Chapter 13
The Marauders were always passing notes in lessons, just stupid things like insults about Snape or how boring the lesson was. They even once made up a secret code to discuss their pranks with. Therefore, McGonagall was also used to confiscating these notes and reading them about to embarrass normally James or Sirius.
However, one day Sirius had written a note and was just about to lean over to pass it to Moony when a hand grabbed it from his desk. He looked up in anger which quickly turned to fear as he saw it was McGonagall who had taken his note. McGonagall opened the note and took a breath to read it aloud when she noticed it's contents. "I love you" it read. "I would like to remind you not to pass notes in my lesson, Mr Black," she said. Sirius nodded and McGonagall placed the letter on Remus' desk, where it had been going before she took it. As she turned her back to the class, a small smile formed on her lips.
