Chapter 5
When the Marauders were leaving school for the final time they had to consider what to do with the Marauders Map. They debated many ways to leave behind their legacy. Sirius wanted to sneak into Filch's office and hide it there for any future troublemakers. Remus wanted to leave it in the Room of Requirement so that the school could decide who needed the map the most. James wanted to leave it in the common room for some unsuspecting first years to find. In the end they decided, as it was their last day, to take the map to Professor McGonagall and explain what it did. They asked her to keep the map until she found someone who she deemed worthy or in need of the map. When the time came she hid the map in Filch's office, which suggested she thought in similar ways to Sirius, which was a terrifying thought, for some redheaded twins to find during their weekly prank.
