Chapter 2
Hope Lupin was startled out of her long-awaited nap by a loud cry.
“Hermione!” She spoke while quickly donning her robe. She arrived at Hermione's room and was horrified by what she saw. Hermione was writhing on her bed and screaming hysterically.
'I didn't do it,' Hermione cried out. Hope was unaware of what she did not do.
Hermione, are you all right? Hope prodded Hermione to the side and questioned. Hermione nearly hit her mother in the head when she sat up and opened her eyes. “What was that Hermione? Are you alright?” Hope was uncertain.
Hermione responded,
"I'm OK mom, I just miss Remus, that's all," as tears streamed down her face. Hope sensed that something wasn't right, but instead of probing further, she embraced Hermione with a motherly embrace.
Hermione broke down into relentless tears, hugging her mother harder.
“I love you mum,” Hermione said. They lay in contented peace for some time before Hermione went to sleep.

"Lupin Remus" McGonagall, the professor, said.
Not Slytherin, Not Slytherin was the mantra Remus silently repeated as he approached the sorting hat.
When the Sorting Hat was put on his sandy brown hair, he braced himself on the firm, probably antique seat. Hello Mr Lupin. Call me Remus, you have the ambition of a Slytherin and the intelligence of a Ravenclaw, but I doubt either house would allow a werewolf to live in their domain. You will fit in well in "Gryffindor". The Sorting Hat yelled.
Remus didn't want to talk to anyone, so he approached the Gryffindor table and sat down at the end.
Food started to come to the table when the Sorting was finished. Seeing that tomorrow was a full moon, Remus only ate a small amount. As the first years had to go to bed, he was relieved and ignored every talk that was going on. He went in the direction of the Gryffindor Common Room after the perfect. A blonde prefect remarked,
"Guys, your dorm is on the right, and girls, your dorm is on the left.”
Remus walked to his bed and fell asleep right away, hoping for friends and dreaming of a future free of werewolves.

A Hogwarts owl flew through the open window and dropped a letter onto Hermione's plate.
Turning it over Hermione brushed her finger against the wax seal before opening it.
Reading it through she squealed in excitement and displayed her mother the letter.
“I'm going to Hogwarts,” Hermione said.
”I can't wait!”
Hermione's birthday was on September 19th so she got her Hogwarts letter mere weeks after Remus started.
**************TIME SKIP
Hermione stared in awe at the cluttered alley, filled with the most peculiar shops. She immediately ran towards Flourish and Blotts and sat down, reading her course books for the school year.
“Hermione come on,” Remus complained, “ you've been in there for half an hour!”
Hermione reluctantly stood up and stretched, before following her brother out of the bookshop.
He led her towards Florean Fortescue’s ice cream shop. Sitting there was a boy with a mop of unruly black hair, circular glasses and hazel eyes.
He reminded her of Harry, she wanted to go and jump into his arms but reprimanded herself.
That was James Potter.
“Hey, Remus! How are you!“ James said cheerfully
“I'm good James,” Remus responded,” how are you?”
“Good,” James answered.
Hermione sat down at the closest table, which coincidentally was the same one James was sitting at and told Remus to get her a chocolate frog ice cream.
“You're Remus’s sister, right?” Questioned James whilst Remus was walking away.
“Obviously, why else would I be here with you ?” Hermione replied, with a pinch of sass.
“I'm wounded,” James said as he dramatically fell back on the chair. Hermione smirked.
“Didn't know you could smile, princess.” James flirted, sending a wink her way.
“You're joking if you think you would have a chance with me.” Hermione snapped as Remus walked their way carrying 2 chocolate sundaes.
“Here you go, ‘Mione,” Remus said whilst sitting down on a plush velvety chair next to her.
“Thanks, Remy,” Hermione replied as she tucked into her ice cream, relishing the taste. After a few minutes, her mum popped in telling Hermione that it was time to get her wand.
