer did he have the strength to carry it all the way here.”

Moxxie glared at Vortex for insinuating he was weak before helping his wife up with a look of concern.

“And we’llshowhim!” The lamb cherub exclaimed with a ridicules amount of enthusiasm.

“Yay!” All three cherubs cheered eagerly.

“Nooo!” Screamed the three imps as Seren and Vortex decided to just continue watching from the sidelines as much as possible.

The cherubs then wheeled Lipton from his bed outside. They quickly took him to a beautiful forest and meadow. The lamb and baby cherub smiled happily while the sheep cherub looked rather uncertain, wearing a frown. The imps disguised themselves as animals and waited by the sidelines to wait for the perfect moment to interrupt the cherubs.

“Look around, Lyle! God’s gift of nature is a wonder to behold, regardless of age or wealth!” The baby cherub said with a wink.

“If you were to end your life, you’d be missing a l l of this.” The sheep cherub told Lipton softly, putting on a smile as soon as it was his turn to speak.

“Mhm.” Blitzo interrupted, causing the lamb and baby cherubs frown in annoyance while the sheep cherub didn’t react to his interruption, “You gonna buy that load of shit from a baby and the sheep it fucks?”

The baby cherub glared at Blitzo and the sheep cherub’s eyes widened in shock at what he’d just heard. The lamb cherub gasped and put her hands over her mouth in astonishment.

She then pointed angrily at Blitzo with a glare, “That is soinappropriate!”

“Oh kiss our ass, prude!” Millie yelled as she flipped off the lamb cherub with both hands.

“A n y w a y,” Blitzo said as he inched closer to Lipton, “Take it from me, a fellow genius, nature is no picnic up close.”

Blitzo takes out a pair of binoculars and Lipton stares at the adorably fluffy animals sitting peacefully in the meadow. The scene quickly became darker as a pack of wolves began shredding and devouring the innocent creatures.

“Oh no!” Lipton cried out.

“S-stop looking!” The sheep cherub pleaded as he tried to take the binoculars out of Lipton’s grasp.

“I can’t stop!” Lipton exclaimed as he saw a bear appear and injured one of the wolves, “I’ve never wanted to die more than I do now.”

He continued to watch as the bear hovered over the wolf, ready to end it’s life, only to be killed by a falling tree. At the other side of the fallen tree was a smiling lumberjack wielding a chainsaw. However, a beehive landed over his head and he threw his chainsaw into the air as he scrambled to try to get the bees to stop stinging him. The chainsaw managed to remove both his arms and the man screamed as he waved around two bloody stumps. He was then impaled by a moose as lightning struck behind the scene. Both Lipton and the sheep cherub continued watching in horrified silence while Blitzo feigned surprise before smirking at the two’s reaction.

The baby cherub chuckled nervously, “Let’s go check some place else.”

Moxxie and Millie fist bumped while Vortex kept Seren’s eyes closed despite his protests.

“What happened? I didn’t get to see! Come on, please!” Seren pleaded, wanting to know what was happening.

“Sorry, little man. Your old man wants me to keep you as innocent as possible when it comes to animals and… mature content. It’s in my contract.” Vortex said.

“That’s surprising. A demon actually caring for it’s offspring’s supposedinnocence. How… humane.” The lamb cherub drawled out before giggling and leaving with her colleagues to show Lipton the joy’s of life once more.

The baby cherub broke a wall down using Lipton’s bed and, once the dust had settled, revealed the self-satisfied smirk on the baby cherub’s face. Seren and Vortex followed the rest of the cherubs as they went to stand beside Lipton’s bed.

“Oh lord, where are we now?” Lipton asked, “Let me perish!”

“We’re here to show you another thing life is worth living for. Childhood wonderment.” The lamb cherub said as she pointed to a crowd of children all waiting to sit on Santa’s lap.

The sheep cherub glanced at the two demons in human disguises that were standing near them, especially the demon child watching him. Seren smiled softly before waving at the sheep cherub, he knew there was more to the cherub than meets the eye. The sheep cherub quickly glanced around to see if his colleagues had noticed and saw that they were still distracted. He then smiled shyly back and waved to the child.

“Why, look at those sweet diseased-ridden vermin. Th-their joy comes from innocence unspoiled by the burdens of adulthood and their middle-class existence. Such simple joy they have. It is inspiring. Thank you for showing me this.” He said to the sheep cherub.

The sheep cherub smiled softly at the smiling old man, happy he had helped the man see there were many things left to live for. Seren quickly walked up to the sheep cherub.

“Hi, my name is Seren. What’s your name?” Seren asked the sheep cherub.

“My name is Collin, little one.” The sheep cherub, Collin said softly, “The other male cherub is named Cletus and the female cherub is Keenie. Now, why are you in the living world? Aren’t you a bit too young to be away from your parents?”

“My mom’s on vacation and my dad wants me to bond with his lover. It’s the bigger male imp, his name is Blitzo. You know, you shouldn't have to force yourself to constantly agree with your co-workers. If you think what they’re doing is wrong, you should tell them.”

Collin stared at the child, startled. He hesitated before he opened his mouth to reply, only to be interrupted.

“Hey, dipshit! Wanna see whose lap your sitting on?” Blitzo, disguised as one of Santa’s elves asked the child sitting on the mall Santa’s lap.

Blitzo then pulled off the Santa disguise to the kid sitting in his lap’s horror. Once removed, it revealed a creepy looking man wearing a too-small #cuties t-shirt and a pair of stained underwear.

“Ooh!” The exposed man gasped.

The children all began to scream and try and escape as quickly as possible. The lamb cherub Keenie, Collin, and Lipton stared at the scene in shock before Lipton burst out crying like an infant. The two cherubs instantly covered Lipton’s eyes as the creeped out baby cherub Cletus hurriedly began wheeling the bed out of the room. They quickly took him to a large hill called ‘Lover’s Lookout’

“Uck. This place reeks of teenagers.” Lipton scowled in disgust.

“Lover’sLookout, sir! We’re here to remind you about possibly life’s g r e a t e s tjoyofall.” Cletus cooed happily.

“Money.” Lipton replied instantly.

“No!” Collin exclaimed in concern before closing his eyes with a soft smile, “Love.”

“I’ve never been in love before. I imagine it’s… quite nice.” Lipton said softly.

“It’s not too late, sir. You could still find…” Collin said before being interrupted by an amused, disbelieving snort.

The cherubs and Lipton all turned to see the three imps dressed as pretty girls.

“Ha! Nice try ugly!” Blitzo said before taking out a megaphone, “Hey, horny lovers? Which one of you would fuck this old man!”

Lipton dropped down in depression as all the cars and the RV that were parked on top of the hill immediately raced away.

“Well, that was fast.” Vortex said with a snort as Seren nodded in agreement.
